I'm sorry everyone especially those have a good working version of 3.5.1. But until Ford gets their act together and fixes my screwed up MFT, you will be hearing me whine. I should have just left well enough alone, at least everything worked before. Now nothing works. There done bitching...at least for now.

I don't know where in town I can drive that slow and not be run over. South bay drivers aren't aware of speeds below 40-45. Even on city streets around here they think it's ok to do the speed limit normal for the expressway's.

I can speak for the tailgate hitting you in the face or head. I have a scar above my right eye from 5 stiches done at the ER. Can be a deadly weapon that tailgate...beware

You caught my interest regarding the"Wing Deflectors" what is this can you describe it in more detail? if it is what I think it is, I've been wanting it.

Who knows it could be the Platinum White SEL used in the Ad's Ford made showing it drive down the streets of Suburbia showing off the features like hands free parking and tailgate kick feature. Enjoy the ride...

I completely understand your frustration and need to vent. Took my SEL in on Tuesday and the upgrade failed 4 times at the end so they said. They told me to take it home and bring it back once they figure how to make the download complete. But I've heard absolutely nothing from Ford or my dealer for 72 hours. I'm not a happy camper and do not wait well for anything. I want instant gratification and results. I imagine that once they can get the download finished, that I will be left with iPhone 5 sync issues myself. It worked great before so I will really have a problem if I can't sync or stream music over BT. But I'm not much of an optimist.

can you take a picture of the home screen which shows the flow of electrical energy to the motor vs. the ICE? I'd like to see the CMax picture behind the energy flow diagram. I have a Focus pictured right now after my failed attempt at the upgrade

I don't understand why it worked so easily for you and mine failed 4 different attempts or so they say. It has been 72 hours and I've heard nothing from the dealer. I'm a little more than concerned about the silence. No contact unless I make it and the last time no one actually spoke to me, I just left messages which haven't been returned.

All I know is intermittently the braking score blue line is yellow and not changing but only the braking score is faulty.

Jus I'm happy for you but mine still sucks with no end in sight. :sad: ;) It seems ridiculous that this is happening, Ford get it together ASAP. They better not sit on this, give it top priority in finding a solution.

Now it appears my regenerative braking is only working part of the time. I noticed today on my way home that on the screen which shows braking, accel, cruising scores, the braking is not working at times. Instead of the blue line I have a yellow line which just sits there. Then all of a sudden it turns blue again and everything is fine until the next time it turns yellow again. I want my car working right again and sooner than not. But ultimately it is up to the great minds of Ford when that will be.

Bob999, All I can say to your comments is that is BS and it stinks big time. But at least you still have a working system, mine is dead and non-functioonal. I touch the screen and it gives me what ever it feels like. I have no pairing to my iPhone5, no nav...nada! I'm a little pissed to say the least because I'm hearing that they will call me when they get it working. yah right, could take weeks or months providing my situation doesn't just slip through the cracks. Has been 48hours since they tried to do my update and so far I've heard nothing from the dealership. But on the other side at least now my hack opens all the time with only one kick.

Jus you can count on me keeping the forum up to date as this mess unfolds hopefully into a 100% solution that hopefully comes sooner than not?

ctford I wish you all the luck, at least before they screwed mine up I had a fully functional system. Now nothing works, I'm unable to do anything. Sure you don't want to reconsider? My build date is September 2012

ok with that remark is the car image in your power distribution screen a CMax? Right now mine is a Focus per my remarks yesterday after Ford Techs screwed up my upgrade to 3.5.1. See the attached picture.

Guess I've been lucky because many times when I back my Max into the garage, I mis judge my angle approaching from the street while looking at the rearview camera to line up the colored lines with my driveway and the garage opening and have repeatedly backed the left rear tire into the curb at about 2-3mph. Obviously I'm backing up crooked as I back up off the street onto the driveway. Not too good at backing up straight.

Wanted to report that my tailgate opens with one kick after sitting asleep for 30 minutes. At least that works right.

Mine goes off the moment it shifts from reverse to drive, so it must be disabled?

Well I can speak from experience that the dealers or at least mine are definitely having some trouble with the download upgrade. Mine is totally screwed up and very little is functional right now. Most of what did work well before the upgrade, no longer works. I'm not happy :(

How do I check to see what I have installed?

I'm wondering if there's some information in the last portion of the download which tells the MFT which install is being done. My SA told me and I quote..."They tried 4 times to download the update, and each time near the end it would error." So then they decided to give me back the car while they try to figure it out and once they did then I would bring my Max back in for another try. I think ZhackWyatt is right it must be one version for all models and then there's some bit of info stored somewhere which makes the picture show as a CMax instead of a Focus like mine. Otherwise it would be too expensive for Ford to produce separate versions for each model.

Thanks everyone, I am going to have a heart to heart talk with my dealership. It appears a gross mistake has been made. Stay Tuned :sad:

If you read my earlier thread about the nightmare I've entered with the failed attempt to install 3.5.1 onto my CMax. I like to ask for some information from those of you who have the new upgrade running on their CMax. Does your home screen which depicts the power flow diagram which shows the flow of electric power vs. ICE. Does it show a CMax in the picture or a Focus like what I have currently partially installed on my CMax. Thanks for your feedback. One owner told me he has a picture of a CMax showing on his MFT screen which makes allot more sense than a Focus like I'm presently showing. I'm wondering if the dealer has attempted to install the wrong upgrade? And possibly why it repeatedly failed to fully download or so they tell me.
