  1. Seems like a good idea, I moved over because mentioned this one a year and a half ago. :) Paul
  2. Did you leave Trip 2 unchanged or did you reset it? I don't know why FORD did that other than try to improve the mileage numbers. What does it show when you turn off the car? :) Paul
  3. No, there is another CMAX forum which hardly anyone uses. It's called CMAXHYBRIDOWNERSFORUM.com and I used it before this site. My login still works :) Paul
  4. Smiling Jack you make me laugh. LOL Here are my two Data points: My Car LifeTime MPG 46.4, Brake score 98%, EV miles 29225.4, Regen miles 2038.1 and total miles 65,438.5. EV% 44.6 Used CMAX LT 37.3, 92% 2504.7 335.9 6,782.2. EV% 37 Well this is a start and it is very obvious that EV % and Brake Score make a big difference. Now if we had a bunch more we could make a graph that would mean something. If other members want to post their numbers I will post them to my Post. There does seem to be a direct connection between EV% and MPG's. :) You need to setup Trip 1 for you and Trip 2 for her. LOL That way you can keep track. :drop: I suspect she won't improve, oh well what can you do. ;) Paul
  5. So what is your LifeTime Brake Score and MPG's? :) Paul
  6. In the Tire Rack Prius test the Michelin's were the best MPG's and I just replaced my Michelin's at 65K miles. I'm fine with the overall performance so I stayed with the best MPG's. :) Paul
  7. If I knew how to start a thread where members could post their LifeTime MPG and Breaking Scores we could create a graph to show a correlation between Break Score and MPG's. IMO :) Paul
  8. The test I saw on Tire Rack for Prius showed our tire got the best MPG's of all LLR tires and at 50psi I can't complain with performance in all conditions. IMO :) Paul
  9. I currently have a Wolverine Model #9 Oil Pan Heater at 125watts, I think it is a little low wattage for the job and would recommend two with one on the side of the block to speed up the heat up time. In one hour I don't notice any WT rise although I'm sure there is at the oil pan. I have left it on over nite and in the morning the is 20 degrees F than outside temp. Oil Pan is along way from WT sensor. I have a FORD CMAX block heater to install in the block but my FORD Dealer wants $721 to install it. I'm going to find a auto repair shop to install it for less than $100 I hope. I have a FORD CMAX service manual CD and I could do it myself if I had easy access under the car. :) Paul
  10. Maybe a long extension cord. LOL Grill Covers are the way to go to improve MPG's and don't require electricity. :) Paul
  11. I went back and took pics of Smart Gauge Lifetime Numbers Brake Score 92% and Trip Gauge for reference. edited on original Post #36 :) Paul
  12. Early mornings and late at nite are the best time to drive. The humidity is a problem. LOL :) Paul
  13. Well yesterday my Dealer called me to see if knew anyone that would be interested in used 2013 CMAX SE with 6K miles on it for $19K. It had been traded for a F150, dealer said the guy was very big and he was a tight fit for a CMAX. You can imagine my curiosity(I haven't driven someone else's CMAX) to see what kind of MPG's it was getting and if it had any 12v battery problems. So first we checked car history and saw no problems, great! Next I checked the car out, nicely equipped with NAV no obvious problems so I got in and turned it on. I was amazed at what I saw, this owner had not changed the Smart Gauge settings since he drove it off the Dealer's Lot! The Display was set for Vehicle Range and instantaneous MPG's, trip gauges were set for standard and #1 had been reset once on first tank, #2 had the original mileage and average MPG's of 37.2 since new. Smart Gauge was on Fuel Economy: Coach when I turned on the car. The right side was set for leaves. It would appear to me that this person just put gas in the car and wasn't worried about the MPG's. Lifetime Brake Score was 92% My take away from this is that CMAX's owners getting 37mpg drive their CMAX like a regular car not a Hybrid. I drove this car around town and got 56mpg! IMHO :) Paul
  14. You would need the extra space real bad to justify buying a PriusV. It is hard to imagine you would buy a PriusV after driving a CMAX. The CMAX has more Occupant Space than Prius V. :) Paul
  15. What's with the Liters and Km? We don't use that in the US, are you trying to confuse us? :) Paul
  16. I would PM Ashley, our Ford Rep. and get her on the case. Make 3 more posts and you will be able to PM her. I hope you have a jumper battery. IMO :) Paul
  17. Just click on her Avatar and private message her. Would recommend a jumper battery to save you time. :) Paul
  18. I'm not sure but I thought they both have Patents and share back and forth. I believe patents are only good for 14years. :) Paul
  19. I went the other way with 2007 Focus to CMAX. I worked on it till I got 40 to 45mpg on HWY but 28mpg around town. I put Goodyear Fuel Max on and gained 3-5mpg. :) Paul
  20. Yes it did and it sounded more like a grinding sound that changed pitch with speed. I would have it looked at, don't think it would be brakes, maybe bearings or tires. Good Luck :) Paul
  21. Well it turns out I have had a bad left rear bearing for a long time and had it replaced yesterday and now my car is quieter now. YA! :) Paul
  22. I can see where that would decrease the fun factor, I assume you have a jumper battery, I do and I'm not having battery problems. Here's what I do usually when I drop off my car at the dealer is take a new car for test drive for the day and I've been able to take an F150 over-nite. Yipe! I'm planing on getting a F150 in the future and it takes a lot of test drives to figure out what options I want. LOL :) Paul
  23. You will hate yourself when gas hits $5 a gallon and you get stuck in traffic and seeing all those $ going out the tale pipe when you could have been EVing for miles for nothing. Don't mind the CMAX person with a grin on their face being stuck in traffic knowing their mileage is getting better while everyone's else is getting worse. I would call that thinking ahead, not behind. Good Luck with your decision. :) Paul
  24. You didn't answer the question! LOL Is everyone OK? :) Paul
