Even in the summer I have found that short trips aren't conducive to good fuel economy. The winter hurts the mpgs, last year I got down to 32.2 mpg lifetime, now I'm at 41.2, just like in baseball it's all about averages.The way things went last summer I expect 45 mpg by next fall.

By "public offers" I'm guessing that means no z code.

If the ice has to run to heat the battery wouldn't it make more sense to heat the battery?

If the hill isn't that big and you don't have anyone behind you you can slow down and use more battery. After a year I find that I can do better than the eco cruse most of the time. In the mornings the ice is going to run so I run the heat, once the car is warmed up I turn it off, it usually only takes a few miles. I hope you have as much fun learning you car as I have with mine.

I bought my C max from Woodhouse Ford in Blair Nebraska, this has nothing to do with the question but I thought you might want to know.

I bought my 2014 sel with hail damage and the dealer shaved ten grand off the price, even with a few dents it's the best made new car I've ever owned. Nobody can make you buy something you don't want.

My old Focus ztw with the blaupunkt and sub sounds ten time better than this Sony.

It looks like only a $1500 dollar rebate. With incentives and using the z code we only paid $15,000 for a new cmax with the 303a pkg. With trade in.

Have you thought about buying "new"? I don't know what they're running on 2015s but last year I got a heck of a deal with the rebate and zero percent financing.

I see a lot of Mazda5 in the Grand C-Max.

What can I say other than I still love it. It has been flawless for 13,500 miles and my average mpg is 41! I have never had a car that didn't at least have one problem the first year! I think that I will take it to the carwash to celebrate!

I have the Sony with the 303a pkg and it works and sounds pretty good except it could use a sub.

It's covered unless it has a salvage title, and for that price I suspect that it does.

Just from a "sound" standpoint the factory Blauhpunkt in my 2004 focus ztw blows the cmax away.

I can buy a new one for about $80 dollars and have it painted. They're heated with the signal, It might wind up being her Christmas present.
