Another Cmax ... In My Neighborhood
JulieB replied to HannahWCU's topic in Sightings - C-MAX Hybrid's Spotted!
I saw two yesterday while I was out running errands. One passed me going the other direction on a street, and I parked near another. Nice to see more on the road. -
Now you see it, now you don't

My son's S4 stays connected. -
We're with Farmer's and did get the hybrid discount. Our insurance went up a little overall, but it went up less than we were expecting thanks to the discount. The previous car was 16 years old, so we were just pleased that the premiums didn't go up too much.

The font sizes are set in px. The site owners might want to consider something more scaleable like em or percentage.

Congratulations. Enjoy your C-Max!

With what you know, would you buy your C Max today (again)
JulieB replied to catsailor's topic in General Discussion
Yes. We didn't expect 47MPG out in the real world. Our previous car got 18MPG, so this is a big improvement. I also love the handling (except for that danged turning radius) and the roomy interior. One reason we call it TARDIS is that it does seem bigger on the inside. And that - or some varation on it - is often the first comment people make when they get into the car. They can't believe something that size has so much room inside. Of course, I'm preaching to the choir, so I'll shut up. ;-) -
How do I drive my C-Max? I put my hands on the steering wheel, and... ;-)

Unfortunately, they have no way of knowing your car wasn't damaged at another location and you're trying to scam them out of the repair bill. I used to work in retail. The cheek of some customers was astounding. One day I saw a lady just let her cart go one windy March day. I got out of the car and to the cart just in time to keep it from slamming into the side of my car. And boy, did I let her have it. I'm generally not that type, but just not too long before that the car had been hit by a runaway cart and the guy who witnessed the incident? Well, let's just say he protested a little too much that the cart wasn't his.(I was going down the aisle of the parking lot and the cart whizzed out from between two parked cars and I had nowhere to go. SLAM. And it gets windy here in North Texas.) Someone was parked in front of DSW the other day taking up FOUR spaces with their Tahoe. Must be nice to be that important.

Heh. I have a Fitbit and think the same thing. Unfortunately, those carts go everywhere. I got a ding just driving into the lot because it was windy and someone didn't put their cart away. Think I'll walk to the store today, though. It's gorgeous weather and I need to burn off my dinner early. ;-)

I'm just waiting for my first encounter with a runaway cart at the grocery store. Don't get me started on people who don't use the cart corral.

For those in the DFW area, the Irving Convention center has similar parking in their garage, in nice spaces near the elevators.

Rachel, Do you have an account on Flickr or another hosting service? You can post a pic from there. And why weren't you out driving at 7:00 in the morning? I demand to know? Sleep? Who need it when you have a new C-Max? ;-)

I'm so happy for you, Rachel. The worst part is doing the paperwork, just knowing the car is sitting there, waiting for you...

Welcome, fellow North Texan!

I suppose it depends on your circumstances.Someone who's on call for emergencies (with a volunteer Fire Department, for example) probably doesn't want to be caught low on gas. Filling up at half a tank ensures that there's enough gas in the tank to answer a call. I know people who like to fill up at the halfway point because it costs less. Yeah, yeah. I know. But think about a senior who doesn't drive much and is on a fixed income. If that's how you budget, then it makes sense. I plead guilty to filling up at half a tank under certain circumstances, but it's generally when I'm about to hit the road. I like to have a full tank when I start a trip.

I'm really happy for you, Rachel. I know you've been waiting a long time. Here's hoping for prompt shipping! :happy feet:

Yeah, that was one of the reasons we bought the C-Max. I don't get on freeways a lot, but when I do, it's in the most interesting car in the world! ;-) Seriously, freeway traffic around here is such that when you enter, you'd better be ready to step on the gas and move, lest someone fill up that nice gap you're hoping to fill yourself. If your car has so sit there and think about it after you've stepped on the gas, you've lost your spot.
