  1. I do not know what to think... Now I can average only 36MPG. If I want to drive with moderate acceleration - then I get 33-34 MPG. Tomorrow I am taking the thing to the dealership. I am fed up with the car.
  2. If you listen to the Pandora via Bluetooth and then you switch to let us say - TuneIn Radio - the MFT shows the last played Pandora's song.
  3. Their TDCi's are ok. Combined with hybrid thing it would be an awesome power-plant. But... would the Americans be willing to spend their money on such expensive combination*? It makes sense in Europe. It would do so here in the States. *AFAIK the PSA (Peugeot/Citroen) makes good-diesel hybrid cars. And Ford EU has been using the PSA TDCi's (HDi's in PSA's) so maybe there can be a successful combination applicable to C-Max.
  4. Is there a way all the windows will go up? I opened them for purpose (it was hot outside) then all of a sudden had to go back to the office and could not close them remotely. Is there a "secret" sequence for this?
  5. 38.1 - up from 38.0 - 3800 miles on the clock. Today I drove to DE. I even saw a silver SE in Smyrna, DE. Was on the ferry (Cape May, NJ -> Lewes, DE). Today I avg'd 40.0 MPG. I do not like it at all. I was using ECO cruise on the flats in DE (Coastal Hwy SR-1) - @ ~60mph - the "needle" was stuck at 40.0 MPG. I was speeding on I-95 on my way back home - maybe for 4-5 mins. Nothing illegal - around 75mph since I wanted to keep up with the pack. Then I saw an AVG decline to 39.5... In the garage @home I looked again - it was 40.0... On my way down the shore I had a call from the regional service manager. She said Ford came up with A NUMBER of updates for my car. I have scheduled an appt for 9/12. I am looking forward to seeing 45-47 MPG.
  6. Two questions I have got: Is the 13B07 thing REVERSIBLE? Can you go back to the original version? Is it true that on a pre-February-2013-built CMax you have to do both 13B07 and an MFT update (like from 3.1.3 to 3.6.2)? Are they OVERLAPPING each other?
  7. @HotPotato Well, I will see after 2-3 more tanks of gas. I suspect it won't be as nice as it used to be.
  8. A BIG X FROM ME... This 13B07 thing is a disaster IMVHO. Now I get 37 MPG when driving more gently. The car has "no power", is terribly vulnerable to hill-climbing-deceleration, is much louder now, cannot really enjoy it as much as I did before the update. I did not want the 13B07 thing. But the guys @ the dealership told me that the MFT fix was overlapped by 13B07 do they had to do it together. Now the GPS is still not working and I drive a cr...y car that has become very much Prius-like: "no-g...ts-appliance on 4 wheels". Yes - I am really disappointed with the 13B07 voluntary update. I asked them if it was reversible and they said "no". One Last Thing: The A/C got messed up now. It was around 88F today in eastern PA (Bucks County) and although I turned the knobs down to LO - I was getting a nice sizzling heat. Before - I had to set it @73 to feel comfortable enough at the outside temp. @95-100. Or maybe I am getting old and am getting the manly-hot-flashes.
  9. Just wanted to post a note that yesterday they upgraded my Cmax to 3.6.2 - and boy - what a difference! The only thing is that I still see myself driving thru backyards, thru lakes and rivers... If they fix the gps somehow the car will be just awesome. Except for the change in PCM which is so annoying.
  10. Yesterday they 13B07'ed my C-max. First observations: - now it is like a different car - less peppiness, less torque, more ICE buzzing/whining while accelerating - I was able to drive in EV mode @75mph which is something I like a lot although it is illegal in NJ yet very common especially on the Interstates. - fuel economy: now it is around 43 mpg, before it was around 35 mpg - they said they HAD to perform the 13B07 thing in order to do the succesful 3.1.3 -> 3.5.1 update So IMVHO - the update is a partial success at a cost of fun-to-drive factor
  11. Last Saturday. Long Branch, NJ. I parked my Ingot Silver SEL right behind a Ingot Silver SE. :)
  12. Galaxy Note II. Reading messages, downloading PhoneBook, calling, streaming. No Caller ID at times.
  13. A week ago on the I-95 I saw two C-Max'es. One silver SE and another SE in Ruby. Then, in Nanuet, NY I saw a black SEL.
  14. Cannot express my frustration. The dealership service has been struggling for 3 hrs now. They cannot fix the problem easy way so they are trying other solutions... The guys at Chevrolet dealership were unable to fix Equinox now the other ones are struggling with the cmax... something is wrong with this picture. .. EDIT: I am back home now. The update did not go through again. They say THEIR computer crashed twice. And then when they were trying to revert something - they were unable to check any boxes on options available... So 4hr later I am a stack-where-I-was-before man now... again. This was the 2nd attempt. They did not even bother looking into 3 other issues (push-to-start malfunction, touch-sensitive surface on the door handles malfunction and also why I could not stop the car while in reverse)... The third attempt will be a reason for considering the Lemon Law way.
  15. Whereabout in Jersey?
  16. Just called the dealership and shazam - they have just received a notification that 3.5.1 + A4 are available for my car. Going there next Tuesday. What are the most noticeable pros of the new firmware? Is it less problematic? Less buggy?
  17. The car was at the dealership for 24 hours. Had a loaner so no big deal. But the car returned not only in the same but even in the worse shape... They were supposed to fix the infotainment. They made it even worse... Today three separate things happened that were really annoying: - could not turn on the car for a minute or so (several attempts) - after turning it on - the power steering did not work (had to cope with it the Microsoft way - restarting everything) - could not open the car - had to reach for the fob - and then the best of all:
  18. Three weeks, two sightings. One purple in Somerville, NJ and one black on Berkshire Valley Road in Jefferson Twp., NJ
  19. Today I took my CeeMax to the dealer because the screen (Sony+nav) froze a number of times. They said they would keep it for an update. They promised to return the car after 30-60 mins. It turned out that: - my VIN was not matching the version of a system - the navi SD card (8.3) was not working with an update - neither the 8.4 version - after 2 hours they returned the car saying they will take it next Wednesday, they'll give me a loaner Taurus and they will check on the issue On my way home it was 2x more sluggish than before. Did the guys from M$ make the system on a Windows Millenium or something???
  20. Yeah, I know. I TRY to leave the right window very slightly open. And it works. And yes, the car is apparently very well sealed Otherwise I have discovered two nice features that work for me personally: - on AC off - it is still possible to maintain livable conditions inside at up to 70 degrees. The ventilation in general has been efficient so far. WAY better than in my former Chevrolets - in the morning when driving after the combustion engine begins to work I can accelerate effortlessly on EV. This is like a morning reward :) It is until reaching the 1st intersection or full stop in general. Then the driving becomes "normal"
  21. I have already found really annoying the un-cool feature: you have to REALLY slam the doors to have them closed. Otherwise the car is really nice.
  22. $2,000.00 down trade-in: $18,500-$21,700 upside/down equity (-$3,200) minus two rebates ($1,250 total) 36 months 15k miles My car is SEL + 301A I pay $491/month (35 times) extended warranty + tire/wheel protection rolled in. So it is like $0.426 per mile. Am I correct? Good? Bad?
  23. Yeah. I know. Let me begin with: "How very surprised I am with this car! Very, very nice. Can't wait till the next time I will HAVE to drive it!" Yesterday on my way from the dealership I took it for an extra spin. And then - for an extra one. And another one. Did you ever get bored with the C-max? Such a fun to drive and to charge/regenerate/synergy the thing. I already put 105 miles of pointless driving on it! Genuinly enjoying the car. Simple yet sophisticated. Normal yet extraordinary. In my case - it is like a car re-discovered! LOL :)
  24. Hi. I have just leased a silver C-Max SEL 301A. Everything seems to be ok so far. Missing two features but can live without them. (302A and a "sunroof").
