  1. My wife decided that I should have Business Cards to hand to CMAX people that would have fordcmaxhybridforum.com on them so they could join in on the fun. :yahoo: They only cost $10 at Vista Print Paul
  2. Checked two FFH yesterday at Dealer and one read 11.9v with acc switch on and other one didn't come on until you started the ICE. Weird! :) Paul
  3. Bought FORD CMAX Engine Block Heater on EBAY MOTORS today for $76. Temps in high 70's today and still with Grill Covers on I could only get to 184*F. :) Paul
  4. It now looks like you can by the parts to change a 2013 into a 2014 for around $300 from your FORD Dealer. :) Paul
  5. Here are the LR# wrong#, RR# wrong # LF # DM5Z 16B075-A, RF #DM5Z 16B074-A . Not sure when they will show up, could be awhile. :) Paul
  6. The Front air dams Deflectors are #DM5Z-16B074-A,#DM5Z-16B075-A. The rears Deflectors are DM5Z-5811398-A, DM5Z-5811398-B and all go for about $35ea :) Paul
  7. My findings are the same with oil pan heater and use it all year. I believe the best fuel efficiency is between 200-230 degrees F, Ford said normal operating coolant temperature was approximately 202-212*F. On the FWY going to Atlanta International Auto Show yesterday I started out at 52mpg average, but by 10miles it had dropped to 51mpg and stabilized. Having reached 200*F mpg's started going up, temps got to 227*F going up hills and 215*F going down. This is with Grill Covers on. At 40miles mpg's were up to 52.2 average for the tank and 53.2mpg for the trip. :) Paul
  8. If you plan on keeping the CMAX for 4-5 years mileage is going to be the main difference in resale value. I don't see new improvements making a significant difference in MPG's. The difference in the improvements maybe cost $200 at most. IMO :) Paul
  9. PM Ashley with your info and she will help you out. Good Idea the portable charger. Maybe the Solar Cell battery charger too. I wonder if that could eliminate the problem, band-aid,a number of members have gone to this solution. :) Paul
  10. Filled up 3/26 50.8mpg, 640mi , 390mi EV and 12.6gal. About 50% City and oil pan heater makes a significant difference between using it and not on 5 mile trips or less. Temps are moving up a little bit improving MPG's as expected. Got Fuelly back to 45mpg and Smart Gauge Life time to 46.1mpg. At this rate should be approaching 58-60mpg per tank by Summer. :) Paul
  11. You might try some experimenting on your own some foam insulation strips from HOME DEPOT. You might be able to figure out the problem. Good Luck :) Paul
  12. Did you PM Ashley? She can take care your problems. :) Paul
  13. Matt I think TIRE RACK can tell you. :) Paul
  14. I would agree with you from a warm weather local, but from where it's cold 5 months of the year it's much cheaper to run a block heater for an hour or two than running the ICE for 15-30 minutes to warm up the car. FORD could explain the money an owner would save and improvement in MPG's as compared to using gas to run the ICE to warm up the car, good selling point over other Hybrids. IMO :) Paul
  15. If I was having problems with the 12v batt I would carry a portable jumper battery just in case. Then I wouldn't have to stress about it. Then I could take it to Dealer when it was convenient for me. IMHO :) Paul
  16. I wasn't thinking about this from EPA testing, just to help CMAX get better MPG's during the winter time when everyone was complaining. Could have saved FORD millions in rebate money. I think EPA was only off by 3-4mpg by my testing. :) I think you are right but it would have given FORD an out and from my testing it's worth 2mpg's City driving all year long, maybe more so during the winter. :) Paul
  17. It just accord to me that if FORD had supplied ICE block heaters standard and recommended use when temps drop below 50degrees F to get the best MPG's, they might not ended up having to do the rebate. IMO :) Paul
  18. Good Job! How many gal did take to fill up? have you checked how accurate you odometer is, mine is off by 1.5%. It would be interesting to see what your actual mileage was and MPG's. :) I just top off 12.6gal, 639.9mi and 50.8mpg actual, Smart Gauge had 630.5mi, 12.15gal and 51.8mpg and 391mi EV. Paul
  19. The HVB charges the 12v battery every time I get in my car, I monitor that with power point digital volt meter. A Lithium ion 12v battery would save some weight, don't know it they even make them yet. :) Paul
  20. You can get digital power point volt meter from Amazon $6+ to monitor 12v battery and volt meters start around $15. I would be tempted to put a battery charger on it a night to make sure I didn't have a problem. I wonder if is possible to have a device that would send you a text if your voltage got to low? That would make it easy to figure out what is going wrong if you could catch it doing it. :detective: :headscratch: Paul
  21. ICE block heaters would improve MPG's by at least 2mpg all year around and shorten time to get heat in the winter. Remember CMAX doesn't want to EV until 128degrees WT. At this time the only way you can get a ICE BH is by fleet order according to FORD. It would be nice if you could order it as an option at least. IMO :) Paul
  22. FORD has an expensive one to buy parts, but I thought sum CMAXers had them. :) Paul
  23. Matt do you have ICE block heater in CMAX? :) Paul
  24. The Fan didn't come back on, now that I think about this it has happened three times. What voltage are you reading before you get in the car? Again I'm seeing 11.5v at power point when I open the door. Maybe I need to check my ground. Wonder if I checked the resistance if I'd see any? :) Paul
