Yes Doug, I've seen exactly that!! Coast into the office parking lot to milk the last .01 of mpg out of the drive and the battery is waaaaaaaaaaay low. Then when I come back out at 5pm it's at nearly 1/4 charge!! How do we capitalize on that?

HAHAHA! That's what I got to drive during my upgrade, and exactly what I did.....switch the screen!! I'm hopelessly hooked!

Only those of us who live in Northern states can appreciate this Nsteblay! I'm seeing similar results, even with freeway driving at freeway speeds! It's an awesome car!

-----big sigh---- :rant2: I picked Jelly up Tuesday afternoon after the 3.5.1 upgrade, and drove it yesterday and this morning with no issues. Phone worked, SYNC buttons and paddle worked, GPS worked. YAY!!! This afternoon when I left work at 5, it was 76* out. Started the car and..................phone showed connected, but I couldn't activate SYNC to make a call and the radio didn't work......no buttons, dials, paddles worked, altho the screen showed everything as active. :sos: I unSYNCed the phone and called the dealership and drove straight over so they could see it, since they had not been able to duplicate it while they had the car last week. The service manager was there and he sat in the car for a long time, pushing buttons that didn't work and checking things out. :headscratch: Bottom line........now they think it may be a controller or something called a *pim* that is expanding in the heat ( and not functioning) and contracting when it's cooler (and working perfectly). * *I refuse to wish for cooler weather so my SYNC will work!! No way!!!**They have to pull the controller, get the part # from it to order a replacement. I'm driving a Fusion for the next few days. :runaway:

For my car it appears to be just under 70....68-69. I know when I find it, because the MPGs slowly begin to climb. Higher or lower and they drop.

I'm so sorry to hear this Laurel! Keep checking the FordEtis site, and as soon as you see it pop up, print it and take it to the dealership.

When I was on the phone with a Ford rep last week she said that the upgrade just *popped up* under my VIN #. Then I found it on the FordEtis site and printed it off to take to the dealership yesterday for an already scheduled visit. I showed it to my SA and she pulled it up on their computer and they scheduled it for right away yesterday. But I have not received a letter.

I hear ya!! I took mine in yesterday morning for the upgrade with a 3/4 tank @ 44mpg and picked it up with less than 3/4 and 38.7mpg!!!!Dang!! The good news is, in 24 hours I'm back up to 41.7! (Now you see why my dealership technician calls me MPG obsessed!!!) :doh:

Welcome MetroMan and MrsMetroMan!! Do you know when your car was built? You might want to check out the threads concerning the 3.5.1 update and make sure yours has it. We think the dealerships have been advised to do it to all their cars on the lot, but you never know......... http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/1569-351anyone-anyone/ This one is a site that will tell you if your vehicle is due for any updates. All you need is your VIN #. If your tweaking theory is true Riddley, do you think it will spill over to the rest of us via 3.5.1? I guess we'll know in a few weeks/months as more and more of us are updated.....if there is an upsurge in MPGs across the board.
