Hi CatSailor, Nope, no connection to Ford Marketing for me. And I'm pretty sure not for Jus-a-CMax. Can't speak for RobertLane....I know he's connected to Ford somehow, just not sure what. As for the GPS, Jus had his fixed a week or so ago and says it's perfect now. I'll look up the thread and post it here for you later. Mine is messed up too, but the dealership thinks my SYNC is *allergic* to my Droid and that may be causing the Nav problems. Jury is still out on that one. Refresh me.....when did you get your C-Max? Do you know the build date?

She did tell me that they would be released over the next couple of weeks, starting yesterday, so not to get too excited until a week or 2 for the (whatever...chip? ) to arrive at the dealerships.

Alphabetical? Area of the country? Larger dealerships? I don't know what the common denominator is.......maybe there is none. I'll be calling my new best friend on Tuesday for more info and will report in.

There is a theory that something was changed along the way by Ford that caused a major upswing in MPGs in the C-MAXes built after the first of the year.

I was on my way to a 550 mile tank this time, until I let the dealership drive it while analyzing another problem.............but that's another story! :runaway: Anyway, I was down to 9 miles to empty with 17 miles to drive home and no stations between and no 2 gal tank in the back. :doh: ( I KNOW Jus! I'm jus not that brave yet). The warning light had come on twice and the tank was yellow. So I stopped at the last station and got 1 gal. (I wanted to use my Kroger points when I got home to get 30 cents off, so I could try premium....as suggested in another thread). :drool: So I pumped this 1 gallon in, got back in, and lo and behold...........A MIRACLE happened...........I now had 91 miles to empty!! :drop: Since my mpg average at that point was 43.9.........that tells me there is more *in the bank* than the gauge tells us!. Note to self: have more guts next time. :shift:

I got mine in Nov. 2012 also. Hopefully there will be more and more who have this note in their files!!!

*****Stupid question alert***** Printed off the directions from the SYNC site and have the thumb drive ready. Step 5 says plug USB drive into USB port............check Press AUX to select SYNC Line In. Press OK..............HUH? Where is AUX?

No, no tricks. I've seen that too. Seems to happen on the flattest part of my route when I'm on the x-way.

Thanks Zhackwyatt! I'm hoping when I upload the *current* version, it will show that there is a newer version aka 3.5.1 for my car at some point in the near future. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what the Status Checker is supposed to do, but as I've said before, I'm an *Incurable Optimist*!!!

Has anyone done this? I want to run it in my car, but don't want to sit still to do it. I'm a multi-tasker... :woohoo: Do you know if you can run it while driving?

I'll add my welcome here MaxwellHammer (love the name and the song BTW!) So sorry for your loss! From another Jeep convert (mine was a Liberty, 2002), you're gonna change your driving style and be glad you did! I only wish I had known of this forum when I first got my car. I've had my SEL for about 6 months and love it! My dealership also offered a tutorial with their tech expert, which happened about a month after I got the car. By that point I had already mastered some things, but still had questions. I would suggest downloading the owners' manual (I'll send the link in a minute) because then you can search for terms. It's not the best OM in the world. There are members of the forum who have been here since last summer, when the C-MAX first made it's appearance, so there is almost always someone who can answer your questions. Just think! With all the reading you've been doing, you'll be ready to hit the ground running (in EV mode, of course!) when your new C-MAX arrives next week! Let the countdown begin!! Again, Welcome!
