Hi guys! Autoplay allows you to listen to the already processed music during indexing. If you turn it off, the system will index all of the music before it plays any of it. I hope that helps! Rebecca -

Hey guys, The update was not taken down, but some customers are unable to download it. We are still investigating individual VINs for why this is happening. If you've already sent me your VIN, please sit tight. For those of you that are not seeing the 3.8 update and have not PMed me your VIN yet, please do so and I'll send it to my support. :) Rebecca -

That's not the case at all, Plus 3 Golfer. The 3.8 update is for all MyFord Touch vehicles. If you're not seeing it available on your Owner account, please send me your VIN in a private message so we can investigate why it's not showing for you. :) Rebecca -

Hi raadsel, I saw your PM in the other forum. If you have any issues with your MFT, please visit your dealership. I don't ever suggest performing updates that come from a source other than your Owners account. Hey homestead, Currently, I'm sending VINs to my support to see why some of you are not seeing version 3.8. Please PM me your VIN when you get a chance so I can include yours. Rebecca -
Sorry for the delay, zalusky! We won't be offering an aftermarket kit for SYNC 3. I'm not sure exactly what the hardware differences are, but according to my resources, even if you were to somehow purchase a SYNC 3 unit, the dealers will not be able to install it for you. I hope that helps! Rebecca

Good catch! It's referring to not dialing the phone number for Vehicle Health Report when you ask to run the report. This does not impact your phonebook. Rebecca -

Hey everyone! I just received word on the Data Collection Fault error. Your dealership now has a fix for this if you meet the following criteria: Vehicle is a 2015 C-Max or Focus Electric built between 9/7/2014 – 5/5/2015. (If you're not sure, send your VIN in a PM and I'll check for you.)You have SYNC with MyFord Touch.When a Vehicle Health Report is attempted in the vehicle, MyFord Touch shows “Data Collection Fault.”Your cell phone never dials a phone number. Please let me know if you have any questions, and thank you all for your patience while we looked into this! Rebecca -

Hi jkumpire, I agree with Kelleytoons. Make sure your SYNC software is current. You can check for software updates by logging into your account at www.owner.ford.com After you’ve logged in, select the SYNC & HOW TOS tab then select CHECK FOR SOFTWARE UPDATES. If you don’t have an account, select REGISTER to create one. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions. Shaay

Hi nsteblay, You've got it! Any device plugged into the OBD port interferes with the communication system. Were you able to run the report after removing the scan guage? Shaay -

Congrats on your new C-MAX, Rob! When you lose the voice controls, what exactly happens, and have you noticed the listening ear at the bottom of the screen? Also, have you tried turning the volume knob when it goes silent? I know that sounds silly, but if Samantha is talking and you turn the volume down, it turns her voice down as well. :) Rebecca

We plan to continue releasing updates as needed for all of our SYNC systems. :) LOL! Yes, really. The MyFord and MyLincoln Touch software level V3.7 is primarily designed to support new features not available on model years prior to 2014, as well as features in markets outside North America. In the spirit of Globalization, we have included North American owners of 2014 MY and newer vehicles should they choose to update their MyFord or MyLincoln Touch system. You will have to re-pair your phone and download your phonebook after the update. Hi RobMax, Before we get to the in-vehicle portion of the install, did you unzip the file and put it onto a USB flash drive? After you do that, you'll want to take the flash drive to your car, plug it into the USB port, and then manually start the install by pressing the following buttons: PHONE > Scroll to SYSTEM SETTINGS > OK > Scroll to ADVANCED > OK > Scroll to INSTALL APPS > OK Give that a try and let me know how it goes. :) Rebecca -
