I was curious and took a listen as well on iTunes Laurel, thanks for the suggestion since I'd never heard of him either. I listened to several music track samplers and nice but I also listened to a similar artists tracks and I liked Ray Baretto better as it sounded allot like Carlos Santana's style of music who I grew up on in the 70's and 80's both during and after my school years.

Noise Cancellation? Didn't know we had this? Is that why when I drive with the windows down or a window down it makes that offensive reverberation rumbling sound? Interesting. ;)

2014 tire Aero Dams available from FORD
mtb9153 replied to ptjones's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Paul, I was thinking of that very same approach located between the two air dams. That way the dam across the front would be inline and hanging down no lower than the two air dams. So if anything will hit a curb or parking stop or steep driveway entrance the whole thing would hit as well. LMK if you see any improvement with them, I might have to order a pair. -

Adrian_L front fender to cowl deflector? The cowl at least in my mind is located at the base of the front windshield, like where the wiper blades are stored when not in use. I was referring the the rear window air deflectors on either side of the rear glass. That is what I was saying I want and I believe Paul does too? -
Name one like and dislike with your C-Max?

Brother Jus. I seem to be in a slump was at 43.7AvMPG now barely hanging on to 41.0 I seem to be in a spiral down-slope since things warmed up and I'm using the A/C most of the time. But I think my driving styles are the same as they were last year when it was warm and I was seeing an occasional 47 to 53. My fuelly numbers are really dropping as as result -

I still want to find a P/N for the 2014 rear window air deflectors. Last check I made at the parts counter didn't show them on the database. -
Paul sounds interesting, maybe try the heavy duty Industrial design velcro which has more and larger fibers to grab onto. The wider width probably would work best?

I refuse to buy anything not built in America. By doing so you only erode the economy that much more by buying a foreign car. Not to mention hurting American auto workers jobs. If a better solution doesn't exist from America then keep your CMax. Bottom line, I'm staying with my CMax despite the recent flurry of Nav and Sync problems I've been having. The Sync unit is crap that much I know for sure.

I like the design and concept Frank, might play with it as well on Maxus. I abandoned my earlier attempt at fabricating an Air Dam after it was torn off the undercarriage by a parking lot conflict with a curb and sidewalk. If you fully park forward in a straight in parking space with a curb/sidewalk in front of the car. Once the tires meet the concrete stop the front bumper clears with very little room for anything hanging down much under the front bumper. Yours just might clear. I'm wondering how much affect it will have when driving at speed?

Having a warm one in the Sillycorn Valley today, must be around a hundred outside. What a time for my central a/c in the house to be on the blink.

Yes 80mph is the top speed for full EV mode, if yours doesn't then something is wrong

That commerical should have been my CMax, Maxus since I have either ran into or backed into something on all four corners. I have the dents and scrapes to prove it.

I can't imagine driving on the indy circuit in any car. But in a cutting edge technology car like the CMax it must have been awesome even at 20mph. If I had been there, I would have done it in my Platinum White SEL right along side you.

truth be known I really love the Mini S when equipped in the John Cooper "Works" model option. But I don't care for it's fuel requirement of Premium gas. So my CMax is looking real good in that respect.

Haven't heard a whistle from my mirror but I'm deaf in my left ear so I wouldn't hear it very well.

Sorry you chose to sell your CMax.

In California there is no argument...get a ticket and fix if it its too dark. CHP are not flexible on this issue :judge:

What made you choose the dealership you did?
mtb9153 replied to CarpeNivem's topic in Buying, Order and Leasing
When buying my 2013 Platinum SEL CMax I chose Frontier Ford because they are down to earth and low pressure salesmen. I was treated like one of the family and still get preferred treatment. My salesman gets me all parts at his cost from the parts counter. Plus my family has bought several cars from them over the years. -
A bit premature on any 2015 spec's we're just getting into the 2014 model year. Production probably won't start until after August - September timeframe. Dealers will have little or no info on the changes before late fall most likely. Bet the actual car will not show up in the showrooms before the holidays. As for your other questions, crash tests have be good for the CMax with good side protection air bags and curtains. As for rear collision, we have had some 2013 models involved in accidents with heavy damage and the owners have faired well with exception of one who did have some lingering neck and possibly back pain with therapy involved. Can't comment on cold states issues since I'm in sunny and HOT California. As for fog lights I have them on my SEL model. I rarely use them, but if I were buying a CMax today I would not buy the SE since the creature comforts of the SEL are worth the extra $$$. I guess the reason I rarely use my fog lights is because I think they add very little to visibility. I see them mostly as a cosmetic option.

ScubaDadMiami this might be a possibility? I didn't check for air flow up on the dashboard with my hand. Thanks for the thought, next time it happens I"ll be sure to check for this. I do know for a fact that the A/C was on Max Air and the highest blower setting. There was very little air flow and allot of rushing air noise
-
Last week we had some 90 degree days here in the south bay area and I was using the A/C constantly. While driving around I noticed the A/C air flow seemed less than usual even when Max A/C was selected. Usually with that setting there is a ton of air flow and allot of air noise associated with it. However there wasn't and the flow of air was decreasing by the minute and the temperature was rising in the cabin quickly. I also noticed a rushing air sound coming from the dashboard sort of like something was restricting the flow of air forcing the cooled air to pass through a smaller path. My first guess was maybe a vacuum controlled door was sticking partially open/closed, a common problem with allot of the GM cars I've owned in the past. When I got to my destination I shut off the ignition and left the car. When I came back and restarted, the flow of A/C air pressure was normal and the air restriction sound was gone. My cool air returned as well, getting down to 48degrees according to the thermometer I have placed in one of the center vents. So in conclusion it appears I had some sort of A/C vacuum control malfunction which corrected itself by stopping and starting the ignition.

Safety Recall 14S04 - Reprogram Restraints Control Module
mtb9153 replied to ceemax71's topic in Maintenance, TSB's & Recalls
Maxus build date of late August 2012 is included, why couldn't they have announced this last week while she was getting 22.5k service at the dealer and they reconfigured the instrument panel cluster (IPC) module ? Now I have to take it back after they finally could schedule me in. Last service they were booked a week and a half in advance. Frontier Ford is floundering in service repairs right now. Duh! I wonder why? -

I'm sorry your experiences have been so bad up till now. My Maxus has worked flawlessly for the last 20 months so it is hard for me to realize how some have had such a bad time with their CMax.
