WannaCMAX
Just wondering if there is a way to pop it open from the inside.

stolenmoment
On my 2013 Energi, there's a button at the bottom right of the center panel that pops it, right next to the gas cap popper.
raadsel
I think it may depend on which trim level you have. I know that cars with the power liftgate have a button, it kind of hides behind the shifter. It is the same set of buttons beneath the climate control, where the rear defrost button is. I'm not sure if models without the power liftgate have a trunk release button.

Are you asking is there anĀ emergency release inside the car in case the FOB or liftgate button on dash console for cars with a power liftgate failĀ to open the liftgate?Ā There is no emergency release inside the car should the FOB or power liftgate button on dash fail to open liftgate. vandekat
Hello, I am a new forum member. Is it possible to open the trunk, without a 12v battery. greetings Piotr
Bill-N
No.Ā The liftgate has an electric latch.Ā So don't store jumper cables back there. Noah Harbinger
C-MaxA2
Why not just fold the rear seat down (using the lever near the side rear door)? Ā That would allow you access to the trunk area without opening the rear hatch door.Ā Ā I only have an SE model with a physical key but I understand there's a key inside the fob for those with auto open fobs. Ā Never wanted the fob because of precisely this kind of issue. Ā 'Keep it simple'.Ā
101st monkey
What about in case of accident, my batch is badly deformed, will not open. When I go to replace it, how, short of cutting it off, can I get it to open?Ā

That's what is dead or dying. Your high voltage battery -- the one that powers the electric motor -- is all good.
homestead
I suggest... Just fully charge the battery first. Ā Jumping the battery and short drives don't last if the battery was dead. After fully charging if you are still having problems take it to a battery place and have them test the battery, usually no charge for this. Then if the test shows the battery is bad replace it.
