Very pleased with my ProClip mount. Mine is up on the MFT portion of the dashboard, on the left side in front of the drivers A/C vent. Helps keep my iPhone5 cool as well.

You can probably rent one from a rental place in your area, check it out.

You can probably rent one in your area for a weekend

We'll see what I can record, here is a pic of the GoPro mounted on the front bumper looking back at the grille opening. Right now the louvers are fully open sitting in my garage. Hopefully this means they will fully close when I start the engine cold in the morning. Since I don't trust the suction cup mount, I have added plenty of mini bungee cords to hold it on while driving. $250 riding on my front bumper.

Got a mini cam from the wifee for Fathers Day, so now I can stick it in front of the grille to see how the air flow louvers are functioning during warm-up. Should be helpful.

Stuff doesn't fall off my glove box shelf anymore! :)

Nice! I work allot with acrylic sheets and have plenty of remnants laying around, I'll have to fabricate this for my glovebox. Thanks for posting the pic. -
I'm still concerned about my getting in the Max and starting it up only to get the ICE turning on immediately and the battery gauge shows a very low level when I know at my last shutoff the battery level was much higher at an acceptable level. Something is bring my Battery levels down with sitting overnight. I did a battery check a couple mornings back with my voltmeter. Checking from the under hood at positive "red" terminal and the ground post, reading was 11.9 to 12.1, seemed to vary a bit, wasn't steady but could of been because of my connection.

Was out driving home from a great Fathers Day picnic with my family and sister and her husband and kids. Looked down at the left side screen and saw the picture I have attached. This has to be a meltdown of some sort. This mileage isn't possible from non energi model. Especially my SEL which has been notorious for low mileage. Thoughts????

Dang! good deal, I paid almost $36k for my fully loaded Platinum White SEL OTD
-
I would do it for a different color scheme to give it a more racy look. They make one with black and red portions. I had one of these on my GMC Syclone, looked very cool.

September is a good time to drive a CMax home. I did last year on the 20th. First one in the south bay area in Platinum White, love that off white with a goldish metallic glow.
-
Yah but they look cool, I just ordered a set of 9 in black for myself as a Fathers Day present.

Never mind Jus, I did a google search and found them. I've seen these on the Mitsubishi turbo sedan, I've been thinking about fabricating them, but these are available? Why bother. Would look nice across the roof line behind the moon roof on my SEL

Jus, what are Gas Pods :headscratch: not familiar with that term. I've been toying with the idea of trying to fabricate a rear spoiler across the hatch below the width of the window. But wondered how effective it would be to help breakup that dirt you mentioned which shows so badly on our Platinum paint. If I were to build a prototype spoiler I wish I could get permission to take Max inside the 40' x 80' wind tunnel at NASA Ames Research near by me here. Really want to see a stream of air passing over the surfaces.
-
Not mine Jus not even close lately. Maybe 40 but not for long as it just falls lower in a 1/2 mile or so.
-
Great advice Jus, thanks. I always have the greatest intentions as I'm driving but always seem to screw it up. As for a 600+ tank? :banghead: I really think that lofty goal is long coming and I seriously doubt a 700 tank. But if it's meant to happen? It will.

SnitGTS, thanks for the insight. I'm impressed with your braking prowess. I've got to learn to not stab the pedal when I see brake lights going on ahead of me, that will help for starters. One time I was approaching my freeway offramp and it was a long downhill ramp with either a stop at the bottom before a left turn or a right hand turn with no stop. I was doing the stop at the time. So I anticipated my slow gradual braking and for 3/4 of the ramp I was doing pretty good when suddenly I realized I was running out of room and still going too fast so had to press the brake harder and my brake score plummeted to somewhere between 50% and 70% after it was close to 100% after a 20 mile cruise up the freeway. Improvement is needed.

I had one of these on my last two vehicles, they worked quite well and stayed nice and soft for several years. I just kept them lubed up with a good leather protectant. Was a bit of a challenge getting the lacing in place especially around the wheel spokes. You have to really lace up tightly to get a good look and then tying off the ends and keeping them from unraveling was hard.

I try to feather the pedal on inclines but to keep the ICE off on most of the hilly sections I travel it would mean dropping my speed down to just more than a crawl to keep the blue line intact. With others on the road behind me, that isn't going to happen, I'll be getting more than just dirty looks. I'm struggling with knowing how to manage my driving on non flat sections of the road and remain fuelly. Honestly I don't know how in the world you guys are achieving such high Average MPG? ;) I know my braking scores probably are playing a major part of my lack of success. But no matter how hard I try I can't keep my braking from falling to or below 50% There are just too many buttheads on the roads around here and my reaction time is touchy, I'm quick to jam on the brakes when I see cars braking ahead of me. I have been in too many rear end accidents and have become very reactionary.

I'm having an issue with my SEL's battery. If the car sits for awhile/overnight and I try to restart it, it starts fine but immediately kicks in the ICE and the battery gauge is very low. This has happened quite a few times before getting 3.5.1 upgrade and once since having it installed. Don't know what could be draining the battery? I'm not leaving anything running or plugged into the car. But there is some sort of drain happening. The power builds back up with a few miles of driving. I'd sure hate to get in and find it dead.

33.0 MPG sounds about normal at least for my SEL that is. I have almost 14k miles and this morning my AvMPG was 28, this afternoon it got up to 43 now its at 39.0 But at least now my iPhone 5 is paired thanks to something I can't figure out. My wife was pairing her iPhone 4s and it paired right up. Then she tried pairing my iPhone 5 and it paired after I tried over 20 times with no success. I hate it when she shows me up
-
Salsaguy I suspect they didn't because it isn't called out on my copy of the service order. Another fine mess with these guys. I have to take it back anyway to try and resolve my iPhone5 not pairing.
-
One other thing I noticed, if I get sloppy with my braking, Cruising, Accel and my scores fall below 50 the blue line turns yellow but returns to blue once I get above 50%. Sort of neat allows me to quickly see how bad I'm doing

I'm happy to report that I now have 3.5.1, the dealer got it up and running in a couple hours. Everything seems to be doing as it should except for two things. 1. the Liftgate is not functioning with one kick, still takes two and then sometimes it doesn't want to close without pushing the button. 2. My iPhone5 will not pair, I get the number sequence on the screen to agree with my iPhone, but when I push Yes on the screen it never see's my phone. I've tried a million times and no dice. Really bugs me since now I have to go back to using my bluetooth in my ear  but I guess it is better than before when nothing worked? So far my average mpg is between 35 and 43 so it still sucks. Hopefully this is going to change in time? Oh and I have a picture of a CMax not a Focus :yahoo:

SEL owners, check your FOB

I guess that info should be set to memory? Because if you get locked out, you can't look at the manuals unless you keep them hidden somewhere outside.
