  1. Are there Taxi shops around? They may be familiar with the Ford Hybrid Transmission repair/replacement for less money. Personally I would sell the car and not bother with any repair at that mileage.
  2. Mine had minor seepage at the transmission halves since around 70K. It was minor though
  3. I have two factory alloy wheel (2013-2016) with tires. Wheels are in excellent condition and the tires can last another 10K miles if not more. $150 pickup for Each. 2 for $260. Also have a donut spare with tire(fits easily in the trunk) for sale{ $75 pickup Pickup near Manhattan; Brooklyn / Queens or Bronx; and perhaps Jersey City
  4. The problem automajically went away this morning when I started the car. I cleared the codes; drove it around a bit and nothing comes back. Go figure...
  5. Just put in a 3rd one at 89K. 2013 CMax, first battery went out in 2015 under warranty.
  6. What were the symptoms of Fuel Injector Failure? I got misfire with P202 on a cold day (first time ever). I tried starting the car several times the same night (didn't drive it) and the same misfire/code was present. The next day (warmer day) when I started the car the problem went away......
  7. Just found out that Rockauto has the Motorcraft rebuilt axle (Right) for $145 + shipping. I do have a competent local mechanic who can pull and install an axle within 45 mins(given there are no seized/ruste parts) just in case
  8. Did fluid come out when you pulled the axle?
  9. Sometimes aftermarket driveshafts are prone to vibration; and you can see the difference of the shaft diameter in the photo. I'd prefer having a shop to rebuild the boots and re-use the OEM axles. Let us know how it turns out.
  10. I have a non-Energi model and I tend to let ICE kicks in before driving off. My theory is that it's better to let the transmission fluid circulates before the car starts moving. Not sure if this helps with transmission longevity. I'm at 83K and the only issue is minor transmission fluid weep.
  11. Thanks, I was able to find it easily. I think I can use a large syringe and insert fluid; or use a transmission funnel with a tubing.
  12. Thank you. this even shows the torque spec which seems minimal
  13. Thanks for the information. I took out the left wheel but I couldn't locate the middle check/fill plug. A picture or guidance would be helpful.
  14. How did you clean the gear oil out from the bottle?
  15. No, unfortunately mine is not compatible with Forscan and I need to find out which one of my TPMS sensors is giving faults
  16. I use an OBDII ELM327 device to monitor battery voltage while driving. We have a relatively warm week and the Voltage with the car running is about 13.3V- 13.5V. When it was cooler the voltage reading was about 14.3 - 14.5V. What's happening? Nothing seems to be wrong and no dead 12V battery for many months already
  17. Thanks for the info. Assuming I'm filling the fluid on a flat surface from the middle plug there is no way to overfill the transmission.
  18. I wonder if I can open the middle plug and fill from the top plug. When fluid begins coming out from the middle plug I assume it's at the optimal level, correct?
  19. Thanks for the info. Which plug did you use for re-fill? Top or middle?
  20. Thank you. The reason I'm asking is that I noticed fluid weep (red) along the bottom of the transmission halves. I assume the loss is minimal since nothing seems to drip onto the ICE bottom cover. Since there is no way to check fluid in this car(which is kind of stupid); I'd like to top off the oil every 10K or 15K miles.
  21. Where is the fill plug for the transmission and can fluid be filled with conventional tool?
  22. Once in a while I get the Tire Pressure Sensor Fault and it goes away automatically after some time. I figure one of the sensors is low on battery. But....how do I tell which of the 4 tire sensors is low on battery? I have a generic OBDII scanner but not FORSCAN.
  23. Above are what I saw when I tired to change the oil today. I saw one drop of red fluid hanging from the metal. The leak isn't too severe because the removable plastic underneath it is dry. It seems the rear main seal is leaking a tiny bit but the drop of oil suggests it is leaking transmission oil. Is this supposed to fall under the 8yr/100K Hybrid component warranty? I also have GEICO 's mechanical breakdown coverage but not sure if this applies.
