  1. I use to have this rattle that I thought was coming from around the front passenger seat. Pesky rattle. Turns out, I stuffed the deep center console with a mid size clorox wipes, a large mag torch and a cord to recharge my android and when those 3 are stuffed in there snug, they will start to rub against each other and the plastic inside the console at the merest bump causing the rattle or maybe the console to rattle against whatever is holding it.

Now I just keep them "loose" by rearranging what goes in there. Took a while to figure this out and the Ford technicians could not find it while driving. It took the 2 of us to figure it out.

  2. @Sparrow yeah, if the CMax was as light as the C yeah but thats pretty darn good in a C to get 102MPG. I've had the CMax on city driving in the 60MPG to 66MPG daily (go to work and come back to garage)...but the more you're use to the CMax and fine tune your understanding of the EV mode - you'll maximize your MPGs. Right now, I am doing 60% freeway and it coming in at 52MPGs, 665 miles and I'm just not even trying to maximize my MPGs at all. Pure City, I get 800 to 860 miles a tank.

My car has cracked the 900 miles. So yeah, its a great car and welcome to the forum :)

  3. "The first 2013 C-Max was listed at a combined 47 mpg, which virtually no owners or test drivers could replicate. First it was downgraded in August 2013 to 43 mpg, and then again--in June 2014, along with various other Ford models--to its current rating of 40 mpg combined."

O'rly. I did not get that memo...51.4 Lifetime 47K (think my car does 60 city 40 fwy). My tank right now is 63MPG at about 230 miles on it. Ssshhh.

  4. Not much chance of snow here on the west coast, except for up in the sierra mountains.  But with very little rain elsewhere in Cali there's very little snow even in the mountains.  Not sure what we are going to do for drinking water in the next couple years if this drought goes into a 5th straight or more years. ;)

...drink beer. Water is overrated. :baby:

  5. As a new member here I find all of this very disturbing from both sides. I don't want to be bothered with this type of activity and maybe I am way off base in my views from reading all of these posts.

It we differ that much on opinion will we all be banned for our views and difference of opinion. Kind of looks like few members had a clash and held a grudge about it. I hope I never find myself in this type of situation.  I guess it gets tempers up when your vehicle is in the shop without resolve over a long period of time.  Hope this isn't a place were we let anger from other places get the better of us.

    Cheers

Thanks for your input, your reading of this is not correct and no one is being censored/banned for opinion or view. This is not a grudge either. If anyone else has any concerns, please PM me.

Like I posted above, PLEASE take this discussion to its own thread to the LOUNGE section.

This thread is about injector failures experienced by Matt so let the conversation continue in that vein.

    Thank you.

  6. Ok guys. DD has had a long history here and he was "timed out" before and warned about his posting. Banning him was not taken lightly but enough is ENOUGH.

Now, I would appreciate if we can go back to the original poster's topic at hand so as to not trash the thread.

If people want to continue the DD discussion, please start a new discussion in the Lounge and keep it there.

    Thank you :)

  7. I agree. Everyday I drive it, I am amazed by how well the CMax performs, I am getting insane MPGs even if I drive to Mammoth and the whole trip at 95% freeway speeds, fully loaded, I still score a 45-48 MPG overall. Plus as much as MFT/Sony gets a bad rap, I think the sound, voice control and navigation is amazing....makes for a great trip. And I love plyaing with the car, full battery - GUNG HO acceleration....so much FUN :)

  8. WELLLLLLLLLL! Considering they offer multiple coverage levels, it's not a simple yes or no.

You need to READ the policy to know whats covered. Sorry if you don't like my reply, but

it's to the point and most people need sugar with the truth. I don't carry any, so you'll need

to find your own. I'm an insurance inspector for failure analysis. Some companies offer 8

different coverage levels and it's a common practice for the dealer to over charge for the base

policy that isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Feel better now?

2 injectors isn't EVERYTHING.  Dude, you need to get a grip.

Considering the FACT that, I wasn't talking to you in my reply........ Who cares how your little feelings, feel.

Get over yourself and learn to deal with the truth. Your feelings posts are useless and add nothing. PLEASE!

Thats enough, DrDiesel has been banned. He was banned prior for bad behavior, was allowed back but now hes back to his ole condescending posting ways. Adios.

Carry on, nothing to see here except a bad apple getting tossed out.

  9. Got a 2015 C-MAX SE hybrid just before the Xmas break and am now spending less than half on gasoline despite the bottom dropping out on oil prices.  Learning better braking habits really helps.

The only criticism I have is that, so far this vehicle has not been handling Canadian winters very well at all.  Just one example:  the front  windshield wipers are buried in the hood scoop and cannot be left up to prevent ice damage.

I look forward to asking questions in the other forums.

You can, check your manual to put the windscreen wipers up. I do it when my CMax hits Mammoth :)

    ...and welcome  :victory:

  10. Welcome back, and good news indeed :)

I heard and seen nothing about a redesign for the 16 model. But the 14s and 13s can be had for a deal.

Bumper to bumper, welcome to my world as well. Since gas is so cheap, every tin box with gaf tape holding it all together is OUT on the road, more accidents as well and more crazies. Whilst none of us like high gas taxes, it did make sense to cull the roads of these idiots and the gaf-tape vehicles...sorry, my 2c as I am not enjoying this traffic in the mornings & evening drive home.

  11. Hi everyone!

I wanted to come introduce myself. I'll be popping in on occasion as a forum buddy to Tricia. :)

    Meagan

    Well, welcome Meagan.

We're a quite bunch of posters, its our nature when we are not in our cMaxs hooning past the Priis, we're in a dark closet with our 13.1" 2 in 1 with the quad led screens, posting away about frozen chickens stuck in the front grill & stopping the grills covers from opening, causing a rise in the ICE temps and the subsequent failure of transmission oil boiling over inside our cabin...-the FUMES - and we're all getting HIGH... :drop:

No, I am not high while posting this. I may be in a closet though.

    Welcome ;)

  12. I wish I had a Prii instead of the CMax. I miss the plastics, the central 60s green LCD digital display, interior noise, and sponge steering, the acceleration by consensus (even miss the mail in ballot voting for acceleration), smaller tank (after all whats the point of carrying all that gas when you should carry less and drive less distance with a smaller one) and the better mpgs...

Thank goodness the Prii doesn't have the runaway acceleration (thats impossible in a Prii, there aren't enough votes for that), the fires...I can drop the ejection seat and the automatic fire extinguisher mods as well.

Oh Prii how I miss thee.....

    - wake up -

Sorry, the caffeine just hit the blood vessels. Carry on, nothing to see here.... ;)

  13. Bringing spam deflectors online just incase......

Thats uncalled for Doug. Ford Service does a lot around here. No need to throw mud at Tricia.

Welcome Davidvillafwt. You'll see lots of CMaxs around the LA region nowadays...unlike 2012 when we had as much sightings as Big Foot ;)
