When can you drive the car hard? (how to tell if warmed up)
markd replied to jackalopetx's topic in Lounge: C-MAX Hybrid
I know that, I changed my oil at 5000 miles, it was nine months after I bought it and the first time back at the dealership. I changed it at 15000 and will again at 25000. I don't really know if 10000 miles is even nesasary. -
Welcome and I hope you enjoy your ride as much as I do mine!

Ice storm, like mine.

I'm three miles from downtown Indianapolis in the heart of suburbia, lol! The interstate hurts mpg's best I can do is about 40mpg. -

I usually get up to speed and hit the cruise, I turn the heat/air con off when I can and get great mpg's around town. I spend less than twenty dollars a month for gas and that's hard to beat. -

Like I said, I wasn't comfortable going 10,000 miles or about it year without taking it in. I hope that you like your car, it's very good at what it is but performance is just OK. Maybe a Focus SVT might have been a better choice for you. -

That's not what Ford says and they built the car. -

Why would you get the oil changed so soon? I jumped the gun and changed mine at 5,000 but 1,300 miles is too soon. -
Welcome, hopefully someone will have an answer to your question.

Welcome trefor, I nicknamed mine "the spaceship".

Now that I think about it I have used it once, I forgot all about it.

You don't subscribe to sync. You have a 2014 sel correct? Does it have navigation? The only thing I subscribe to is SiriusXM. I have a 2014 sel with the 303a package.

Same here, I checked it out this morning.

I don't have an Energi but I spend $175 a month for electricity and $20 a month for gas. I didn't think it was worthwhile.

I bought mine with 21 miles on it in Blair Nebraska and drove 85 mph all the way back to Indianapolis. You don't have to take it easy on it. -
I use BT in the bathroom and the patio, love them.

Don't go Frank, I appreciate all that you do.

I have had my car for seventeen months and have spent a grant total of $378 dollars for gas.

This happens to me at "sparkling image", I have to leave the fob in the car.

I haven't encountered that but I always leave my car on. When I go to the full service car wash so they can turn it on to drive it out.

That is what kills it for me and the fact that my car isn't really broken in yet, 16,000 miles. By 2019 I'll be looking and would love it. I've driven an Escape and didn't like having to step up to get in it.

No, a Transit Connect Titanium seven passenger mini van. It was like a slightly bigger C-max, just a little larger than a Mazda5.

I drove one yesterday and it was nice and really not that pricy. Loaded is about 33,000, take off for the z plan and it's 27.
