  5. Goon on ya, snowstorm. Nice  Hang in there, it'll come soon. Keep reading, watching the vids and get to know about the car before you truly know her when she arrives :)
  6. ...but having a stealthy, black, drooling new wheels. Priceless. :superhero:
  7. *sigh* that would have been a great palindrome catch Adair. Sounds like a pretty good day...I am a wee buzz from some mighty fine red tonight: Whistling Eagle Shiraz 2001 from Heathcote, Vic, Aus....of course ;)
  8. What a day....an Eagle chance on the Par 5 18th today and I missed it by a foot...superb drive and a great 2nd shot, just could not putt it in at the end. Day is not over...still have a steak dinner with golfing buds when they get their a$$ over here. Golfing score, 79 today on a Par 72, 7 over is ok considering I was re-couperating from shoulder/neck injuries and not played a full course in over 5 months. Secret: teach the juniors, you never forget the basics and that was the difference today, back to basic ;)
  9. Welcome to the forum! 12. Schweeet. thankf for the pics.....that's it guys, that what makes this place special...a little bit "juice" to fire up the speed-hoon in all of us.....eventhough we are all Clark "MPG" Kents by day

  14. Avatar change for the week to celebrate Adam Scott, 2013 Masters Champion :) Sssh...I'll stop posting, time for some golf and go nail some 300+ yard drives...yeah baby - will be smoking the RBZ Tour with the x-flex Harrison Eclipse ;)
  15. lol..only a hybrid driver would think of that ;) By the way, give it a few more years and I suspect these speed records may be all electric. They're already doing Lemans with hybrids...let a Super CMax appear  World fastest convertible...you guessed it...its a Bugatti...
  16. Wow....that is simply awesome Adair, especially over those miles. It looks like you're using Trip2 as your tank tracker. Also, if u decide to continue, thats a 540 mile tank there by the time red hits ;)
  17. I like it! Not bad for a guy who once could not break the 40s....dude is now in the mids...nice work mtb  & :)
  18. Sweet - thats a nice post, thanks for sharing. The energy would have been awesome there....thanks for sharing :) Heated seats...it was a boyz trip I guess, wifey would have made me turn on the HVAC ;)
  19. Jaz - that sounds almost like my Mammoth trips, fully loaded and all. At 3,500 odo..imo, your engine is just starting to break-in and will continue to improve past 10,000. I am starting to see an leveling post 10,000 in my Mammoth stats. One thing I would suggest - take a look at this: I HAVE FOUND THE ILLUSIVE MPG SWEET SPOT thread started by the Gen. Not sure if you have seen it or not but it's a great, great tip for everyone and its easy to do. It will dance the instant MPGs between 40 and 60 and speeds > 65 mph on the flats, utilzing an almost full battery and eco-cruise - EVEN at load!!! Its the same as my manual ICE High MPG. I use both, depending on road and terrain. Ha...I wished I had the 3.5.1....*sigh*
  20. Nice! I am headed out to dinner with the wifey tonight. It's my BDay tomorrow so today (which is my actual Bday in Aus) was a great present from the Golfing Gods :) I will be playing golf tomorrow in my Masters gear and with a huge smile :yahoo:
  21. By the way - he had a Kiwi on his side - Stevie Williams. IMO, putting Stevie there and trusting Stevie made the difference with more focus and knowing how to win a major as a player. A win for Aus & NZ
  22. ptjones has and he said it was a non-event. EVed to the side and then tanked up. Started again. Read it here: I RAN OUT OF GAS TODAY - 13.86 gallons lol, i dunno.... :baby:
  23. I've done 15 or 20 below zero. One thing I have noticed in my 600 mile exploits - the estimate will change! For example, this 641 mile, I was completing my jobs in Malibu and it reported 40 miles with red. Then I started going up Topanga (uphill) and it started dropping slowly) to where it was saying 4 miles to go. When I hit the top of Topanga and glided down to Victory, I cruised to Galpin Ford with 616 miles and estimated left was 41!!!! I then headed to Burbank-Glenoaks and finally got to the Burbank Costco to report what I reported (see the 600 mile thread Post #1). So my thought on the "estimated left" is that it is based on your timed history of consumption - which explains why I had good numbers along PCH until Topanga - then burnt a bunch of fuel climbing Topanga and got really low - and then estimated going up again as I glided down Topanga Canyon and then cruising the valley. I guess "estimated" is just that. So I learnt something and my takeaway is that to keep an eye on the gallons used - that's constant and doesn't back or forward peddle....hope this makes sense... :)
  24. Wamba - thats awesome dude! Well done! For the record, its the auto media who said the 47 was not possible as they were only getting mid 30s or 37s....but as I have tried to show everyone here and the net world - it is possible and its striking that both ptjones and I hit the 600 miles at the same time - both of them reported here!!!! Yes - this fordcmaxhybridforum.com is THE PLACE for all CMax real news and development  Wamba - it will take time to understand and know how your CMax will do in the fume zone (as I call it). Going yellow is just the start and it takes a while to get used to. Pretty soon, you'll use the Trip1 and monitor the gallons used there as the "estimated to" calculator goes zero. Only ptjones has ever tanked out and he said it was a no event....my cutoff is 13.0 or 13.95 - but I am safe as I carry a spare 2 gallons in the back. So yeah, keep at it. As for special techniques - its what I do now, I don't think it's special - I have a tool and I will use the tool the best I can like any other tradesman, skillfully and with knowledge of what it can do or not do. See ya in the 600 club soon ;)
  25. :yahoo: Thank you Laurel for doing this thread...I just got back and I see this....that is very special to me....I am such a HUGE FAN of the Masters! Before all this began, I had a hunch/premonition that Adam Scott would win..don't know how or why and I told my buddy this way back on Hole #8....but the Golfing Gods made Adam earn it. By the way, I am also a huge fan of Angel - I have his signature on my Masters visor when he played at the LA Open last year - he is beyond a class act and as they say, action speaks louder than words - Angel's thumbs up to Adam on Adam's second shot into the 10th green says what a class act Angel is. This would not have happened with another famous player that was expected to win...so either of them winning would have been fine with me but Adam Scotts win is special in Australian Sports history        Yes, the Australians finally win a Green Jacket...this is like John Betrand's win of the America's Cup (which I also got up or stayed up for....) way back in the 80s. By the way, I also spoke with Jason Day when he was here in Los Angeles at a Taylormade event - he's a young guy and class act as well. My heart goes out to him when he bogeyed the 16th and 17th, thats golf. I got his signature on my Boxing Kangaroo as well and a picture of him and I. I am a golf freakazoid, :wub2: the game and I teach the juniors on Saturdays. C'mon Aussie, c'mon on, c'mon on!!!!!! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
