  1. From NorCal, welcome and spend some time reviewing the wealth of information on this forum. I have learned so much from it, much more so than reading the manual. Nothing like first hand experiences.
  2. I wouldn't worry about the roof window leaking. I've had mine since September and absolutely no problems. Even with repeated car washings. If the original factory seal is any good to begin with, it isn't going to leak.
  3. Congrats on your purchase, you won't regret it. These cars are so infectious and I find myself compelled to better myself with each passing day.

    Howdy!

Very pretty car and from my home state
  5. Sorry have no experience with this as I find the factory system to be fine for my needs.

    Fuelly

Watch it we're not the reason gas is so high, its the greedy pockets at the refineries
  7. Tailgaters, no problem I just practice my slow but gradual braking. Kills two birds with one stone, regens your batteries, improves the mpg numbers (if done right). Makes a point to them to back off. They just shoot around you in disgust and I say to myself I'll stop at the pump one time for every three they make. :)
  8. Thanks for the thoughts, certainly would bring down the cost of production. Much simpler concept.
  9. Here's the first CMax I've taken a picture of. Saw this at the offramp from Highway 17 to Camden Avenue. I'm seeing many in the valley
  10. Interesting way of putting it but you are right it is a video game and we are always trying to better our last score. Just enjoy the ride and let things take their own course. I wise person told me once...it is what it is.
  11. Different color shirts to match your car probably wont be an option unless the cost per shirt is really good. I still need to check with the company I'm proposing we use for this.
  12. I have filled out an application to Ford requesting permission to use the images on our event t-shirt
  13. Hello everyone, I was trying to decide where was the best place to start this thread? So I hope this is it? I was thinking it might be fun to have custom t-shirts made for the annual gathering this summer once it is known when it will be? We did this years ago for another national gathering in another club I used to belong to. Was allot of fun seeing everyone who attended wearing their shirt to the activities. So I know of a place to have custom t-shirts made in large quantity for a reasonable price. We use this company for special events at my church and have been impressed with their quality using Hanes Beefy-T shirts. The more orders we get the better the overall cost. So if you plan on attending this summers event? Lets start chiming in to show who's interested? I would be willing to take this job on and bring the shirts to the gathering, or they could just be mailed to each owner. I thought on the front of the shirt we could use the logo from the United Kingdom CMax Owners Club. I have contacted them to see if they would be ok with this? When I hear from them I will report back. Attached is a thumbnail of their logo for consideration. Maybe across the back of the shirt we could have some text advertising the National Gathering Event and date once it is known. Or possibly a picture of a CMax on the back. I thought it might be nice to include a picture of the wearer of the shirt's CMax, but that would be a big undertaking cost wise to do since there would be too much setup required before printing the shirt. Just kicking around some idea's to see if there is any interest to doing this? Bring it on either here or off line directly to me one on one.
  14. Amen to that Rachel as a Christian man I realize the huge sacrifice and suffering which was made for me and all those who believe in Him.
  15. WOW! very impressive, 99% and all those EV miles. Very Nice.
  16. Congrats JohnOhio, I got one like yours this week too. The elusive 47mpg/city. It can be done with the right disciplines behind the wheel.
  17. My SEL was delivered on September 20th and the build date is early September. I have had one instance where this happened but since there have been numerous system updates that is preforms automatically. It hasn't happened. My only peev is that the rear camera gets dirty and hard to see through, especially in the rain. Wish it had an auto cleaning feature like the mini cams on the Nascar teams who have on-board camera's for the TV viewers to see front the drivers perspective.
  18. Personally I have no problem with my pano roof. Since I bought a dealer orderd SEL, it was included. Had I ordered the car myself, I might not have got it. But since I have it, I have enjoyed being able to open the motorized screen and let mother nature in. The roof has glass all the way to the top edge of the windshield, but there is a black mask applied so you cant see out from the inside. The headliner runs from the edge of the windshield to just about directly over the drivers head, then the pano roof starts and continues to just above the rear seats. The glass is designed to filter out excessive sun and heat with UV protection for both the passengers and for the leather interior. I will have s better idea this summer if this will let too much heat inside. With the screen closed in summer months combined with the UV filter of the glass, I don't think it is going to be an issue. I'm on the west coast in central California so we don't see the kind of heat say in Texas. But given the right weather patterns we do get well over 100 in the summer months. Hope this helps anyone considering this option?
  19. I'm happy to report with much coaching from Jus-A-Cmax I finally saw the number 47 appear on my trip summary screen. But not before I did allot of very careful and deliberate driving and braking to realize it. Thanks again for the informative tips.
  20. I wondered if this applied to hybrids? Saw one of these locally recently in front of Chick-Fil-A in San Jose, CA.
  21. Yes! and I'm very happy about this, after all the HOV was designed for fully electric vehicles from the beginning, not hybrids or so it should have been. It was meant to be an incentive to get fueled cars off the road.
  22. Got a few cars in your stable I see? Nice! Enjoy the ride...
  23. I used to see low mpg numbers just above 40mpg. With these cars it is vitally important to brake gradually and slowly, no stomping on the brake pedal. If you do this will greatly affect your overall effectivity numbers. Setup your myview screen to show the threshold gauge on the left side of the instrumentation cluster. Also on the right side of the left display bring up the screen which gives you the Accel, Braking, Cruising categories. The idea is to always have a full blue line showing in all three groups. Meaning 100% effective range. Even the slightest amount of brake, gas pedal pressure at the wrong time will adversely affect your ratings. As far as freeway driving unless you don't care to have higher mpg numbers, never exceed 62mph because then you are running the gas engine 100% of the time. With all this work I was able to drive 10 miles today through city streets and only use .2 gallons of gas. I can live with that. Go to the pump every 9 days lately. Enjoy the ride...
