Where else? It's the place to be!

I've seen school bus drivers throw up their RED stop signs :redcard: so that traffic has to stop both ways for a pair of Canada geese to cross with babies in tow. Pretty cool!
-
Yup! :woot:

6 lanes of morning rush-hour traffic stopped on Jackson Rd. in Ann Arbor to allow a mother duck and 7 newly hatched ducklings cross. Life is good!

, Yeah, I found it. on my phone. Seeing it on FB makes it legit, right? NOT!!!

Here's hoping our members in Texas survived the tornados!! (And your C-MAXs too, of course)

Open invitation and question to those struggling with their mileage.

Ditto that!! -
So, I will do my best to remain positive. Ahhh ScubaDad! I appreciate your positive attitude.............but ....... I know how hard it is to wait. However, you have the right idea....this extra time is going to iron out all the wrinkles and make for smooth sailing once your new ride arrives. Keep us posted on any updates! We're all hoping along with you.

I need to live there :woohoo:

Uh, no, probably not. And don't expect a whole lot of sympathy from those of us in the north during those 3 weeks either.....just sayin' :hysterical:

I have had my M-Max SEL since Dec 31. I have averaged 39mpg over 8700 miles. Not what I expected Hi, and welcome to the forum! Is your individual tank mileage improving with the warmer weather? I'm in Michigan and my lifetime is 38 but the last 6 have been over 40, with the last one at 45.4. I expect to see mine continue to improve over the summer. I have 6,570 miles on mine and got it the end of November.

Ditto what he said! Drove both, SEL is waaaayyyyy better . And at first I thought the brakes were toooo touchy, but now they seem normal and when I drive my husband's van, they feel weird!

Interesting observation (to me, anyway....I'm easily amused) Yesterday afternoon I stopped at the grocery on the way home, then drove the 2 miles to my house. The mileage for that 2 miles, with the engine warmed already from the rest of the drive from work, 1/2 battery, 55 * outside, was 82 MPG!!! I know, I know, not realistic over longer miles, but still fun to see. This morning I had to stop back at the same store on my way to work. Same exact distance, virtually flat roads, but 45* out and cold engine. That 2 mile trip was 17.8MPG!!!

WTG Mrs. Hatchman!!!! You're braver than I am!!

interesting invite from my Ford dealer

That is fantastic!!! Nice to see they are paying attention........and don't feel they already know everything there is to know about the C-MAX. Because, clearly, those of us *in the trenches* so to speak, have more hands on knowledge. Can't wait to hear how it goes!! -
30s here in SE Michigan too. I was back to 38mpg on the way to work
-
So, just curious....If the lithium ion battery failed........if and when it does..........would the car still be driveable on ICE only?
-
I agree Laurel! We are the beta testers (guinea pigs?) for these cars, and there is a ton of information here for the taking, if someone from Ford were monitoring it. So glad the fix worked for BWP!!!

Well, I'm trying to do my part. I filled up yesterday (I know, I caved at 500, but not out of fear, out of necessity. Today's activities didn't lend themselves to obsessively watching the M to E or gallons used while trying to carry on conversations with fam and friends in the car. ) M to E said I still had 59, so I know I could have done more. Anyhoo, this tank average was 45.4 mpg!!!! Not too shabby, I'd say. :wub2: This next week looks pretty normal, so maybe I'll stretch it a bit. :sing_rain:
