  1. Laurel, I loved those too but I really liked the first cartoon to make it to prime-time. 7:30 on Friday nights if my boomer brain serves me correctly. None other than Jonny Quest :happy feet: but on the other end of the spectrum Saturday mornings were incomplete without the Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour over a bowl of Cheerios.
  2. David, we both know what 60 feels like  born in '53  Here in the SillyCorn Valley there are too many CMax to count, at first I tried by taking pictures of each one I saw but that became too much work.
  3. Thanks I will connect with them to see what there might be for Mac?
  4. Great, I have never had any battery issues since purchase in September 2012. Knock on wood.
  5. This is encouraging to hear that both the app's I've purchased will work with my iPad mini. As for downloading the free trail version of Scan XL, I work from a Mac Pro workstation so that won't work for me unless they offer a Mac version? I thought I read somewhere that there were issues with leaving it plugged in all the time? Thanks for the info Plus 3 Golfer
  6. Question for those owners who are monitoring their computer through the use of an external tablet or smart phone. I was wondering which OBD wifi unit I should buy? I have purchased for my iPad mini both EngineLink HD and DashCommand. So I need to get a unit which will interface with my iPad mini or my iPhone5. Do all of you have to remove the OBD cover because it looks like most of the ones I see on the internet are too long to fit behind the cover. Any thoughts would be appreciated. EngineLink at it's opening page says to purchase an ELM 327 OBD-II WiFi adapter which looks like most I've seen for sale on the Net.
  7. I have pretty much tried all the things you mentioned except for the master reset of which I'm not even sure how to do. Probably simple but I can be really behind the times when it comes to some things with this car.

Sure glad I live where this is not an issue. Don't mean to rub it in your face but this would not be acceptable to me.

Looks like you did a top notch job with the Plasti-dip? I chose to pull the dip off the center caps but I like yours. Looks very stealthy with the tint. thumbs up!
  10. Very nice WAB looks like it should do the trick. However I'm wondering if it is worth the time and effort? ;)
  11. The biggest problem is when a call comes in I can't hear it through my car speakers, I always end up removing my iphone from the cradle and taking the call through the phone which is illegal to do in California. It sync's fine with Sync, no problem getting it paired. Wasn't a problem before the last software upgrade through my local dealer where I bought the car.
  12. Very :lol2: Laurel and must be something to see. Certainly very original. I'm looking forward to enjoying some corned beef at a local brew pub with my Mom.
  13. Hey I like that, what app is that you have running? What is the device also? Curious if I can do this using my iPad mini? Nice job with the video.
  14. Hooray Laurel, spring is coming and almost here. You should begin to thaw out in the great northwest before too much longer. ;)
  15. Excuuuuuuuuse Me LOL I don't know why it posted twice, sorry
  16. I have found that driving with the downhill button pushed on allows me better AvMPG numbers. While driving on fairly level city streets at 35-40mph within a city block I saw my numbers increase from 43 to over 60. My question is does it hurt anything by driving with it turned on for longer periods after the road levels out. There just seems to be more increases in my tenth of a mile digit over when it is turned off. With it off if my numbers drop down to 43 and I push the button, right away the .X number starts increasing steadily. Has anyone noticed this?

  18. I don't feel this should be expected of a CMax or from Ford. My early SEL Sept, 2013 has not given me any battery problems. To date my only unresolved issue is the MFT not wanting to sync and take hands free phone calls through my iPhone 5. The software updates are not an issue with me either. As for the one kick tailgate problem, it has been resolved by the update. I'm very happy with Maxus despite these hiccups
  19. sweet! wish I saw these before I bought my Hella DRL's. I like that they come mounted on an aluminum machined mounting bracket which is black anodized. Very top shelf. My only question is if they are the same blindingly bright white light that my Hella's put out.
  20. thats right the HV batteries are Li-Ion rechargables and are maintenance free. I guess the solar panel would work well with the 12v battery?
  21. Below is an excerpt I cut from the story Frank's link connects to. Watering is the single most important step in maintaining a flooded lead acid battery, a requirement that is all to often neglected. The frequency of watering depends on usage, charge method and operating temperature. A new battery should be checked every few weeks to determine the watering requirement. This prevents the electrolyte from falling below the plates. Avoid exposed plates at all times, as this will sustain damage, leading to reduced capacity and lower performance. Exposed plates will sustain damage, leading to reduced capacity and lower performance. If the plates are exposed, immediately fill the battery with distilled or de-ionized water to cover the plates, and then apply a charge. Do not fill to the correct level before charging as this could cause an overflow during charging. Always top up to the desired level after charging. Never add electrolyte as this upsets the specific gravity and induces rapid corrosion. Watering systems eliminate low electrolyte levels by automatically adding the right amount of water. I'm wondering how we as owners can be sure the above is not happening to our batteries? I must admit I have not tried to view our HV batteries if we even can to know for sure.
  22. good info Frank for anyone considering this, thanks

    lemon?

To all owners who have dealt with failed 12v batteries and have either lived with them or decided to use the "Lemon Law" in their respective states. I want to say I'm sorry for your frustration because I know it is disheartening to live with after buying your CMax and expecting a trouble-free and enjoyable driving experience. But I want to say that I'm sorry for my remarks to your frustration and pain. I haven't spoken in a sympathetic and understanding way always. I can't know how you feel obviously and also because the battery issues have not been a problem for my SEL built September of 2012. In wake of recent comments that posts have not been supportive but rather the opposite. I just want to say I'm sorry and hope you all get what you want.
  24. Plus3golfer, below is copy and pasted right from my fuelly.com page. I also have the smelly A/C function which has yet to be resolved and I'm growing very tire of dealing with it. I've never had anything like that before in any car I've owned. Did you get rid of it? Basic Stats41.4 (+0.1)avg MPG 47.1 (+4.5)last MPG 81.7 (10/5/12)best MPG $3.79 Avg. Price/Gallon$46.93 Avg. 25. my thoughts too, one to drive for each day of the week. :wub2:
