I did not have the alignment checked. Maybe a rotate and alignment would have helped. I did rotate the tires every oil change, so they were well rotated. New tires are still very quiet so I'm glad I made the change. Considering the thread depth was 3/32, they were due to be changed.

I only had this issue happen once. Every week, that would drive me nuts.

I've had the steering assist (red) light come on with the car very hard to steer. Turning it off and back on fixed it both times. Afraid that the rack may be going out. Any updates on these issues? Will Ford cover it under a recall? Thanks for the info!

My Cmax has had the red power assist light come on twice. Both times I have been able to reset by turning off the ignition and turning it back on. I'm afraid the rack is about to go out and cost $1800 to replace. Any updates on this? Anyone have Ford cover a 2013 Cmax under warranty? Thanks for the info!

Not headlights, but I did swap the fog lights to LEDs, also size H11. They work fantastic, so much brighter than before. Super quick and easy as well.

Raising this thread. Did this today, pulled fuse 79 with a pair of needle nose and put it back in. Everything is working great again. Thanks!

Had new tires put on at 50k miles. Rear "stock" tires were definitely roaring before they were changed and got worse every day. Replaced at 3/32 so it was time. New Michelin Premier A/S are much quieter, almost silent, and have gotten about the same gas mileage. Try rotating the tires and see if that helps. Could also be a bearing but 15K miles seems low for a bad bearing. A tire could get a chunk in though, and the rear seems to transmit road noise into the cabin much more "efficiently". LOL

Just replaced mine this month. Was dropping to about 11.7 volts after two days of non-use. Bought it Feb 2013, so after almost 6 years, was probably time for a new one. I will say in 2014 I let the battery die. Dead as a doornail. I think I got out of it but left it "on" because the next day it was dead as hell. It was so dead I couldn't even charge it through the "under the hood" terminals. It kept trying to start up all systems while I was trying it, since the car was still in the "on" mode. Still too dead to unlock the back hatch, so I had to crawl through the car and unhook the battery terminals and then charge the battery. I figured after that drain the battery would be useless but managed to run it for another 5 years. I do put it on trickle charge when out of town for more than a few days so I'm sure that helped. But to answer the question, 6 years.

That is true, wab, what each metal is present, how much, what it means and what part is wearing. Good info. Well, just did my second oil change and first tire rotation yesterday. Oil change light came on at 10,250 miles. Checking the history, the car has about 50% EV, 50% ICE operation, so the oil had about 5000 miles on it since I changed it out at 600 miles. Come to find out, that "green" oil I had from the factory was a UV dye they put in some cars to check for leaks. Would also explain why the car had water splash marks under the engine, they put the dye in and test drove on wet/salty surface and brought it back and checked for leaks. Too bad they didn't clean the engine off prior to putting the splash shield on and sending her off to the dealership. Oil still had small pieces of metal, hard to see but could definitely see some "glitter" in the bottom of the oil drain pan once all the oil was poured out. Used Mobil 1 5W20 and a Mobile M1-102 Extended Performance oil filter. Reset the light was easy, hit start button without holding brake, then hold brake and accelerator down for 30 secs, turn car off.

This ^ And for those that say engine oil has no metal particles, that is not true. Send your oil off to Blackstone labs and they will tell you that every oil sample has some metal particles in it, though they may be too small to see with the naked eye.

After three hours of failing to load the program for 13B07, they offered rental. -
Car and wife sat at the dealership all day today trying to get 13B07 to download. It wouldn't, still won't. Car is still there, hopefully we will get it back tomorrow. Make sure you print out this before taking it in, this may save you a few days and /or another trip. Installed 3.62 this morning and updated my Ford Sync account online, now it shows that I have the latest update available. Overall, took about an hour to do everything, had to update my Java on my PC, so that added some time. One note said it would wipe out all of my programmed nav locations, but it did not do that, which is good. So far no problems.

Replaced the license, cargo, and puddle. No after glow or bulb out indications, just cool, vibrant light.
