Wow that really sucks. Today I got backup into the 41 range on that same tank so I'm feeling better. But the tank is almost done, if I'm lucky I will get 500miles to the tank but it will be close. I'll have to run it down to the last drop to get it.

I'd like to know how difficult it is to make the change to the shark fin antenna? I don't want to open up the headliner inside the car to gain access to the connections of the factory antenna. If that is what it takes? I'll keep what I have.

Thanks for the encouraging thoughts, seems we all experience setbacks so I'll stop stressing over it. I hope Michigan thaws out before the event?

I seem to be in a downward spiral the last two tanks. I'm doing everything I can to keep my numbers above 44mpg but they just keep going down and fell to 39.9 on my way home from church today. Road was flat and hypermiling at 32 mph while staying inside the blue range the whole time. What gives. It is warmer today than it was two days ago around 80degrees. I reset the fuel economy and the numbers rose to 58 in minutes and started falling back down hovering for awhile in the high 40's then started falling again as low as 39.9. I'm sick of this. I work hard to get better numbers but this is out of my control.

I download for free an Altimeter app, they also have an inclineometer app. Should really come as no surprise these days

Wow so close to the birthplace of our cars, very cool. I guess you will be going?
-
Sure will be a short drive for you to attend the summer event.

Strange the paint on my rear bumper and adjacent panels match the rest of the car perfectly. The one with the Ford logo? Directly above the license plate matches perfectly as well. Attached is a picture of my CMAX the day it arrived at my dealer

'interesting I was born in Houston, 100 miles south of Houston would put you in the Gulf of Mexico? Or is that south and to the west or east? Towards Louisiana? Or towards Corpus Christi?
-
Jus, question for you. I always heard it wasn't good to run an injected engine so low on fuel. Does the CMAX have injectors? I have no idea?
-
Excellent, keep them coming if everyone chimes in then we'll know how many Plantinum Whites are part of the forum. I know Jus-A-CMax is out there somewhere in his.
-
not sure JAZ, but I felt that was a decent price for what ever that is?
-
Jus where do you get all those icons, I love the one pounding the other one with what appears to be a frying pan?

why did he move over next door to the Badger State? :)

I didn't test drive at all, bought it and drove it home for the first time. I was sold by the looks, feel of the interior, spaciousness of the seating was a prime factor. But main consideration was it didn't look plastic inside and it was made in AMERICA BABY!!!!lets here for the red, white and blue automaker not Japanese bred made by automaker's in America...a.k.a Toyota

I went to Fordparts.com a researched the elusive black plastic console thing and ceemax71 is right it doesn't show the part in their exploded assembly view of the center console. However I did find this item which I think might be what I have in my hand. Here is the description of the item I found... Price: $38.47Quantity: Part Description: Charcoal Black, Rubber Cup Holder Insert Quantity Per Vehicle: 1Package Quantity: 1 May not be the item at all but 50/50 chance it is. It probably is the rubber insert in the bottom of the cupholder which your cup rests on? Here is all the info imprinted into the underside of my part...FoMoCo DJ54-S046C07 >ABS< >PP+EPDM< Up inside the the underside of the part is molded "B2" The more I research this thing the crazier it seems that Ford has made this part so hard to identify.

I'm curious who all drives a Platinum White SEL like I do. I'd like to know the locations around the country if you care to share your geographical location. I'll start off with me...I'm in the South Bay area, San Jose California. Hope to hear from other owners.

Ok I called my salesman and asked if he could give me a part number or description? He said no he couldn't because Ford does not break down on their parts list the center console into separate pieces which are part of it's assembly. Makes me wonder now what he typed on their computer to give him the lead to know which car in their inventory to pull this one I now have. Sorry I didn't watch more closely as he was typing. Wish I could be of more help. All I can say is good luck to everyone trying to get this part. I will guard mine with my life you can be sure of.

I will try to see if I can get it from my Salesman but I know it was no big deal for him to walk up to their computer and punch in some info probably to check their inventory of cars. We walked over to the new car lot and he pulled one from a gray SEL. Seems like any dealer can just check their computer inventory for CMax center console cupholder splitter, and they would find the part number. Why these are so elusive is strange to me. Also more strange is why some cars were delivered without it? Should be in every car as it leaves the assembly line, unless it is meant to be a dealer supplied option?

I used to own a GMC Syclone pickup which had 245-35 Z-rated radials on the rear axle. Those fat boys always seemed to pickup nails, screws. I'd come out and had a flat. I'd jack it up, find the offending piece of road hazard. Pull it out and using a tire plug kit I bought at a local auto parts store for less than $15. I'd ream out the hole with the T-Handle reamer supplied with the kit. Apply the cement to the hole and the tire ribbon plug. Shove it in the hole according to the included instructions. Let it dry for 15 minutes. Refill the tire, and I was back in business. Not a difficult repair, but I did have to remove the tire from the vehicle to do it.

Woohoo, Got my missing black plastic thing today from my dealer. My salesman took it from a CMax in their inventory. So somebody will be missing it when they buy that gray SEL. Sorry in advance...BTW my salesman simply looked up on their computer system for console cupholder divider then walked across the street to their huge new car lot and pulled it out. Still not sure of any part number for it.

Bought my SEL in September and I definitely do not get any of those screens. I want it?
