  1. If PC, try RealPlayer to rip from CD to mp3 and it will create a .m3u playlist as well. :) If Apple, what do you call a blind deer ;)
  2. There you go Rachel - start one  I got the Acronym going so how about you start the Ford Sync tips - may be in the Infotainment section? I do not like the Ford Sync section diversion, its a real mess on this website.
  3. It also compares well to my 2006 Jaguar Vanden Plas with the Alpine and that was top notch at that time. Is it me, or do I just prefer the "Driver" setting on my Sony, anyone else? Also, my "Rear" did not work, did nothing when I pressed it.
  4. So I usually do all the car washing in this house. My Jag was notorious for black brake dust on the rims to a point where I had to buy some special dust-remover spray that I would apply to all the wheels to remove the black crap - that was bad on the alloy (my wifes Jag) but not so bad on the chrome 19" wheels (my Jag which she now drives). However, I noticed that the CMax has got zero brake dust accumulating on the wheels especially in the inside rim. I mean I shove in my long rim cleaner brush and its pretty clean. What gives? Does it not use the brake at all or does Max have some ceramic pads in there? Just wondering if anyone knows anything here. I mean, I :wub2: that its way. way less work to clean the wheels and rims now.
  5. +1 AFAIK, it's 5K for the tire rotation and 10K for the oil change, should not need servicing otherwise. If anyone else knows any reason why there should be a set interval servicing, feel free to chime in.
  6. Hmmmmh....Gen and I are close, my part of the travel and the 600 mile tanks, I noted the temps have gone as high as mid 70s mid day when I went out and drop to mid 60s on the evening when I returned, that was last week. It's p*ssing rain these last 3 days, temps still fairly high in the mid 50s. I think your point with the grill was to remove them 70s and up but no doubt, your grills work much better in the colder north of the country.

That's pretty quick for an order, some people have waited for months. Congratulations and welcome to the forum :)
  8. Ha...I miss the BSODs, it was such a pretty, pretty color ;) "I'm hungry", seriously?
  9. That's crap, sorry to hear about that. If you don't mind, let us know what it cost to replace that windscreen, as I think others would be in the same boat. By the way, I wonder about the availability given the CMax is relatively new.
  10. Ha...I might have to resort to that :waiting:
  11. Thats wishing. IMO, with the current Adminstration, I very much doubt the gas prices will drop, there is no incentive for the man on top to do anything and he clearly wants the gas prices to rise, shafting those aka the 49 percenters, who voted for him in majority. Who knows, there may be free hybrids/eco cars for these people, why not, there are free phones already and the govt owns GM....jus' sayin. Debt, what debt, doesn't every household have some large mortgage debt, so why not the govt... :waiting:
  12. Ouch Adair, sorry to hear about your issues but I don't use any Jawbone bluetooth devices in order to help. I am sure someone has it and will chime in....hang in there and be cool :)
  13. No worries on that, those numbers are great in those temps. Also, its easy mate...your insurance policy is a gallon or 2 in a container in the back, you already have the lil syphon that Ford gave yer ;)
  14. If you look carefully, it looks like my shoe might be hitting the panel, the scuff marks on the side is close. Next time it falls off, I'll take it down to Galpin - not sure what they can do as the panel does not seem to be broken.
  15. I'll check it out, didn't think about the amps as its suppose to be compatible with the DroidX. I think its the batteries - if it's hot, for some reason it won't charge and it does get hot using the GPS/googlemaps. However, it will drain itself and then it will recharge after a while. Go figure, so I use it sparingly. It's a Motorola charger and it works fine all the time except in this scenario.
  16. Cool, set up the next "Take your pick" question....anything you wish...thats part of the game.
  17. The only reason for me liking my Sync NAV is the huge screen so I can see at a glance where the heck I am going or the upcoming street. However, I agree, my android google maps does just a good of a job and the only thing it does not do well is that it sucks the battery dry quick (DroidX) and hooking a recharger on it sometimes does not work - don't ask me why but it just does that. DroidX is the backup for me - but where it fails is where there is no 3G or 1x such as the hills in Malibu where I wander occassionally, hard to find an address then.
  18. Ouch! 405 / 5, right? Hey, at least you have to be glad you're in a hybrid sucking electricity and not gas and pumping away on a nice, nice Sony surround. Sometimes, I have a nice snigger at these huge 4X4 SUVs with 1 person in it dashing from stop to stop, doesn't get any sillier than that.
  19. I'm seeing it now and have been noticing how each time the finished food products are getting smaller and smaller while the price has not moved or gone up a tad. However, there are days where I do wish the gas prices were $4.50pg to get some of these morons off the roads and free up the freeways. I swear LA has the worse traffic, we invented the "freeway car park" term.
  20. Adair, same here too...it could be Aus accent as well. Let me know what they say...
  21. Ok, may be we are onto something here. I mean there is no other way to get the voice command on, right? Anyone else whos posted here - do you recall having issues with the SYNC immediately after hitting the voice command paddle?
