Actually the Focus can be purchased as a Fully Electric/Rechargeable car but not as a hybrid at least not to my knowledge. I've seen the fully electric model in the showroom of my local dealer, it is a nice car but I prefer the SUV spaciousness of the CMax.

Are you saying you can pull the right paddle and say something and it does not respond? Does it say "Say a command?"

StoBro2 now you have me really concerned if you are telling me that you have 3.5.1 but your home screen with the energy flow diagram is of a CMax and not a Focus? I'm attaching a picture of the screen which now graces my MFT. It definately is not a CMax. Take a look.

Well got my Max back from my dealer and they attempted to install 3.5.1 My SA called me after leaving Max for about 5 hours. She said they had trouble with the download. Made Several attempts to install and every time Near the end they said it would error and crash. So the plan was to give me the car back and once they can fix the problem the they will have me bring the car back. So for now I have a very unresponsive MFT Which does very little do to poor responsiveness of the touch screen functions. But I have managed to see the new home screen which shows a picture of a Focus not a CMax (come on Ford...really) with an illustration showing the flow of power from battery or gas to the front wheels. I can't pair my iPhone which really ticks me off and means I can't stream my music which really bugs me. So lots of useless new screens which do nothing that I can see or use at this point until Ford can get it together and finish the installation...hopefully and when? Sooner than not I hope?

FasTrak, yes I saw that as I entered the Bay Bridge yesterday. Since I rarely need to cross the bay, I don't see a need for this and when I do I always try to cross in the free direction like I did yesterday. SF to Oakland is the free direction as is on the GG Bridge from Marin to the City. GG Bridge I think is well over $5 bucks now but I'm probably wrong.

I know Salsaguy that there's room for improvement, but around here it's hard to keep those brake scores in line. Just when I get all three scores at their max line some jerk comes along and forces me to slam on the brakes to keep from a rear end collision. There goes my brake score. Not that I'm a tailgater because I'm not. I've been in too many rear enders in the course of my driving since high school. Sadly I admit many where my fault. So if anything I'm over cautious now and when ever I see brake lights coming on ahead of me I slam on the brakes out of instinct. There goes my brake score. My wife says I have an excellent reaction time for avoiding a bad situation. Very quick to swerve or slam the brakes when needed.

I'm noticing in the bay area the number of CMax sightings is really increasing. I'm seeing mostly silver gray colors and oxford white models driving around. Quite possibly I'm seeing the same cars over and over? I haven't taken the time to memorize the license numbers. However I did see another Platinum White SEL yesterday while driving around Cupertino near Apple Headquarters. It was pulling into a nicely carved out space in a rather crowded two car garage bay. Geez my SEL goes in tomorrow morning, I wasn't planning on it having to stay over night for the upgrades. Figured more like a few hours and all done. Yours same as mine September of 2012.

Ok I decided to take a drive up the west side of the SF bay this afternoon to try and use up the remaining 41miles showing till empty on my last tank. I got as far north as South San Francisco and still had probably enough to get across the Oakland Bay Bridge into Oakland without running out. But I was too chicken to go for it because you can't stop on the bridge for any reason however if I ran out of gas unless batteries would get me off the bridge on the Oakland side ...well I just didn't want to go there so I refueled. However the next tank is not a full tank since for some reason the bozo behind the cash register would not allow me more than $40, which didn't fill the tank. So now fuelly will have to compensate for the partial tank. which doesn't raise my numbers I guess :( So when I got back home the attached pictures are what my screen recorded for the trip around the bay. I like these numbers allot better than my last two tanks. The Max goes into the dealer tomorrow for the MFT upgrades which will be nice. I'm going to mention to the SA that my mileage is very erratic and has been for the last 20+ tanks. We'll see what they find and tell me.

I have something which has happened several times now. I push the start button in the morning and immediately the ICE kicks in and my battery level is at or near the bottom. I know full well I didn't leave the car tuned on because I remember seeing the screen say thanks for driving a hybrid. Really weird. Almost like some sort of power drain is happening.

I'm curious, is this something that allows you to drive through the toll booth without depositing $$$ each time because you have paid up in advance. Sort of like the muni bus passes we have here.

Can't help you much since we have no toll roads in NorCal, thankfully. Don't need that aggravation but give the Ca. politicians time and I'm sure they will find a way of bringing them here. As for your question, how did it mount on your previous installations? Does it use a suction cup to the glass? or hang from the R.V. mirror itself? Either way I would guess it could be still adapted somehow next to the large plastic bezel as you call it. Sorry I can't be more definitive since I can't visualize what it would take to mount your device. If you possibly could provide a detailed view of this device I could more clearly suggest a possible way to secure it. I'm pretty good with devising ways of mounting things for my own purposes when they arise. Used to be a CAD mechanical designer here in the SillyCorn Valley as I like to call it. It is against CA vehicle code to place anything to the windshield with a suction cup or so I've heard. But really it comes down to whether a CHP officer wants to give you a bad time about having it. Plenty of drivers place radar detectors on their windshield with small suction cups and don't seem to have any trouble.

Jus I forgot to mention here that when I got back home there was a message on my answering machine from the police saying my car was illegally parked and if not moved it would be towed. I wonder what they would have done about my dog which was waiting in the car? He's not a big dog but very protective of my property. He's a Westie and they bark allot when invaded. Plus the tow truck driver would have had to deal with the Max not being in neutral or having the smart key fob in range, but I'm sure they have ways around those obstacles. I went back to her house 24 hours after the fact and took the attached pictures. There was a driveway but I sure never saw it. How well! going to cost me 46 bucks to put it behind me.

Jus, just to let you know I made an app today to take it in on the 4th of June their earliest possible day. Guess they are busy, as I left I drove through the service area and all the bays had cars in them. I told them I wanted the outstanding field service actions performed. I'm also going to mention that my fuel mileage is so much lower than all of yours, especially you in similar terrain and driving temps and conditions. Today we hit 90 so I had the A/C on all day in my driving around the valley. As for gas I never use rotten robbie or arco, it's crap. I mainly use Union 76 or Valero because they usually have the lowest price. Sometimes Chevron as a special treat if the price is decent, but they are always the highest around here.

Well I won't be using premium in my next tank like this last one. Not worth the extra cost. This last tank isn't going to even last 500 miles. At least with cheap regular my last 6 tanks were over 500 miles. I'm using every fuel saver tip I've learned from this forum on the last 20+ tanks of gas. This premium tank is shaping up to be my worst mileage to date.

I went to this site and found allot of good stuff on my CMax including this...I'm heading for my dealer to make appointment after I print out this info. Had another moment with my NAV system yesterday while trying to navigate through neighborhood I've never visited. The system suddenly took a sharp turn and would have driven me through someone's home. Then shortly the screen went black for about a minute and came back up doing a reboot and then everything was fine again. Plus my clock was off by 5 hours. This sucks, fix it!
