Goo Gone works for sure and you don't have to worry about using it on the painted surfaces.

No Worries! I like to think that most of the problems encountered by the 2013 owners were cleared up before we bought our cars!! We have made a lot of trips into
Orlando as well! One of my daughters recently got married at Leu Gardens and the other one just started her sophomore year at UCF.

Congrats!! Blue Candy is my favorite color on the C-Max!

This thread is intended to be for 2014 Owners Only! Please state what issues you have run into so far. I have read a lot of horror stories on this forum but they seem to be
mostly related to the 2013 Models. Also it would be interesting to know what kind of gas mileage that you are getting.
We have a 2014 Sel with the 303A package and the Pano Roof. ( Wife has to have ALL the goodies!! ) So far so good, no issues to report but only had it for two months ( 2400 miles ) We
are averaging approximately 43 mpg with a mix of city and highway driving. My Wife is the primary driver and she constantly reminds me that it is her car!!!

I'm with you! I wanted to wait and go all electric and skip the hybrids altogether but my Wife had a bad
case of new car fever!!
-
Yes, we both drive C-Max's and have big Dodge Gas hogs for backup!!

I'm a Dodge guy from way back! My first car was a 1970 Dodge Dart. I currently own a 2004 Dodge Ram Quad Cab with only 77k miles on it so it should probably last as long as I do!
My Wife doesn't want any part of it since she got her new C-max!

We are approaching two months in with ours as well. No problems so far! Wife is getting 47 to 50 mpg on her short trips into town. Overall, around 43 mpg with mixed city/hwy driving. :happy feet:

Awesome Pics!! Haven't seen scenery like that since I got back from Switzerland last year!

Not to discourage anyone from doing this, but having body side mouldings isn't a guarantee against parking lot dings. I once received the "Mother" of all door dings in a parking lot in Raleigh NC and
my car had the side moldings. This woman threw her door open and it jammed up so hard against my door that she could not pull it back off. I was only gone for a few minutes and when I returned she
was arguing with another woman in the parking lot. I was able to pry her door back away off of mine but it left a horrible scar!! At least she had insurance!!! :drop:

Just wondering if anyone considered the Chevy Volt before they made their decision? Apparently it has the best EV range of any of the plugin hybrids. I saw a video on youtube where this guy claims
he drove 9,000 miles on 14 gallons of gas!
-
So are you ready to buy yet? My Wife finally wore me down but it took a few months before I gave in! :drop:
-
I don't think I ever got better than 20 mpg out of my Truck, but I still have it and I will probably keep it till the wheels fall off! Comes in handy every time I have to help one of my daughters move!

My Wife likes being able to fill up the gas tank without having to worry about the car stalling like her Charger did! She would have prefered a sunroof that opens but I think she is over that now!

We are getting better mileage than it shows on the sticker! Guess we won't be getting a rebate!! lol

So, even a super expensive hi tech luxury car like the Tesla S still depends on the old fashioned 12v battery! :drop:
-
Yes, better carry a battery charger with your Tesla as well!

The "Ultimate" solution would be a power sunshade like we have for the Pano roof! C'mon Ford, you can do it!!

We live about 3 miles off of hwy 27 so we are able to gain access via stoplight! Traffic on 27 doesn't lighten up until you get
south of Sebring! That's one of the things I like about the C-Max. ( Power when you need it )
-
Congrats! This is our first hybrid and this site has been helpful. The only problem is, it's my Wife's car and I don't get to drive it very much!

We live close to Iron Mountain! I think that it's hilarious that hills in Florida are called mountains! Here is a list of our "mountain range"!
The “mountains” of Florida, ranked by elevation:
Sugarloaf Mountain 310+ ft
Iron Mountain 295 ft
Sandy Mountain 295 ft
Sand Mountain 272 ft

Ok, so we both live close to hwy 27 but about 70 miles apart. My Wife drove up to Orlando yesterday, but she was following my daughter who was going about 80 mph! I am sure that didn't help her average MPG!

I have had batteries that lasted anywhere from 3 years to as long as 8 years, but no matter what car you drive you will eventually have to deal with a dead battery. From my
experiences they seem to die suddenly without any warning. Justs my 2 cents!!
