  1. HannahWCU deserves extra credit, considering the altitude and mountain driving. :drop:
  2. I am at just over 6,000 miles. I have had only one issue: I had to get a part replaced that deals with the interior cover for the panoramic roof (cover would close and then bounce back to partially opened). Otherwise, no issues whatsoever.
  3. Nick, check out the CanvasBack cover. Works great, covers everything (including the back of the back seats), and allows you to slide things for loading and unloading the cargo area.
  4. I am going to put off any decision about this until the 2014 model arrives. I'll see what Ford has done, and then I'll see if the Gas Pods will fit the bill. If not, I'll see about some other aftermarket kit to up the FE.
  5. Just to check it out, I intentionally opened my door while moving. It did chime, but only once, and the warning about a door being ajar showed on the panel. Is the chime supposed to only chime once?
  6. I wish that they would update the software for the rear wiper, so that it will allow auto wiper all the time, not just while backing up. Seems like a pretty dumb way to program the module.
  7. I took delivery end of May. I don't see anything. Maybe there is a date that is a cutoff, and this is another update that only applies to earlier versions. :headscratch:
  8. Again, I have probably only used it about a half a dozen times. However, in the times that I have used it, it has been easy. It's close, but I have never worried that I didn't have enough room to get out. Remember, it is not like you have to go back and forth 20 times to get into the parking space. It is just a back in, and then pulling forward a bit to straighten out. So, to pull out, you just go back a bit, turn the wheel and go. You don't need to go back and forth to get out.
  9. I don't really get to use the feature that often. However, when I do, it has been either perfect (both wheels perfectly parallel to the curb, about two to three inches away), or nearly so (a slight difference between front and back wheel distance from the curb).
  10. What were you getting on the highway before versus now?
  11. It doesn't sound like this is going to happen. I can't remember the thread, but someone posted that finally got a response on this. I think it was on the Twitter with Ford thread. Basically, the answer was that it would not be possible to do retrofits for whatever changes they make for the 2014 model. I don't know if this answer was only addressing things like the anticipated rear spoiler change or if it means everything and anything.
  12. I am the same as Jus, but I have a different Android phone.
  13. Not sure what you mean by "legal resolution," or if you are in a buy-back situation, but the few times NAV did that for me, it was the same way. It is probably a mistake in something to do with the map, not a problem with something in the C-MAX. I guess that the solution is to wait for the next map update. In my case, it was in only about two places on a trip of over 2,000 miles. Not a big deal, but perfection would be better.
  14. I live in a highrise. So, I can't do much. I have pretty much everything on CFL's or fluorescents. When I had a ballast recently go bad in a ceiling fan, I changed that one to LED.
  15. It's still too soon to tell, but my first city trips look promising. Yesterday, I finally had the chance to drive the regular driving route that has produced most of my testing numbers. Before the update, I was averaging about 48 or so for this route. Yesterday, I got about 55 MPG. I think that the best I have ever done in this segment was perhaps 53. Again, this is just one run. So, I can't say that this is certain proof. Crossing my fingers that this is for real. :worship:
  16. Although I already had a heavy inside cleaning done after coming back from North Carolina, I only did a bunch of washings to the exterior during the trip, and one more washing when I got back to Miami. Yesterday, I finally had the chance to take care of the exterior, with a nice clay treatment, polish, sealant, and carnauba wax. (Well, when I say "I," that means that I sat and waited in the lounge at the carwash.) My C-MAX looks like new.

  18. That's where I keep mine, too. However, I just have regular old black, not as cool as your matching umbrellas.
  19. I have lost many tenths of a mile in FE with trying to connect with other C-MAX drivers I see on the road. At home, all but perhaps two are rentals. Sometime back, I posted about walking up to one as I was walking the dog. It was hard to sit there talk to the drivers, who left the engine running the entire time, and had the air conditioner set to LO. The next C-MAX I didn't post about, but I burnt a lot of gas to catch up to them. That also turned out to be tourists in a rental. I've seen some in the distance. I have no idea about those. When I was in NC, I finally gave up on trying to catch up to one that was obviously not concerned with fuel economy. I passed another one head-on, and all I could do was wave. So far, it doesn't seem like any of them that I see have drivers that are doing anything about trying to get decent numbers.
  20. I didn't see your C-MAX in any trailhead parking areas.
  21. Is it possible that the previous battery drain did some permanent damage, which let the battery work again from then until now, but caused this premature failure. Maybe that's why it was so hard to re-start with a jump, this time?
  22. I didn't do enough highway driving before 13B07, but my initial city driving since the update seems to be improved. With faster warm up, really short trips from a cold start are still not great. However, I see at least some improvement. With a faster warm up, which I definitely notice, you can do more EV driving than before the update. Short trips used to seem worse, with more ICE than has been the case since the update. For longer city trips (at least eight miles), I seem to be getting well above 50, maybe averaging 53 or better (seems easier to hit 55 MPG than before), on many trips. Before, I could hit these numbers, but I was averaging just below 50, like 49.9 MPG. This is based off of very preliminary driving. I just refilled. Once I run this full tank, I can say whether it is for real or not.
