  1. I have had problems with the HVB fan running after I shut the car off and only had the car on for 30-60sec. I got it to stop after turning the car on and off again. The ICE never came on. Nice job SnowStorm :) Paul
  2. How many gal did you put in the tank? :) Paul
  3. I saw one on ebay for $23, but the installation looks problematic. And how far North do you have to be, Alaska! LOL I think it should be standard for all hybrids. :) Paul
  4. I believe I have the same engine in my wife's Explorer and the best MPG I've gotten on a tank is 29.3mpg. Her's is FWD, they don't make a AWD with ECO boost 4cyl. :) Paul
  5. Are there any FORD Electric Dealers nearby besides the one you are going too? That's to long to wait and what about a loner to use while they have it? Have you PM Ashley (FORD Rep) about your problems? :) Paul
  6. I guess you didn't get ICE block heaterwith the car, I thought some CMAXer's got ICE block heaters. Maye it was FFH that got them. I'm checking with my Dealer to see what it would cost to install. I installed a oil pan heater from NAPA auto parts. I plug mine in at work and home.
  7. It will be interesting to see what you MPG's are for a tank. Also for HWY driving, what's the EPA numbers? :) Paul
  8. Welcome to the two Ford Family Group. LOL :) Paul
  9. You should be able to go 85mph in EV, mine gets 86mph according to GPS. Sounds like something is amiss, I gained maybe one mpg with change on HWY. I wonder if they change % of Ethanol during winter in FL. For a test put in Pure Gas for a full tank and maybe injector cleaner see if that makes a difference. Might check air filter, changed mine at 40K, check tire psi, run mine at 49psi. and have 52K them going for 60K. Try to cover all the possibilities, it will be interesting if the Dealer comes up with anything. :) Paul
  10. On two lane road you can turn your turn signal on and they back off or go around you after a few times. LOL :) Paul
  11. Do you have an ICE block heater or garage? Have you tried Grill Covers? Oil pan heater is worth 2mpg short distances, anywhere you can plug it in. :) Paul
  12. It would be interesting if others would monitor their voltage at power point to see if my results are similar to theirs. I've seen a low of 11.5v when I open the door to 13.5v when I get out. It sedately drops with time after getting out of car. When I get in the car it slowly goes up from 11.5v-11.7v to 12.5+v until I start the car where it jumps to 14.4v with a high of 15.2v after driving awhile. :) Paul
  13. I thought I read that this problem happen with SE models and not SEL models. If that is the case I would have up graded to an SEL, less risk. IMO I plugged in to my power point a digital volt meter after being away from MADMAX for 5days and tried to start it, but the computer didn't see my fob twice. Both times I hit door lock on fob and doors locked and then I started the car. Figured it might be low batt. in fob, but then I got in the car the next time and the display didn't light up, but the car did start. Since then, couple of days ago I haven't had any problems. When I first get in the car I have 11.7v, but it gradually goes up and then I start the car and it jumps up to 14v to a high of 15v. :headscratch: :detective: Paul
  14. If you check your odometer with GPS you will find that you are going 1.5% miles farther than you think you are and your mpg's are .5-.7mpg better. 5% isn't that bad, I usually see .4-1gal difference with occasionally right on.I don't think the dealer can calibrate the computer, but it is worth a try and lets us know what they say. :) Paul
  15. I see this problem whether I'm driving the CMAX or Explorer, two many people are tailgaters They don't seam to realize what they are doing or their always in a big hurry and that is the way they drive. It will be interesting what your long term results are. :) Paul
  16. I notice not having them on my wife's Explorer(She has Blis) little confusing going back and forth. :) Paul
  17. Can you start your CMAX if the battery is dead? Gee I wonder if anyone make a system that would text you if the battery was getting low? :) Paul
  18. I think it is blatantly obvious that Canadian's are getting better CMAX's than we are! This is not far! LOL :lol2: Paul
  19. I took a 6K mile trip last month and got spots all over the engine compartment(everywhere) and used my water hose with sprayer to wash off the complete engine compartment as well as the underside of the CMAX. There is no way to keep the engine compartment sealed and you don't want to for you need air circulation to keep various electrical and etc. components cool. Simple solution just spray it off, problem solved. :) Paul
  20. All the water, dirt and salt go through radiator and all over the engine compartment and can be sprayed off with high pressure water. Even with Grill Covers stuff gets all over the place. It's the owner responsibility to keep his CMAX Clean unless your can talk your Dealer into doing it. LOL :) Paul

    lemon?

Sorry to here about your problem with your 12v battery. A poll of 27 members that chose to participate 7 had 12v batt. problems. With 51Kmi. the only time I had a problem was when I forgot to turn it off. I used battery charger to restart it. Can't blame the car. Sure is weird approx. 30% have problems and the rest don't. :) Paul
  22. Sounds like you are going to have to have the dealer fix it if you can't find your spare fob. Let us know how it goes, Good Luck. :) Paul
  23. I hate to tie up my smart phone and may eventually look for something that has even more info on the screen. :) Paul
  24. MPG's are going up with slight improvement in average temps. Feb 21 fill up 47.9mpg and Mar 6 fill up 49.9mpg. This is with Grill Covers, Oil pan heater, GasPods, wheel covers, tires 49psi. and ScaGauge. Should be in middle 50's by end of Apr. :shift: :) Paul
