  1. It will mostly come with practice. It takes some time to get used to the regenerative braking. I don't believe there's a way to change the brake setting itself. Using the brake coach, and trying to get 100% every time helped me a lot with getting used to the jerkiness.
  2. Hi everyone, so went to the dealer for a shaking coming from the rear at higher speeds. Looks like the tires have worn out in the rear. Again. This is the second time in five months and only 4,000 miles. They're going to be pulling some strings and trying to get it pinned down. They aren't really sure what the issue is, but I'm not going to pay for another set of tires, when those tires were perfectly fine back in November. All-new set from when I bought the car in June :( Was talking to the salesman while I was in there and mentioned that I loved the C-max. He said every single person who came in there with one said the exact same thing. That it's the best car they've ever owned. I'd agree with them if it wasn't for the darn tires :(
  3. I would definitely follow-up with what SnowStorm said. It seems to be a common problem on the C-Max for the issue to be within the latch. Mine does it as well. But when I checked in the suspension/rear area, it definitely seemed to be coming from within the hatch itself.
  4. How fast do you drive on the highway? I get a little impatient and only averaged like 37/38 MPG on a recent six hour trip. It was raining, and I was using E15. But I was still kind of disappointed.
  5. Woke up on Tuesday to a dead battery in the car. Still on the original for my 2013 with 71,600 miles. I put my booster pack on it and worked just fine since. I had problems with Sync the day before where it would not play audio or anything, so I think that drained the battery. Otherwise it seems to be working okay.
  6. Bitterly cold here in Ohio. Temps ranging between 0-25 for the past few weeks. MPG is averaging between 30-50. Very difficult for it to get warm enough to turn off. And even inside my garage, it'll start the engine instead of the silent start.
  7. Okay, I'll have them look that over again. Most of the front suspension is newer; it was replaced after a clunking was heard when I was turning. I was reading what everyone else was saying about a noise when you're driving, in any gear. I'm not sure I can hear anything like that so I should be good to go.
  8. Was it in the ready to drive? I've done that a few times without realizing that it didn't actually register that my foot was on the brake.
  9. When you're shifting between R and D, there's a clunk and jerking movement. Plus, when you get off the brake and press the accelerator and don't come to a stop, it does a similar jerking movement. No, no incline. I keep it in the garage with the parking brake on.
  10. Hi everyone! I'm starting to have some concerns with my transmission. Dealership brushed me off, but when you're shifting between gears you can hear a clunk and a harsh movement. At least if you're inside of a quiet area. What are some other symptoms that I should be watching for with the transmission in case of an upcoming failure? I'd like to get it replaced if it is going to break.
  11. That's where I've been looking and couldn't find it either.
  12. Hi everyone! I found that the 2014 model year and newer Ford C-Max has a rear spoiler thing on the sides of the liftgate. Is there a way to get this for the 2013?
  13. Mostly working on the grill blocks/fog lamp covers. Once I have some more energy I'll probably put more effort into it. Just having spent $400 on new tires, saving money on gas isn't a priority at the moment lol.
  14. Filled up after getting back from visiting family for Thanksgiving. Only averaged 41.9 MPG :( To the car's credit, it has been very cold this week. Sometimes I wish I had the money for the plug-in. Almost all of my drives are well within the electric-only range.
  15. I put the pipe insulation on today. My bottom grill is broken and needs replaced at some point, so it is multiple pieces. The middle grill, I used one piece of insulation and cut slits along the foam as I went to "attach" it to the grill and to go around the slits. I think it came out pretty well!
  16. I do that all the time as I have to go down a big hill near my house. I let the battery charge up a bit and then use that power to get up the hill as the engine warms up.
  17. Thanks Snowstorm; I do normally switch back and forth between Empower and then scrolling to the MtE. It showed around 70 Miles to Empty. I decided to fill up since it has been getting much colder and I didn't want to make the fuel pump work much harder. On my Focus, I got to around 12 Miles to Empty once before I filled up. It still only took 11.7 gallons. I was surprised. Unfortunately I don't have a GPS to check how inaccurate the Odometer is :(
  18. Well, I've finally broken 600 miles ! :) Filled him up this morning since the little gas thing turned yellow. 606.9 Miles 375.3 EV Miles EV Mode %: 61.8 % MPG Indicated: 53.0 49.2 MPG Actual Gallons Indicated: 11.44 Gallons Actual: 12.336 Offset: 7.2 % Used two-click method for fill-up

    SEL Switch

What are the numbers on the switch? Also is that a rear fog light button I see?!
  20. I'll have to look! It could just be some clogged drains causing it.
  21. Not used the Michelins. I'd take Firestones over Goodyear... and that's coming from someone who lives like 10 miles from Goodyear. They're quieter and have more traction.
