  1. Ford will continue to have hybrids and plug ins in its lineup because those vehicles dramatically lower the company's over all MPG.
  2. LOL @ everyone who was defending the original rating!
  3. I'd be very happy with that. Yesterday was my update, and first oil change, so I'm looking forward to going on the interstate for a good stretch.
  4. Hmm. I mean, it isn't bad in general. I just was hoping for a bit better after the update. So was it a slight tailwind or headwind?
  5. 39 mpg at 65 mph. Meh. I assume you got the update since you said you were in ev mode twice. How many miles are you at?
  6. i don't want it to seem like i always get over 50mpg, my tanks are always easily over 41 mpg though (pre-update).
  7. ^ lol So I guess you've yet to test the traction* control?
  8. I love how I can stomp the gas pedal, get up to cruising speed, and use EV mode to still get over 50 MPG! I thought I'd pay for using the battery charge up with my next trip this morning, but everything was fine. (Of course I follow the speed limit and drive safely) 1.1 miles of pushing the ICE hard: The power of this car was main along point for me as I wasn't looking for a hybrid at the time, and I'm just really happy it can be enjoyable to drive while saving $ on gas.
  9. Ah, I went to them first but they offered just $8k for my 07 mustang gt trade in that was worth $16 at least.
  10. I don't know if you used chapel hills ford but I just scheduled my update with them. :)
  11. Oh cool, I live in the springs too! I will definitely get the update because it'll help movement on I-25 in town. Plus, any interstate travel over 62mph, really.
  12. I figured much. It's basically like a new tune right?
  13. no firm plan yet. maybe next friday. they said it'd take half the day but if they'll give me a loaner i'll see about tomorrow.
  14. I'd love to see results going 70-80mph 99% of the time :D Can't wait for my update!!
  15. Yes! I would do it again. I have just over 7,000 miles on mine now. My only disappointment was getting 35-37mpg on the interstate over 2,800 miles with my family in the car. However, the software upgrade should significantly improve travel at 70+ mph.
  16. lol @ getting a Prius. If you wanted something small, slow with still good mpg you could have saved ~ $10k and gotten a tiny conventional car
  17. A side road trip this morning with very little traffic :) I really wish I could get that software update, I've been on the interstate a lot this weekend. And I think that'll put me at 45+ mpg while @ 70mph.
  18. He was an interesting guy. Apparently he did a lot to help create a larger middle class by offering a decent wage for his employees.
  19. If you have a 2013 car and can't afford premium you should have went used.
  20. Probably been mentioned, but if you turn on your front wipers while in reverse the rear* wipers will take a swipe.
  21. It'd be nice to cut out the leaching generally dishonest middle men who make way more money than they deserve.
  22. I'm happy with my ~40-41 mpg just driving, and gunning it fairly often. If you do go on the interstate at 70+ mph with a modest load don't expect better that 37 mpg, before the software update at least.
