Mine came with both the carpeted and rubber mats (summer/winter). I think it was an $175 option?

DRL / Daytime Running Lights (lamps)
shaners replied to Hybrid dude's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors & Wipers
I think they are a great safety feature and I have noticed that the Prius has them. I wonder if Ford left them out to extend battery life and therfore increase overall MPG? -
My 16" tires and wheels came today. I will mount and take a pic of them later this week.

Anyone noticed a problem starting in Reverse?
shaners replied to CNCGeek's topic in General Discussion
I wonder if the problem could be caused by the "hill holder" feature (especially if you shut the car off with the brake depressed). I have this feature turned off on my car and I am not saying that I may not sometime experiance this problem but so far everytime we have tried to back up after a start, the car has done what it is told to do. -
I finally got it to accept my address. I don't know why it was being so stubborn...

Even after doing a "master reset" I still cannot set my "home" destnation in NAV. The soft touch button does nothing... I am getting a little frustrated and the wife will be mad because she will have to redo her phone to the car. Any ideas?

My wife just took two 100 mile round trips in cold weather and very hilly terrain with her and my 2 daughters in the car. This was on 2-lane and 4-lane roads with speed limits varying from 55-65 MPH. There were also a few small towns along the route that had stop lights and stop signs. She averaged just under 40 MPG and the car has less than 500 miles on it. Under these consditions and the fact the car isn't broken in yet, I would consider this milage acceptable.

We went to look at a 2013 Fusion Hybrid. We had never heard of a C-Max. They had a few C-maxs' on the lot and they caught our eye. For us the C-Max is a much more practical automobile than the Fusion.

Radio keeps losing it's presets
shaners replied to shaners's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
I guess we will just live with it for now... Hopefully Ford will contact everyone when the software updates are available! -
Has anyone else had the problem with their radio losing the presets? It has happened 3 times now in the less than 2 weeks we have owned the car.

Welcome! I have the "premiun" white paint also and it is a beautiful pearl paint! I have compared it to my BMW which sits besdie it in the garage and Ford has done s great job painting this vehicle!
-
Joe you can go up or down in wheel size but you have to make the proper adjustment in tire size to keep the overall diameter of the tire the same as the stock overall diameter.

The local small town dealer we bought ours from has several SE's and SEL's on his lot. In fact he has more than all the other dealers within 50 miles have combined! When Ford first announced this car he must have placed multiple orders.

I just ordered a set of X-Ice 215/55/16 and 16x7.5" wheels from Discount tire direct. They are having $100 off black Friday deals. Total price delivered was $909. (I didn't order the TPMS sensors and will just deal with the light being on for 3 months out of the year)
-
Thanks! I thought they would fit! Now I am wonderinging if it is worth the extra money for TPS monitors. I am not sure if the monitors would require constant attention or just once during startup.. Most vehicles require once but a constant dinging would be annoying.... whereas a light on the dash would be acceptable.

Seymour you are right! We are avg about 95% right now on regen braking. Alot of times we see 98-100%. Laural, my wife has a beautiful bicycle she could ride too, but even though she is very physically fit, she still drives :-(
-
I really would like to know if a 16" wheel will fit this car. I think it will but I was hoping someone has read somewhere that it definitly will fit. I want to buy some winter tires and wheels and it will save me at least $100 if I can go down to a 16"

Laural, I have told her just to walk... it is good for her and will keep the door dings off the car! I might as well talk to the wall!

Sync Freeze Issues (Navigation)
shaners replied to seattlerain's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
I think the SYNC software is more finicky and harder to use than the "hated" I-Drive in my BMW. At least I can set a home address in the BMW, wheras I have failed miserably in this car... -
I agree! We just took a 20 mile round trip to dinner and averaged 45+ MPG. I think this car (like any car) is not efficient until the gas engine is warm. 1,2 or 5 mile trips won't get the advertised milage unless the car is already warmed up. Obviously the gas engine is needed for extra power and heat and charging, and once that motor is warm you will enjoy great MPG's. My wifes 3/4 mile commute four times a day will kill our overall MPG's.

Ours is Platinum white and we like it alot! I think maybe a 50% tint on the windows will make it perfect!
-
My wife just bought a 2013 Cmax SEL with the 302A pkg and sunroof (waste of money) thing. It is the pearl white (titanium?). with only about 150 miles on it we are getting around 40 mpg.

shaners replied to redEV's topic in Sightings - C-MAX Hybrid's Spotted!
Our local dealer has 4 on the lot.... small town dealer! -
We went to look at the Fusion Hybrid and bought a C-max
