2014 tire Aero Dams available from FORD
ptjones replied to ptjones's topic in Accessories & Modifications
I'm not sure what happened but here it is along with the spoiler I made between them. The glass tape was for added security but I ripped it off(it didn't stick anyways), the Velcro did a great job of holding the spoiler in place. :) Paul -
It takes awhile to turn it into a habit. LOL :) Paul

FORD HYBRIDS should come standard with ICE block heaters

Funny on Fordparts.com they only show one screw to order and that is what I used. They seem tobe working fine. :) Paul- 30 replies

Post Your Life Time MPG's, Total Mi., EV mi., Regen mi. and Brake Score

I was just thinking that your Fuelly City/Hwy percentage could also factor in the numbers. Mine are 82% HWY/18%City :) Paul -
No it isn't, if you look under the cover in the back on the right side you will see the 12volt battery, HVB sits where the spare tire would go. :) Paul
-
You left out one important bit of info how many miles do you have? :) Paul
-
I'm sorry but both batteries are in the back, but I'm sure it is the 12v battery. What did you do when you had a dead battery? :) Paul

You have some good information there. I checked my numbers and the only thing reset was Regen miles. Apparently the Technician had options on what to reset.Regen only appears to have a significant effect on mileage if you are in stop and go or city driving all the time. I think there is a correlation between speed and EV miles and like you said weather can have a drastic effect on MPG's. You could look at your Mileage for each season off of Fuelly. Thanks for the help. :) Paul -
Do you have a 12volt jumper battery? I'm afraid to say this but 12volt battery don't fail without some help IMO. Something is draining the battery. I have heard that humming sound in the back too, I turn the car back on and then off which solves the problem. :) Paul

You are right, unfortunately I didn't get a LifeTime pic at that time they did the update so I guessed with my last LT pic in Feb 2013 with 525mi Regen and Sept. 1, 2013 117.6mi Regen mi. so I think I had 875mi. which added to my current rounded off to 2900mi. :) FORD hasn't made it easy to figure out with 2014 don't even have LifeTime. :drop: At least we have a start. Thanks for the update on Torx bit T-30, there is definitely room on firewall side, but it's not flat. Be careful with Torx screws because they will strip out easily, so lightly hand tighten. :) Paul- 30 replies

FORD HYBRIDS should come standard with ICE block heaters

There is a flat spot big enough on the bottom of Oil Pan and is easy to install. I would recommend second one on the side of block if you can find a spot with easy access and Oil Pan heater does bend if necessary. You will need to jack up the front of car and remove bottom cover, you will need star screw driver. :) Paul- 30 replies

In your example the Brake Score doesn't have much impact on MPG's. I'm starting a new thread for MPG info. :) Paul -

Why does the back end get so disproportionately dirty?
ptjones replied to david4455's topic in General Discussion
There is very little air flow down the back of the car so when dirt lands on it doesn't get blown off. It is kind of a vacuum, I have GasPods, but I don't think it makes much difference. :) Paul -
As things go I'm going to be in Deltona probably within a week or so if you're interested. LOL :) Paul

I'll make you feel alittle better, your Odometer is off 1.5% so you actually went 623.5mi. and 46.5 MPG. Good Job! Put that info in Fuelly.com :happy feet: Paul

Should of got the Energi a little hard to screw up the MPG's for the first 20mi. LOL :) Paul
