Try listening to any of the news/talk stations. Sounds terrible. I had cars with Sirius in the past, and it sounded great, including the talk stations. However, this is far from acceptable, especially if the user is paying a fee for the service.

I am so sorry for not having a chance to respond before. I was cooking all the way up to 6:30 AM on the day of departure. I am in Maggie Valley. Still waiting on mine. I was told that I should expect arrival in eight weeks, which would have meant having my plate before leaving for my big trip to NC, but they didn't arrive before my departure. I hope that they are there when I arrive back home. MPG MAX

Your SOC will start at different levels, giving you either a starting advantage or disadvantage. That could be the difference. Then, there are the other factors you mention, such as how the traffic varied, and how you hit or missed the traffic lights.

Good question. Try saying nearby, and then giving the rest of the info. If it works, you have your answer.

I am a technical scuba instructor, specializing in Closed Circuit Rebreathers--an underwater breathing device that is similar to what astronauts use to breathe while doing space walks. Here is a video of a place that I dived (dived is the past tense for dive, not dove--which is a bird!) where, at the time, I was either person number 7 or 8 in all of human existence to see that location. More people have walked on the moon than had been there. Pretty cool stuff! I am the guy with the fins that have "HP" initials on them. If you watch to the end, you will see where we came upon a 3,000 year old cayman (a creature that looks like a smaller alligator) skull and vertebral bodies. The cave is one of my favorite places on the planet.

That's why I did it. My phone provides better integration with my contact addresses and the like, but the big screen and full functionality of the C-MAX got me to go for it. It works well, but it still is behind the state of current smartphone technology. Yes, if I were to be in a position to decide again, I would still get NAV.

I used to love Sirius. I just think that their day has come and gone. I am not going to renew after the free period is over, or I will only do the small subscription for the few things I would like to have as an option for long distance solo travel, just to keep from going crazy when driving for such long distances (some of the talk stuff).

I have been driving the mountains since arriving in western North Carolina for the past four days. Surprisingly, I find it to be very easy. There aren't many choices about where to go EV. When you are going uphill, it is too steep to do any kind of realistic EV driving. When you go downhill, EV is a no brainer. Where land is flatter, you have to decide and plan for when you go ICE or EV. That has been harder to learn, especially at highway speeds (given my limited highway driving experience).

I had my update done by Al Packer Ford. Two days later, I drove from Miami to the mountains of western North Carolina. Everything has been working properly. I won't really be able to say about FE until I get home to Miami, where I can drive my regular routes to compare FE to how it was before the update. So far, so good .

I have not had a single instance where the kick didn't work since getting the update.

That's what I am finding. It all depends on traffic and conditions.
