All all Energi owners... blase'?
scottwood2 replied to Kelleytoons's topic in Sightings - C-MAX Hybrid's Spotted!
I am sure that everyone on here has a real passion for this car and wants to meet others that have a C-Max including myself. I experienced the same thing for the Scion xB. At first some people were excited to see others driving by with the same car. A bunch would wave as I went by but as time went on and more were on the road this faded out. I can tell when I drive by someone who has a passion for the car but most just see it as a car and don't care about seeing another one on the road. -
Very Very nice and again great ideas. :worship: :worship: :worship: Looks like a totally different car. Can't wait to start doing some mods to mine. I have a 6 pack of Plasti-Dip in the garage. Rims and grill will be first.

Thx, It does look good. Looking forward to seeing new photos of your car with all the new changes.

Best Highway Cruising Speed for MPG's
scottwood2 replied to stratosurfer's topic in 2013 Ford C-MAX Hybrid
So if I am reading this right, the ICE is charging up the battery, supplying power to the wheels and the EV mode is also working? I did not think of this before but the charging motor and drive motors are separate, I think? -
I like. Would love to see a few pics of the whole car now. Where did you find the vinyl?

I looked into these before. I did not buy one based on what some said about having issues with abrasion of the paint on the car and moisture issues. I wanted something to put on and leave it on. Most say that these are good for trips where you put it on and take it off at the end of the trip. I ended up with a bug guard and was happy with that. Again that was for my last car, not the C-Max. Hope this helps

Hi everyone Just wondering what others have come up with for a place to hang a trash bag or some place to put trash in the C-Max?

Good tip. Thx I guess I should read the manual.

I like the ruby red too. Congrats.

Makes it pretty easy. Now if the drive in theater is open. We had a really bad storm here last night and 350k people don't have power. One of the worst storms ever. 75 mph winds

I live about 15 miles from the plant where these are built. Good to support local when I can.

Hi everyoine It finally happened. A new C-Max came home to my driveway. The exact options I wanted and I could not be happier. 2014 C-Max SE 202A WInter Package Black with Black interior. Thx to everyone for all the advice and help I have found here. I know I would not have this car right now if it was not for this forum. It is easy to find the bad stuff about a car but it is hearing the good stuff that makes the differance.

Hi everyone Is there a way to monitor the 12 volt battery SOC on the dash? We are looking at going to a drive- in theater and will use the car audio system to listen to the movie. Anyway to know when I should turn the car on to recharge the 12 volt battery? And yes I took the plunge last night and signed the paperwork to purchase my C-Max. Picking it up today! :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet:

7 months on lot vs 3 months on lot?
scottwood2 replied to scottwood2's topic in Buying, Order and Leasing
Have you and Kelleytoons been talking to my other half? ;) Just kidding. The dealer has been great so far. I have this car coming in from another dealer and if all goes well I should have it on Friday. :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: -
I have a car with the options I want available. It has the options I want exactly and I thought the build date was July 2014. I just found out that the build date is Feb 2014 so it has been sitting on a lot for 7 months. I had hoped to get a newer one. The dealership has another one with more options but the build date is June 2014. It would be more money but would getting a newer car be a better choice? Any thoughts about this car sitting for this long? Just concerned about the batteries and the fact that is has been baking in the sun for all this time. There are many older ones out there including 2013 so maybe this is not an issue? Thx

Do you have any Regrets in Buying the C-Max
scottwood2 replied to NCtoCAgirlie's topic in Buying, Order and Leasing
Really the biggest issue is price now for me. I have been waiting to see what the new round of rebates would bring. Looks to be about the same deal. Debating on a 2014 or 2015. I am just the type that likes to research everything before I buy. To me it is part of the adventure. I also am the type that drives the car for a long time. 10 years on this one now so I want to be sure this is the one. To be honest I have liked the C-Max for a while. It was the under $20K prices that caught my eye. If I could have got those prices then I would be driving one now. Of course that price is a price for employees and also if you have a lease with a non-ford vehicle. neither apply to me. I understand why they advertise this but it also makes it hard for me to know that Ford gives someone $1k off just because they lease a non-Ford car. I don't lease but neither of my cars are Ford. I am looking at switching but somehow that don't count. Kind of a slap in the face. They also send $750 coupons out in the mail but I guess I am not on that list as well. So I think you can tell that I love the car but not Fords policies on who gets discounts and who does not. I have to look at this as what I am paying compared to other cars and the price does not seem too bad for what the car is. My Scion was a fixed price. Everyone paid the same no matter what. I like that much better than playing these games. OK I am getting off of my high horse and back to thinking of good things about the car. :) -

Well I don't own one yet but have drove 5 so far with one for an overnight test drive. I have looked at many other cars as well but I keep coming back to this one. It does seem like a great car and fits my needs very well. I was concerned with issues but the problems seem to be getting fixed and I hear the number of problems are less than average now. This post makes it very hard to not to purchase one. -
Thx for the links I noticed that the FE ratings in the fleet booklet are higher than 2014 models. Old info in booklet or new rating? EPA-Estimated Ratings2.0L iVCT Atkinson-cycle I-4 HEV engine 45 city/40 hwy/43 combined mpg

Any idea of when they announce the 2015 model? I here different things about what is changed for 2015. Some say nothing and others say minor body changes. i would think there will be some changes somewhere on the vehicle even if they are minor. How many weeks from the start of production until we start seeing them on the dealers lots?

I looked into the residency restrictions too and as kostby said they are tied to your area. Really tied to where the car will be titled. Incentives here in Michigan seem to be lower with max of $2500 for the standard C-max if you take Ford financing. The Apple Ford deals looked good and the incentives are better out there. I could save well over $1000 with their incentives at Apple Ford but the dealer told me that I would only be eligible to my local incentive program. But then again traveling all that way might not be worth it anyway. You would have to be real careful to have everything set up a head of time. I can't imagine going all that way and finding out when you show up that they forgot something and the price is now higher than what you were told. Just not worth the effort to me. Even my local dealer tried to raise the price from what I was quoted on line stating that they must have looked up the wrong car. Good luck

Lemon Law & Buy Back Info and Experience
scottwood2 replied to salman's topic in Maintenance, TSB's & Recalls
Interesting. I did not know you can go through the process and still have the car but it does make sense now that I think about it. Thx for sharing and glad you still have your C-Max and I presume still like it.
