ScubaDadMiami
I tried running a VHR today. First, the program seemed to run for a longer time than I expected, and about after a minute or more, I got a message that "This Feature is Not Available Right Now," or something like that. The entire time that the report was trying to run, ICE was running (through an area where I can go EV), and I couldn't get into EV. (So, I already feel like my first tank has been ruined for FE! :censored: ) I tried to run it again later in the day, and I again couldn't connect to the server. (I am registered, I got the confirmation email before this, and I have over 200 miles on the C-MAX.) Is running the report a FE killer, or was it just coincidence? While I am at it, how often does it fail to connect to the server?
ceemax71
The vehicle health report uses your cell phone to upload the report. Was your cell phone coverage adequate where you were at the time?I've done the VHR twice and it only took 15-20 seconds to complete. I didn't notice a change in FE. ScubaDadMiami
In the first location, it was a not so great area for reception. In the second location, I really don't remember. I'll give it another try in an area that I know has good coverage.
homestead
FYI,In order to allow a break-in period for your vehicle, you may not be able to create a Vehicle Health Report until your vehicle odometer has reached 200 miles.
Edsel
I had a Snapshot plugged into one of the OBD II ports and couldn't run a VHR until I removed it. When it did run it took less than a minute. Do you have anything plugged in? Never noticed the ICE thing as a was always parked using just the HV battery.
ceemax71
As part of collecting data for the health report, the engine has to be warmed up and running to read the various ICE parameters. So, that could cause the FE to drop. Edited June 8, 2013 by ceemax71
ScubaDadMiami
I ran the report again today. This time, I waited until everything was warmed up, and I made sure to have good cell reception. The report ran in about 20 to 30 seconds, it seemed, and ICE did not turn on other than normal. All OK.
Red Twin
I have used it twice without issues. I appears to only take a few seconds and I get a beep for reeived mail on my iPhone. I really think this is a nice feature.

Noah Harbinger
is this only for the Energi model? I have the feature on the Hybrid, although I haven't used it yet.

ScubaDadMiami
Different things. Vehicle Health is free, and is on both models. You get reports online after registering. The app for the vehicle is only for the Energi, though it would be nice to have all kinds of remote access to the standard hybrid model.
