  1. Make sure they do a good job. :) Paul
  2. Don't think that was the problem, but you can always add good injector cleaner. White smoke is oil, black is gas. :) Paul
  3. Energy worked fine for me too, I thought it was the Ad blocker I installed. :headscratch: Paul
  4. With temps from 30-44*F today I was still able to improve my MPG's this tank from 53.8 to 54.1 mpg's driving around town with about 300 miles on the tank. These mods really do work. :) Paul
  5. This is a good thread. Not a problem. :) Paul
  6. Couldn't get on to site for 2 days, but was able to on Wife's Computer so I rebooted mine and now it works. :yahoo: :headscratch: Paul
  7. I think the coldest temp I've seen is maybe 10*F and the HVB is going to stay warmer than the OT anyways. :) Has anyone had their HVB get below 0%*F? Paul
  8. Well that makes good sense, that's the way I drive and will work for most situations. :) Paul
  9. With that much wattage involved you would think there would be significant heat to dissipate. :headscratch: It didn't say anything about heat in the article. :) Paul
  10. How many Bars does the CMAX accelerate at? I believe two Bars is the most efficient way to accelerate and charge the HVB. :) Paul.
  11. I have Block and Oil Pan Heaters and I get +60*F rise in temps in 2 1/2 hrs. Do you have all the Grills blocked off? It comes down to conservation of heat/energy, don't let heat escape out of ICE compartment. Use all the ideas I have in my First Post including Seat Heaters. :) Paul
  12. I wouldn't like ECO Select, I'm not normally an aggressive anyway, but also some what of a control freak too. :) It might help those that are getting 37 mpg or less. IMO Paul
  13. I leave the ECO ON, but almost never use it. I like the right foot cruise control much better mpg's. Like coasting in N when there is a good opportunity. :) Paul
  14. I don't remember, do you have Grill Covers on? Tires 50psi? Oil Pan Heater? Premium? Just some ideas that will help. :) Paul

    LT48.5

    From the album: 2013 C-Max

New Life Time score of 48.5 mpg on 12/4/16
  16. Life Time has gone up again to 48.5 mpg's. :yahoo: Paul
  17. I also agree with Plus 3 Golfer, besides trying to come up a Hybrid FE rating is extremely variable because of driving style, 32 to 55 mpg. :shift:  Paul
  18. The Fuelly average is 40 mpg, but it is hard to figure out the percentage of HWY vs City. IMO anyone that drives a CMAX like a Hybrid should get 41 HWY and 47 City and from my experience the Cmax gets better City by 1 mpg than FFH. FFH gets one better HWY by 1 mpg. :) Paul
  19. Very little, Mobil 1 claims up to 15K miles and judging from the report I could more miles. I went close to 30K Odometer miles and one year. :) May have to pay extra for that. :) Paul
  20. You might be able to find a couple of used Michelin tires on eBay with similar tread depth for half the cost, just an option. :) Paul
  21. Got my report back from BlackStone Labs . :) The number are the same or improved from last time with 3k more miles. :yahoo: Paul
