  1. Yeah, I can't believe they left this out. I have a 2hr DJ mix on mp3 and it takes FOREVER to get to the middle, I think the Fast Forward maximum jump is like 20 seconds...hold...hold...hold...hold....hold....r we there yet?...hold...hold...hold...yawn.....hold....I give up.
  2. @Ford Service - well, you wanted some ideas so how about this - put a slider bar for the USB Audio. That way, I don't have to use the "slow" fast forward (hold the press for AGES!) and get to my MP3 any where. All the media players have this and I it jus struck me, the MFT does not have a slider..... ..and have this ready for deployment in the SYNC update ;)
  3. I am going to JUS throw in my 2c as well..... My MFT this week proved to me that Global Warming does exist. I have NEVER seen that, before in my MFT where I leave my garage, it is -40F and when I get to work, it is 108F. Funny, I did not sweat one bit.... http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/3370-the-c-max-bar-the-best-place-to-greet-talk/page-4?do=findComment&comment=40001 No, I did not report this as MFT was fine the next day...and has been since. Weird.
  4. KFC tonight....white meat 3 piece, simple and plain and yes, I went to the gym to burn the calories so I can put it back on.....
  5. Its been really dry here in SoCal, we jus had some rain today but the temps have been pretty mild - and in some instance, feels like summer with mid 80s to low 90s. We hardly get any rain here anyway.
  6. Yep, know that area well, use to appraise around the Big Sky and all around Simi..Woodranch and into Moorpark...been there so I know the traffic around there. I use to swing around Madera and the downslope from the 23 as that downslope is lovely to recharge the batts after climbing that darn 23. I truly hate the climb to Rocky Peak as I live in San Fernando though....hate, hate, hate.... :gaah:
  7. lol, that's the problem right there...tofu is mostly GM :drop: Stop eating that and you may turn into a conservative libetarian...lol
  8. That;s my Company's Area 51....plus I had to hack the screen a bit to hide my location.
  9. Gen, Gen, Gen...where have u been mate? No longer the King, and thank goodness...jus enjoying my car. 12,000 miles is not quite done yet. I think and Matt will back me up, it goes to 16,000. Your city stats are interesting, 41MPG...thats pretty low MPG unless all your city is upslope while you blitz the freeway to 47-50MPG? Sure its not the other way around? :)
  10. bemyax...name NAMES, so people who are in your area are aware of their incompetence. As much as I laud Galpin for their great service, time to shout out these dealers who make Ford look very bad. Also feel free to drop a Yelp review of them as well...get the word out. Bad businesses is bad for EVERYONE. Jus my 2c.
  11. So...we have a Conservative Communist.... and a Happy Liberal.... This will make everyone happy, all the scientists, and end ALL ARGUMENT that this phenomeon DOES NOT EXIST.... Yes folks.... Global Warming does exist. Maxine left the garage and it was -40F and when she got to work, it was a SMOKING 108F I could not believe this....and my Maxine does not lie. After all, its put together by Ford, components made in China and software programmed by Micro$oft.... I present the proof.... So all you right wing, Al Gore hating, those fake emails from the global warming scientists believers...you are ALL WRONG!!!! ;)
  12. I like that....free virtual drink complements of the house for the nice PDF. What is the range of the MB? I saw TV ads touting 795 mile tanks for the Jetta TDI...not bad but for what size tank. I got a nice story for The Bar, when I get home...it is conclusive proof of SOMETHING. I suspect it will make Libs happy and Conservatives cringe...ooh...did I jus light a fire!!!!!! ;)
  13. Hee...oh where did I see that...yes, thats right...I reported that in my Secret Sauce "Jus-Another-CMax" review especially for Freeway/Highway driving. In the City, however, I would go low because the batts pack more punch & go at the 35-45mpg city speeds so go lower. In any case, 2000 rpm is a good but SLOW way to recharge. I still believe in the 2 bar burn which is more like 2500-2800 rpm but thats jus me. You can effect the battery charge & discharge. Discharge - in the EV take it to the max threshold in the EMPOWER mode and watch it drain for very lil acceleration. To conserve, learn to feather the pedal to give the car the minimum EV it needs to maintain a steady or a slight decrease in speed. You can control the charge as well - most of us hypermilers here will say we use a "1 bar" when we are in re-charge mode - all this means is that in EMPOWER mode, we kick in just 1 bar of ICE and keep it steady until you charge to the level you want. Also, per my Secret Sauce "Jus-Another-CMax" review, keeping the acceleration to a 2 bar will keep the car charging and give you decent acceleration. If you want, you can switch to the My View and put the tachy on and usually 1 bar EMPOWER = around 2000 rpm. Note, the acceleration is much slower which may p*ss off the driver behind you so be road conscious. Hope this helps...yeah, you do have control on the charging.
  14. The lesson learnt from my experience with extended warranty, at least with Jaguars, is that they do not cover hoses. There is an "o-sh*t" hose, one next to the firewall...if that hose goes, its is very, very, very expensive to take apart and repair. We did not see that when we read the contract as another hose went and we paid full bills to for labor and repair of the hose while on the extended warranty. Jus my 2c...so check for this with the Ford.
  15. Its been much cooler here and even with all the "toys" on Maxine, it's jus barely 56-58 MPG per day now, WAY DOWN than my 63MPG I was scoring in the summer. Amazing what lower temps can do to destroy MPG and hate to think what Maxine will be doing without her toys ;)
  16. I confess, I had an operator error...but it wasn't my fault...its was the body repair shop. Dead batt...whoopsie...the test driver forgot to turn off the light. A quick charge, no big deal. I am surprise how many posters would pick a Prii jus because solely on MPG...to me, thats like walking into Trader Joes and picking up a Charles Shaw 2 buck chuck and tweeting the world..."Woo wee...have I scored a GREAT value wine for $2. Drink that Mr.Grange!" PS The Penfolds Grange is $200+ bottle, and worth every penny. I know which one I would pick, now which one do u think I will pick, Nick? Oh...whats that latest Toyota recall....flamable heated seat, I guess Toyota went a wee cheap there ;) ps its midnight and I had little sleep so my comparison may be off da planet, but then again - those who know me may say this is Par for me, lol....ssssh
  17. Not many would know what I am posting about since it was aimed at yer for a good laugh, great to see u appreciate it Brother Mike  This sounds like a great MPG find, I think my wife would kill me if I did this mod. Since yesterday she already glared at me with evil eyes for the lexan grill covers. Luckily I BS my way out of her aim :victory:
  18. LizM, make sure u call them up, a replacement panel is all that is needed but it took my dealer sometime to get it. Mine has not come off since, luv-n-it
  19. AH64 - if you & others feel turned off about a potential dead battery, imagine spending 3 times more on a Tesla S (look in the News Article section). As I posted before, I suspect there is a SILENT majority with no battery issues and a very vocal dead battery owners. I don't blame them, I would be LIVID if this happened to me again & again. Unfortunately, we have no stat here to say how many sold & how many have recurring dead batteries. So like any other car, there is ALWAYS a chance for a lemon - I had one and I spent WAY more money on a 2004 Jaguar XJ, that was in the shop 20+ times for the life but you know, I had no complaints because I had a big Jaguar dealer with great customer service - Galpin Motor Group here in Van Nuys, CA. We have since bought 3 other cars from them including my CMax & 2 other Jaguar XJs ( :flirt: the cats...what can I say ;) ) However, as I posted - you need to find a large & responsible Ford dealer - the Ford warranty & dealer will cover any dead battery issues. There are a lot of bad dealers out there based on what I am seeing too.
  20. Snow, what snow this year?!?!?!? Even the Polar Vortex knows to avoid this whacked out state of ours....Governor Moonbeam needs to build a highspeed rail direct to the Vortex to bring it here, now that would be a GREAT USE of taxpayer dollar ;)
  21. ...or jus by a Prius. Nothing wrong with that ;) After all, the Prii is a wonderful MPG car, who cares about power, drive & comfort - meaningless and you get flamable seats thrown in as a special RECALL as well. :twister: is it April 1 already? darn it.... :finger:
  22. I don't think using the grill covers will cause you to overheat (Yeah sure - coming from the ONLY guy here with self-made grill covers that managed to overheat...but the laugh is on me) under normal driving conditions. Its got to around 75-85F last week and the covers & engine temps were fine. The ONLY time I overheated and the car warned me, was when I was climbing a "super" grade at 66mph with the car fully loaded, FWA on (thanks to the wifey) and it was a long sustained 3 to 4 bar burn at times. No damage done and as soon as I dropped speed back to 2 bar (speed dropped to 50-55mph), the engine immediately started cooling down back to normal. At NO time, did the engine shut off. So I won't sweat it...but I know next time not to push the engine this hard with the covers. Jus my 2c. I am still running with my covers on.
  23. May these drunk drivers FRY in hell, I was hit by one "under the DUI influence" as well....glad you're OK. You're always welcome here, even if you replaced your CMax. Hell look at salsaguy, he's not got a CMax and he's still posting like crazy.... ;)
