  1. Wow! Coming from a Jeep, you'd be one to know about handling in the snow. For you to have such high praise for the C-MAX in such adverse conditions carries a lot of weight. Great to hear. What a great car! :love_shower:
  2. Another day of conditions that allowed a good test run without the air conditioner. 68.7 MPG over an almost 40 mile run. I know that these are real numbers, because I got pretty much the same on the leg out as I did on the leg back, so no hills assisting or anything like that. This shot is from the return trip. I've had some good 50+ trips, but never over such a distance. The longer I drive, the more that the numbers go up.

  4. We should not have to work so hard. :detective:
  5. Any chance of updating the list? Still not listed.
  6. Now, why didn't Ford do something like this instead of that dorky commercial that they made? Nice job!
  7. 12.5, per the pump vs. 12.3 on the gauge. I think I could have maybe done 750 by going all the way to dry, but I'd rather make the attempt when I haven't used any air conditioning on the tank.
  8. I ran a Vehicle Health Report, and all came out normal. The only thing was something about scheduled service not being available. Everything seems to be okay.
  9. I am using IE11. Don't get me wrong, but that tutorial for photos pretty much goes back to creating albums, or it shows the basic photo upload method. I was able to load photos without a problem, for about six months or more. Then I started getting messages about reaching the maximum file size limit, when I have been using the same camera phone all along. So, methinks the problem is on the end of the site.
  10. That's the kind of market I would expect the C-MAX to target. It appeals to the techie nature of flying. Hey, I always tell everyone that my C-MAX is a computer on wheels.
  11. I do mostly city driving, and I have seen no more than about two-tenths difference between when the pump clicks off and what the screen says I used. I just figured that it was so close due to me almost always going to Costco, where I think they maintain their pumps well.
  12. Maybe on the downside of Mount Everest I could do it. :skateboard:
  13. I just tried again, including making sure to clear my history.
  14. I am not seeing ICE run in any way out of the ordinary in the area just before an EV+ zone.
  15. I cleared out the cache, and I re-logged in. I am still having the same problem. Also, and I really hate this one, I CAN'T POST PICS WITHOUT PUTTING THEM IN MY GALLERY FIRST, AND THEN ADDING AS MEDIA. PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM. IT HAS BEEN ONGOING! :swear: :rant2:  These little annoyances are really starting to add up. Please get some real fixes, not just work arounds, going on these issues. Rant over.
  16. I finished up the tank, which revises my 500+ tank to 56.9 MPG. It could have been even better without using the air conditioner, which I still had to use for about 25 percent of the time. Things should get better as full winter conditions set in for South Florida.
  17. The weather has started to cool down, so I can try running some tanks without the air conditioner. It surely makes a big difference. Final Numbers: 700.4 Miles56.9 MPG12.30 Gallons This tank was with about 25 percent (more than the first quarter of a tank, per the gauge) with air conditioner use. So, I could have done even better. Let's see what happens when full winter conditions (the Miami version) set in.
  18. Having the same problem. I hate clearing out the cache, but I will resort to it, I suppose.
  19. Good to know about losing EV+ locations. When I recently brought my C-MAX in for service at a dealer that was disappointing, the next time I passed that dealership, I saw that EV+ was activated. (I guess that they have a way to add locations during service, because I never go by that area, and that was the first time I had ever been there.) That is one location that I surely want to lose!
  20. No idea on any limit of how close EV+ locations can be from one another.
  21. Nice! That was already taken when I checked in Florida.
  22. I sure hope so. Yes, I was surely stressed and rushed. I am likely going to have to go back to the tile place today, again :swear:. So, we'll see how it goes.
  23. I am in the middle of a forced renovation in my condominium. I am frantically running around, because of things like finding out, at the last minute, that the tile I ordered and was told arrived got sold to another customer. Ah, the pleasures of construction! Anyway, I am in the middle of driving back and forth between the tile store and the warehouse, more than once in a day. I leave the tile store, jump in my awaiting C-MAX, push the start button, when . . . THE YELLOW WRENCH OF DEATH APPEARS ON MY SCREEN, and another box pops up saying to check the manual!!!! :kookie: Everything else was working without issue (radio, windows, etc.). Uh-oh, I never had that happen before! I spent the next minute (which seemed like five) trying again, turning things off, and the like. Suddenly, a normal start up, and I was on my way. I noticed that when the screen fired up at the time of the attempted start, the SOC was zero. There wasn't even one line above the bottom of the battery. This could just be a result of the YWOD coming up, as when I was able to start up moments later, the SOC was back to where it should have been. The only other thing I can report about the history of the incident is that, driving to the tile store, I drove down the last street and parked on electric power, no ICE, and had the SOC showing just about the lowest SOC before ICE would kick in. I was in the tile store probably an hour, and ICE was probably cooled down or nearly so, when I got in an attempted to start up. I had driven probably 20 miles or just under, when traveling to the tile place. After the momentary issue, I drove back home without incident. I haven't been out since then. Other than the single moment that this happened, I have not had a single reliability incident in over 6,000 miles. Let the guessing begin . . . . EDIT: I will run a Vehicle Health Report when I next go for a drive. So, other than the computer picking up something that is out of order, I have no idea if this is the kind of thing that warrants a dealer visit.
  24. When I drove to the mountains of the western part of North Carolina, I certainly used it. Really cool feature! The downhill runs were long enough to top off the battery, which engaged the ICE in fuel cutoff mode. You will definitely feel it on steep enough downhill grades. Yes, it makes better sense to turn it off where not needed, because you could be killing some glide that you could be using to keep up to speed.
