Good luck, Andrew. Your car problems gave many of us helpful information. Glad you can relax and enjoy a new car.

Laurel, I noticed the same "turn car off to save power notice" a couple times as I listened to the radio in accessory mode. Started a pitter patter in my heart but this was 6 weeks ago and I've had no battery issues. My trips are two 6 minute jaunts each day, the same for the past 7 years with my Prius. I question the correlation between hybrids and small 12 volt battery problems, however, I'm a sampling of one. Please post if your service visit answers any of your concerns.

With what you know, would you buy your C Max today (again)

I've owned a Jeep and Prius!! The C-Max makes me very happy, but if my 12 volt goes....... -
Mine was built rather early-end of Aug. no camera problems but clock and phone connectivity issues.
-
We also have many tv commercials for the CMax but no print ads. Doesn't make sense unless so many are on back order?
-
Can't find any CMaxes in our Chicago ads either. Really mystifying. How about other parts of the country? I'm very curious if this is due to a select population ordering the car or problems under examination by Ford. What do others think?

Welcome and enjoy your car. My 3rd hybrid but 1st Ford. CMax is stylish, smooth, and upscale.

Wishing you smooth driving from tomorrow on.

Assisted parking sensors too?

If "grabby" brakes means extra sensitive, this is the very first driving issue I noticed during my test drive. After 5 months I'm pretty much used to it-though when another family member drives my car we experience lots of sudden jerks.

I have cousins who live in Montreal and have visited several times over decades. Send air tickets and hotel reservations for the Sofitel-lovely area.

Welcome from Illinois. First hybrid and a luxurious one as well is very exciting.

Good luck, Andrew. Hopefully a few months from now you'll be driving a car which is free from problems and gives you much happiness.

Hybrid mpg is variable. No way around it . I'm a crossover Prius to CMax owner. My mpg for both ranged from 20's to 40's due to all the factors discussed on hybrid forums. To be honest, the CMax seems to average 2-3 mpg lower comparing the 7 years driving the Prius to these first few months. Overall, though, it has a lot to offer. It's noticeably smoother and quieter, has better pick up, stylish, and I decided to go all out with options this time around.( My only regret, I wish Ford had manufactured a bright red.)

I didn't know I had automatic wipers!
erwhitham replied to osiebosie's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors & Wipers
Setting to Auto doesn't turn my lights on in brighter days. I've applied black duct tape to the light sensor which allows nearly 100% DRL. -
It's possible. When I owned my Prius and was a member of the forum, the goal of many (not me) was to see how many miles to go on a tank. And to see the highest mpg by any means possible. I remember several 600 or more miles achieved.

Very interesting. Now the question-what is the % of drain( this may be a repeat question)? Also, is a battery drain for leaving the radio on true for all cars? All hybrids? Just ours?

Assistance again, please specify. Do you mean the wiper is pushed up to the fastest speed or the knob is adjusted to a certain mark? Couldn't get anywhere yesterday in light snowfall with auto wipers. -
I was told that every salesman at my dealer had to go through a complete training on the CMax-and it lasted for several sessions.

I also started going bonkers trying to say Navigation Home and getting nowhere. Preface with Destination and voila!

As an aside, my remote start goes off after 10 minutes. As I enter my car ready to leave, the radio still plays. I haven't checked to see how long it continues after the car shuts off.
