  1. IMHO I think the MyTouch works fine for me, I guess I don't need that much, It does the job for me. :) Paul
  2. I'm sure there are packaging shops in your area that would have it and I think it is available up to 5" thick and can be cut to size easily. It is easy to work with, cut and is flexible. Cheap too. I will try to take a picture. :) Paul
  3. Have you tried any injector cleaner and how is your air filter? SOC will also have an effect on acceleration. With over 50k on MADMAX I can still brake lose the right front tire when I nail it. LOL :) Paul
  4. On my trip to SF and back I experienced a number of times on long down hills the HVB would max out and stop charging and no REG. I had to use the brakes to slow down and wished I had a bigger HVB to keep on charging. The Chevron goes away when fully charged and there is very little resistance if any going down hill. It seems so bazaar to have to step on the brakes and lose energy. IMO :) Paul
  5. I guess I need to set my ScanGauge to read SOC. This has happened a number of times when my car has been in the garage over night. :) Paul
  6. Did it start running rough after the accident when you took it to the repair shop? :) Paul
  7. What I'm talking about is a big change like 1/3 to 3/4 full. :) Paul
  8. What's wrong with LEXAN covers? When their clean you can hardly tell their on the wheel. :) Paul
  9. I think I've proved you actually can get Prius MPG's with some effort at it. :happy feet: And the CMAX weighs in at 600lbs more too. :) Paul
  10. The 3M double sided foam tape works great, but get it lined up right the first time. LOL :) Paul
  11. I had this happen with mine when the Dealer replaced the one of the receivers in the back seat and had to take back to Dealer to fix it. They had to remove seat again to fix it. They had never seen a CMAX before. :) Paul
  12. No, 909mi. was on a trip to Phoenix, AZ and the first tank was from Newnan,GA to Weatherford,TX the end of Oct. when temps were warmer. Thanks, we're glad too. :) Paul
  13. The Gray semi rigid foam I had in my lower Gill when we visited. It is used in packaging fragile things for shipping. :) Paul
  14. I guess some of us like to improve our CMAX's to see what is possible to do, so it's not all about the money, it's the challenge to improve too. My personal goals is to come up improvements to get 70mpg City, 50mpg HWY and over 1,000mi on a tank. I believe these goals are doable. IMO :) Paul
  15. When it warms up for a while I going to try out my hard foam idea out. Low cost and I don't have to worry about damaging the car if I run into something. :) Paul
  16. That's interesting those pieces weren't on the 2014 Energi I took pictures of. They look like you could order and install yourself. :) Paul
  17. I wonder if people are getting 98% or better Reg scores, that will definitely make a difference in your MPG's. With over 50K mi. my lifetime Reg score is 98%. :) Paul
  18. I would think that is a programing problem do the fact it is one step farther away from the computer than Smart Gauge. IMO :) Paul
  19. I like the idea of turning a CMAX into a money making snow plow, what a novel idea, wonder if FORD thought of it. :lol2: Paul
  20. Just an interesting note on duty cycle of ICE on my 6K mi. trip I got about 42mpg and 93% ICE. On my record trip of 909 mi., 65.4mpg on one tank I used ICE 29%, EV 71% big difference ICE running time. :) Paul
  21. I wonder if there is an rear reservoir? I will have pull the manual out and see. Just checked it out and there only one reservoir. :) Paul
  22. Number one, it is going to take awhile for your computer to learn the most efficient way to operate the ICE and 6kmi to break-in. I don't worry about charging the HVB passed half way and instead watch the terrain ahead and drive accordingly. I EV as far as I can then two bar ICE to the top of the hill or 5mph over speed limit and then coast over the top and down the other side. Once I'm going 5mph under I kick in EV power to maintain speed until ICE kicks in and two bar power until 5mph over again. ETC. Expect it will take you a while to make this a habit. You should be using the Empowered screen. Happy Hypermiling :) Paul
  23. I ordered my car because my dealer wasn't sure what to get. So I put the options I was interested in to them and they ordered it and I liked it and bought it. I had to go to MI for my Focus and Charlotte,NC for my wife's ECOboost Explorer. All transactions went smoothly, but a lot of driving. I would rather get exactly what I want and save money. LOL :) Paul
  24. I felt the same way too. 1-1/2 months later and every seems fine other than the paint chips easier. OH well I'm busy with the touch up paint. :drop: Paul
