  1. Most of my driving is HWY at 45.8mpg avg. plus the difference in the cost of diesel it still make sense to have CMAX Hybrid. IMHO :) Paul
  2. The way things turned out you might as well jumped started it, at least you would know If you could or not. They need to check what condition your 12v battery is in. Would have been nice to know what Voltage the battery had left. Do you have EV+ turned on? It seems that most dead battery problems have happened at home over night. Probably just an other coincident, I have had several times over the last two years were something is running underneath the rear of the car and I have restarted the car and shut off again and the noise stops. When the problem happens once a year it make it very hard to diagnose the problem. :) Paul
  3. I've used car wash one's and I have a personal one for cleaning house and car. There is no reason you can't use standard cleaning methods. :) Paul

  5. When I first used the NAV system I was terrible at it until I learned how to use it. IMO The NAV system is fine, not Great, But until you learn how to use it can be difficult. If you want to go somewhere just hit voice command and say Destination street address or POI, then it will ask you nearby or in a city. Respond with either and then give POI or address with city and then confirm destination and you are on your way. Less steps than my Garmin which is also in the car. Bottom line is non of us like to change or to read the manual. IMHO :) Paul

  7. I heard mine do it again last week and I'm sure I've heard probably 4 times and have started the car and shut it down to stop it in almost two years. :) Paul

  9. It maybe easier than that , because if you know you have problem it you only need to turn the car on and off to solve the problem. I have parked my car at night in the garage and have heard sometime running under the rear of the car, by turning the car on and off it goes away. :) Paul

  12. I found a Wireless voltmeter on line (http://www.i-voltmeter.com/) that appears to be able to log Voltages over time and can send Info 30ft to Iphone or computer, maybe there is something here to figure out the problem. Maybe someone smarter can put it together. What do you think? :) Paul

Um, maybe, and a stickler might even say different temps and different traffic (the latter is probably the only thing that really could be true and make a difference)" SOC at the beginning and end of a 12.5mile can also make a big difference in MPG's. If you really want to be scientific you need to take a pic at the start of your gauges( Display and trip) and at the end of each segment to see what is really going on. I wish I had the time to work with you when I was there, Maybe next time. That being said it seems you are doing a better job than most and you need to get signed up on Fuelly.com to keep track of your mileage and help to bring up the overall average for CMAX's.   15. The Owner doesn't want to spend the money. They sold a couple of 2013 CMAX's and probably traded a couple. That's strange in that they have had 20 Fusion Hybrids and usually have at least two in stock all the time. Still haven't got one 2014 CMAX yet. They said they just ordered one for someone. Down here most small Dealers aren't certified, I guess eventually they all will. ;) Paul
  16. Not sure this is relevant for the past, but could be. An interesting note that FORD is pushing now for Sales of CMAX's 6% SE, 52% SEL and 42% Energi's this from my FORD Dealer's Sales Manager and they aren't an Electric Dealer so they can't sell Plugin's. :) Paul

  18. Having had a problem with a bearing in the rear for 30K mi. thinking it was tires and when I replaced the tires the noise didn't go away. Replaced bearing and the car was much quieter. :) Paul
  19. I have left the cord plugged in a number of times and it pulls out after I get out of the garage. darn I have to drag it back into the garage. Plug by the windshield sounds like a good Idea and hang it on the mirror so I can't miss it. :) Paul

  21. You are cheating! LOL You have a long extension cord. LOL :lol: :lol2: Grill Covers and 50PSI will give you about 3mpg more. :) Paul
  22. My experience is Ethanol Free Gas(Pure Gas) gets better MPG's than Premium even though 89 vs 93 Octane. It comes down to how much Ethanol there is in Gas at the pump which they won't tell you. I can tell you I travel all over the country and some areas I get better MPG's than others. I'm assuming the amount of Ethanol in the gas is the difference. :) Paul
