  1. The speed was a main selling point for me. I keep meaning to Google how people have boosted power on the Prius, but it'd be out of curiosity. I'd assume a large exhaust and air intake would boost horse power by about ten easily, but if anyone had done that I'd be surprised. I wouldn't want a fart can sound either, I can't stand that..
  2. lol Nope, no note to split mine :p
  3. This Plus, it has and had the potential to get 47/47+ while staying under 62 mph or whatever the damned EPA tests at.
  4. It was a nice little cruise around post, mostly flat, up and down one decent hill. Pretty sure if I lived on post and never left then hitting 700 mile/tank would be easy-peasy, as long as the weather held.
  5. Round trip 30-40mph, started and ended with low battery:
  6. Wow! Glad you are OK. That's one weakness of our beautiful cmax--she's a bit small.
  7. Was there headwind? Rain? 40 mpg is now the quoted ideal for highway driving, so expect under that for interstate travel. Before the update I was getting 35-37 mpg @ a constant 70+ mph, weather dependent. With AC, and a load, and before the break in period. Really, that's fine. Compared with the 47 highway they claimed when I bought the car, it's not close. But still the $ difference on a 2,800 mile trip was negligible.
  8. Wow, that's amazing! You should start a thread. I'd love to hear more about the old days!
  9. I was cruising around today, taking care of a few things and hitting the gym, and was happy to see 50.0+ MPG on trips where I accelerated as fast as possible at a few stops. A rear view camera would be nice to observe peoples' faces when they see a car with a "hybrid" label pull ahead of them :D Good luck finding a better performing vehicle that gets equal or greater MPG! WITH THE INTERIOR SPACE!
  10. lol another non-typical hybrid driver. i like it.
  11. Two people posted that they received it, but they didn't elaborate.
  12. At least the speed limit. Even a little under around traffic is unsafe and foolish IMO. Generally I'm admit three mph over. I did just get 47 mpg with two passengers on a two hour trip, but a lot of it was 65-70 mph. and, I need to see what the elevation change was. (Colorado Springs to Boulder) I'm very happy with that number though. My lifetime average is up to 39.0 (which appears on shutdown) and my full-time displayed average is 42.5. I only drove conservatively for a whole tank once to get 600 miles. I don't have the patience to do that all the time, LOL
  13. I never heard the $800 mentioned.
  14. Nice! When did you get your cmax? I'd assume they'd go by purchase date. Who knows though..
  15. Does that mean I averaged 506 mpg? Haha Totally kidding.
  16. I just went up and down a mountain yesterday, Pike's Peak (14,110 ft). it was weird how the ICE would stay on while the hill brake was on. I had to stop the car to get back in EV mode. Going up I got 14.5 mpg and down it 999.9 mpg over twenty miles, lol. But, ya, I agree she does very well in the mountains. The roads were wet and there was a little hail at the top but she had no problem!
  17. CARMAX offers the fairest trade value in my experience. I'd recommend anyone gets a quote from them before going to a dealership
  18. Surely, any deviation would be the sole fault of the consumer! /sarcasm
