  1. Paul, is it possible that Ford created a new undertray for the 2014, and the air dams have attachment points in that new undertray? If I'm correctly envisioning what you've been describing about the air dam mounting points (and no visible corresponding place on your car), perhaps a revised 2014 undertray might explain it?
  2. That seems like a fair price, given the price for the unfinished piece + the price we've seen quoted stateside to get it painted. Now I'm really looking forward to seeing it on your car! I had been thinking of having one painted platinum white to match the car color, but might change my mind after I see your piece. Given the time/cost you would put into making your own, this seems like the way to go.
  3. If you end up deciding to to the Loder direction, please keep us informed. I've been interested in that rear spoiler too. Really interested to hear what the process of ordering/shipping/receipt will be. OTOH, best of luck with the continuing project. I feel your pain as you deal with the setbacks - been there too. :)
  4. Paul, would you mind pming me your dealer contact? I live on the other side of town, but have a good friend who works in Peachtree City, I could probably pay over the phone and he could pick the parts up for me. Thanks!
  5. Aw c'mon, give us the part numbers! :) That's great news, hopefully (along with part numbers) the other parts/numbers will start dribbling out from Ford.
  6. Really nice work! I wouldn't even think of trying to do this, I admire your work! I also agree with your frustration with Ford. Why in the world wouldn't they offer these updates through the parts system? Sometimes car companies really are puzzling.
  7. I take it you decided against the ready made spoiler from Germany? Were you ever able to contact to see if they would ship to the U.S.? <I'm still somewhat interested in that spoiler, so curious what you found out>
  8. Go spend some quality time on a BMW forum, you'll be disabused of that notion.
  9. Paul, they definitely are not the same. When I was at the dealer, I was able to park my Energi next to an Escape, and the shape of the rear glass is definitely not the same. The trim piece from the Escape would not fit our cars (unfortunately).
  10. Please let us know what you find out. Last time I was at my dealer, I visited the service department, and they looked up the trim pieces on the sides of the rear window. The parts system did not show the pieces as a separate part number; in the illustration, it appeared they were considered part of the glass/hatch.
  11. Great post, helped me figure this out. In the Energi manual, it states "pull the stalk towards you" [not push the stalk down], which is what was giving me the problem.
  12. Paul, I bought some new blades today, and according to the manufacturer book, the sizes are 28" and 24". Might be worth double checking the sizes when you get ready to replace the blades.
  13. It's worth a try. You could buy only the 28" refill first, install it on the passenger side with the existing 28" blade on the driver's side, and test it out. If for some reason it doesn't work, transfer the new 28" blade to the driver's side, buy the 26" for the passenger side, and you're done! No harm, no foul.
  14. Traveler, that's good info, and thanks for the link too! :) I just got back in from a short drive, and I realized what I'm really requesting is a thumbs up/down icon, not just the functionality. The problem with the current set up is that it requires the user to look at their phone to ascertain the status of the current song playing (the thumb logos are bolded if an "up" or "down" has been selected). Since MFT doesn't display that info, there's no choice but to look at the phone, which of course is not optimal. All that said, I really appreciate the degree of function Pandora has been given. And to a previous poster's question, I am using an iphone 5 plugged into the USB. I did not get album art through BT, only through the USB.
  15. Rebecca, Welcome to the board! I use Pandora through the USB connection, which is really nice in that I can keep my phone charged, and MFT displays album art as well as allows some control of Pandora. My question: is it possible for Ford to upgrade the Pandora app to include the thumbs up/down feature, or is this beyond MFT's capability? Also (question 2), is there any way to increase the size of the art? I really appreciate the fact that the art is displayed, but it's so small, it's not as nice as it could be. Again, is this a limitation of MFT, or do you think the size could be enlarged in future updates? Thank you for participating on the board.
  16. I discovered this on a Focus forum: MFT displays album art from Pandora if the phone is connected via USB. Granted, the art is about the size of a quarter, but at least it's something. Now if only we could get thumbs up/down on MFT as well...
  17. I'm also interested in the 2014 changes - does anyone on the board have access to Ford's parts system? I would like to put the part numbers together (from the 2014) and look into buying the changes and adding them to my car.
  18. In Europe, the C-Max can be the subject of actual modding! Here's an example from a firm named Loder1899; in this case, I really like these wheels, although I would't want such low profile tires on the 'max:
  19. I found this one, but I don't know if it's good/bad/ugly, only that they claim to match our paint colors: http://www.juicedhybrid.com/2013-2014-Ford-C-Max-Shark-Fin-Antenna-p/cmax-sharkfin-mark-ii.htm
  20. That's a good idea, OP! Also like the idea of adding this to the rear doors.
  21. It's an interesting visual mod - I think I'm going down the path of HID upgrade for the headlights, once I determine the best course of action.
  22. Amen brother, I really miss album art from my previous car. Thumbs up/down would also be nice.
  23. I've bookmarked this thread - I have a squeak coming from the glove box/A pillar area, and I wonder if it might be from this crossmember. Thanks for sharing this info!
  24. Completed the transaction yesterday, and my wife is already loving the vehicle. That's bad news, since I bought it to be my vehicle! LOL Looking forward to learning much more about the car from this forum, and doing some modest upgrades and mods as the mood strikes.
