Vent phone holders can be a good choice for phones that tend to run hot. So in considering vent holders you have to look at the extremely angled vents on the C-Max. Has anybody found a vent phone holder that works well with the C-Max?

I have always thought the light colors were best. But I got the Sterling Grey SEL and it always looks clean unless I have gone through a mud puddle.

In my case the face vent was on when I turned climate control off and was still showing as on when I powered it backup. Only difference is the fan is on max. And a/c was off.

I have MyView set to show me the indicator I call mileage over time. Five bars that show the mpg over whatever time frame you have chosen. The vertical bars have horizontal white lines at 0-20-40-60. There is also a blue line with no label. Does anybody know what this blue line represents? My guess is that it represents the MyView mileage since last reset. I don't ever reset mine because my 20114 SEL has no lifetime mileage so I leave that alone.

I often drive with my climate control off. Usually when it is cooler out and I don't need moving air. So when I turn it off it is almost always in the low setting for temp and a/c off. So when I press the power button for climate control it always start in highest fan speed and I have to turn it down. Why wouldn't it, under the given circumstances, just start up in the fan speed when I turned it off?

MFT quit after scheduled maintenance

When I turn off my 2014 SEL the radio keeps playing until I open the door. Have not tested it to find out how long it would play if I stayed in the car. -

I highly recommend due diligence. I had a brother who bought a C-Max and loved it. I still went on forums and read as much as I could on the subject. I read that Sync was problematic. But since that was not the reason I bought the car I felt the good points far outweighed the bad I had read about Sync. Now 7 months and 5K miles of driving my C-Max has only made me think that Sync is not near as bad as described or I got lucky with a trouble free unit. I am older than many on here but have been involved in computer technology as in working with computers and networks for almost 30 years. Would I have designed it different? Sure. Would I modify if I could replace a board or two. Sure. But will not lose any sleep over what I bought because I practiced due diligence. -
Coasting further not only allows for more charge of the battery but often means longer periods with no gas being used, the best driving for low mileage you can have. I have not used scangauge but the harder the stop the more difficult it becomes to stay out of friction braking which shortens the life of your brakes.

My last new car was a RAV4. I could go to the dealership at 9 AM on Saturday for the regular maintenance, sit in a nice room with TV's, coffee, and doughnuts, read my book or surf on my phone and get out in 60-90 minutes. Realizing that each dealer may be different I have to ask if the service experience is similar with Ford.

No sir, you were correct. I am getting old. But using age in a discussion on the internet seems like you have nothing else much to argue in your case. I couldn't walk my two miles uphill to school until I had done my chores, drdiesel1! -

You will learn how to roll them better when called an old man on an internet forum. -

I just call them as I see them. -

I suspect the OP and others complaining know that Steve. We see the same thing on forums about cell phones. People will never buy (insert brand here) because I bought this phone only two years ago and I have to wait 30 days for the new version of Android. I want to stomp my feet and hold my breath until they change the policy! Never buy them again! -

Sigh. -
Slowing down when you are being tailgated is the safe thing to do. That way the tailgater has more of a chance to not hit you if you have to slam on the brakes. Defensive driving is giving yourself and other drivers room to make mistakes.

"A $35,000 car is a lot different' than a $1,500 TV or a $500 phone. So very true. But is it the same car you bought? How many purchases do you make that you expect the seller to improve your purchase over time? They should make good any defects but they are under no obligation to make upgrades available. If a buyer does not do due diligence on all features before they buy that is on them, not the seller. There are things about MFT and other features of the car I could suggest improvements for but it is the car I bought and still performs all functions. -

Paraphrased is the key word here. The OP did not get what he wanted so I suspect the paraphrasing was meant to put Ford in the worst light. If the question was "how can I get the new tech display?" how else could it be answered than it would be available for new purchases? -
A week in my C-max... and some questions

If you have a power liftgate you should have a button on the dashboard. Here is the manual's entry on rear unlocking of door: Opening a Rear Door from InsidePull the interior door release handle twiceto unlock and open a rear door. The firstpull unlocks the door and the second pullwill unlatch the door. -
I bought and used 3m General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner. I got it from Amazon.

From reading of these forums beginning last March (bought mine in May) most of the problems are with SE's with the standard radio. I have seen none (could have missed some) from purchasers of SEL's. I am just over 5K miles and have not had a bit of problem with anything. Loving this car. Would not expect your mileage to be what those of us in the south get. Cold weather seems to be the biggest enemy of high mileage in hybrids.

On my Thanksgiving and Christmas trips to my daughter's I drove 70-75 and got 40-42 on the highway. Was in the 30's part of the time.

I live in Pensacola and my C-Max is a sterling gray. Seen a couple like mine but have not seen a white one!

I think it much too early to say it will never be available. I do think the market would be much too small for Ford to make a profit on it. If that is true it would be a freebie to make buyers of earlier models feel better. It would take a ground swell of unhappy buyers before Ford could seriously consider it as an option. That said I don't expect unlimited upgrade paths with anything I buy. If I buy a TV and six months later a new model comes out with features I would like it does not mean I would never consider that builder again. Not saying I would not consider the upgrade but I got along well before I ever had MFT and I imagine I will get along without Sync 3. -
If you buy a C-Max get an SEL. Anecdotal evidence seems to indicate the SEL experiences few, if any, of the 12 V battery problems. I bought mine at the end of May and have not had a single issue.

My daily drive to work is about 2/3 45 mph speed limit and the rest 30-35. On that drive I get 52-60 depending on lights and jerks pulling out in front of me. My EV mileage is typically 2/3 of the total mileage. On interstate driving 65-75 my mileage is 42 mpg and my EV miles are about 1/4 of my total mileage. I use both A/C and heat sparingly as either pulls down the mileage.
