Thanks for the reminder salsaguy. Done. Now I'm off to play with my CMax in the rain! That should wash off the 1/2 inch layer of dust that accumulated on the car from the very first trip down our dirt road yesterday!

Build Date 6/17 Arrived at dealer 6/28 Waiting on window tint to pick up on 7/1/2013!!!!!!!

It's HERE!!!!! Dealer called on my way home today to tell me it arrived this afternoon. They're going to do the window tint Monday, so I won't pick it up until then, but I pass the dealership on my way home so I stopped in and got to visit with my new car! :yahoo:

Last I heard, scheduled delivery was "week of July 1". I sent an e-mail to my dealer this morning with the subject line of "stalker, checking in!" My hope is I will be driving my CMax on Monday. However, in order to keep my sanity, I'm telling myself next Saturday....if it is ready earlier, it will be a pleasant surprise!

I love the stories too. I'd really love to be able to share stories of driving around Texas in my CMax......if only it was here. I'm looking forward to taking my CMax all over Texas.

Update: My car was built on June 17th and it has left the plant. Scheduled delivery July 1!!!! I think I feel the flu coming on....cough cough....sorry boss, I might be out of work for a few days that week!!

I have to stalk my dealer to get information. Mine was built 3 days ago.....last update was that the delivery should be the week of July 1.

Since I ordered my car in late April, I've thought "maybe that's one", but haven't been close enough to confirm until I saw the one when I passed Starbuck's drive thru yesterday. This morning I was passed by a white one on I10 E near the Camp Bullis Road exit. 2 in 2 days!

Saw a silver CMax in the Starbucks drive-thru at 12:45PM today. At The Rim in San Antonio.

Congrats. You ordered yours a few days after I did and mine is scheduled to be built on Monday 6/17. Counting the days....especially since I sold my car a few days ago so I'd chugging around in the farm jeep until my CMax comes in!!

Great ideas...thanks everyone! My window sticker showed up online this morning (finally!!) so I'm doing another happy dance at work. And I sold my other car last night so I'm driving the farm jeep until the new car gets here.

My C Max is tentatively scheduled to be delivered the same week as my birthday. I think that's a fabulous present, but my husband insists I actually need presents to open. As I never can come up with anything that I want for birthdays, I was thinking this year could be the C Max themed birthday. So all you Cmaxers out there.....what will I want for my new C Max? Weather tech mats? Spare tire? Tire repair kit? Yeah, I know....I'm not normal. One year he bought me a trap barrel for my shotgun which was the best present EVER.

Update from dealer this morning. Scheduled for delivery the week of July 1. I feel a happy dance coming on! :happy feet: I wonder why the people at work are looking at me like I've lost my mind?

We've gotten billed that way before on TX130. But we read somewhere recently they're going to change the pricing structure to... um... "highly encourage" people to purchase the EZ Pass. Your dealer may be scratching their head over an EZ Pass bill they can't indentify! But that's okay, it should offset that "Gasoline Fee" they charged you when you purchased the vehicle.

Hi Metroman, congrats on your purchase. My husband has had both hips replaced and has a lot of issues with small cars. When I was looking for a replacement car I would narrow my search to a few and then bring him in to see if he could get in and out of them comfortably, and if he was able to ride on a test drive for more than a few minutes. He did great in the CMax on our test drives. He can even get in and out of the back seat, though not as comfortably as the front. Mine is on order now!

Late chiming in here, but have a story to relate. I have no issue with people who park out in the boonies and take up two spaces to ensure their doors don't get dinged, as long as there is sufficient parking, I think that's fine. However, a few years ago my husband was eating his lunch in his truck in a grocery store parking lot and witnessed a kid pull up in a shiny new black flashy sporty thing. The kid parked diagonally at the front of the store, blocking not just 2 spaces, but 2 handicapped spaces, then he sprinted into the store (no handicaped plackard displayed). A few minutes later an elderly woman pushed her cart out of the store and eyeballed the flashy car across 2 handicaped spaces. She loaded her groceries in her car, which was legally parked in a single handicapped space, then she pulled a sleeve of saltine crackers out of one of her bags. She crushed the crackers and proceeded to drop the crumbs in a circle all around the flashy car. She never touched the car but she was smiling a lot as she left. In minutes, the entire car was surrounded by and covered in grackles, and they proceeded to cover this car in bird poop. Karma. hehehe.

Congratulations! Happy your dealer found one willing to trade. Mine struck out in the trade wars and I had to order.

Congrats! I ordered mine April 30. Now being told to expect delivery the first week in July. Post your impressions of your first few days of driving!

Update: Talked with my dealer this morning. Still can't get to my window sticker, but my CMax is scheduled for a build date of 6/17. Estimated delivery 15-21 days after that.

Dang fotomoto....you been spying on my gardening attempts? Sad to say we actually had to BUY dirt in order to put in a veggie garden. :sad: On the plus side, the dirt we bought grows a fine weed crop each year!

Hey fotomoto.....you're in South Texas. Dontcha want to take a detour with that load and come do some gardening at my place? I seem to have lost control of the weeds in the veggie garden already!

Alas, it was not me. If I had the $1M prize, maybe I could find a dealer anywhere in the country who has the CMax I ordered, fly there, buy it and drive it home instead of waiting....and waiting....and waiting..... Thanks for thinking of me wab! Shelly

There's a restaurant near me that is located across the road from a river, where the ducks cross all day every day. The restaurant is called "The Dodging Duck".

I live on a dirt road, so while I wash my vehicles frequently, I always resemble the character Pig Pen from the Peanuts cartoon within 24 hours of a wash. However my experience has been that the road dirt is far less noticeable on a white car than any other color. Not to mention the issue of hard water here in Texas which leaves white water spots everywhere unless you squeegee the water off within about 12 seconds of getting the car wet. White car...white water spots....much easier! Can't wait for mine to arrive!

Ah ScubaDad. That's terrible. I was hoping for sooner rather than later for you. And for me too. Readjusting my personal expectations to 10 weeks just to avoid disappointment!
