:clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: Welcome AZgman ! (Just me perhaps, but H___ (strongly dislike in pc lingo) those stinking diesels all over Europe fouling the air)

ECO mode Cruise Control is always a selective operation - but, (and it goes without saying) never for ramps or merging, and not in heavy traffic. We also tap in, tap up, tap down, tap out when necessary .......... whatever works nicely for the road/traffic conditions .................... for me it's all about not using the feet when cruising the open freeway and other major roadways for long drives. I prefer to use my wrist rather than stress out my right knee - lots of knee problems. Works great. To each his own, pass the poupon, Nick

Desert 'power' with great paint ! Go Solar !!! Nick

Ditto Snowstorm - addicted to ECO mode cruise control - and for us exclusively. For the same fundamental reasons; smooth rational acceleration control. Mostly freeway, and longer arterials. Sweetness, :wub2: and pass the poupon. (Way too lazy for hypergaming) Nick :skateboard:

Almost four years (47 months). Four oil changes, one warranty claim for screen failing - all free of charge, not a single penny - oh, wait I did buy two little screws once for 59 cents or something like that. Great fast service from Pierre Ford in Seattle. Ours well built and very reliable. :jump_earth: Hope your issues resolve quickly CMax16, Low miles Nick

C-Maxing Cal-Solar -
Guessing, I think the C-Bolt EV (or is that the C-Max EV) will be a winner for many with a range that begins to be reasonable. It would almost work for us. Too late though, and perhaps not with the key features that brought us to buy a C-Max. 10-15 years from now when we are shopping again the market should be flooded with even better options. Good luck HotPotato, Cheers to under $30K, :play: :skateboard: :play:, Nick

My wife wouldn't last three miles with hypermiling, thus none. (I agree with Frank) Huge CONGRAT's Paul !!! Keep on inspiring !!!

Congrats Scottwood2 - stellar numbers in both regards !!! :worship: :hat_tip: :hat_tip: :hat_tip: :worship: Hmmm, maybe Snow you could become a reviewer moderator (forgot the title) and bring us up to date ??? (Yust a thought) Nick

Now that's a lovely sight ! :) :) :)

Nice to see the 'old buggy' creep up from 9th position in January to 5th position in June - not bad for an older model. Still the best out there in so many ways. :) :chacha: :)

Screamin good tank Scottwood2 !!! :rating: Eeeyoysa, 700 so close, that one would have been worth going for - next time. Congratz, Nick

What's in your C-Max today?

Love to see a pic of that trailer inside - great hauling jkaminsky! -
Annoying rattle was stabilizer bar links
C-MaxSea replied to djc's topic in Brakes, Chassis, Park Assist & Suspension
I agree Frank. We have experienced the same slowing for a turn brake jerk (pad slip & catch) a couple times coming off the freeway at one specific location. At around 97 percent recovery on our brake score, I too think it is the lack of friction brake use and am trying to find good opportunities to invoke the pads now and then without an oncoming turn, just to give the pads and rotors some work & leveling. I got a Blackstone oil analysis after break in
C-MaxSea replied to jackalopetx's topic in Lounge: C-MAX Hybrid
Seems so. Great that you are posting us so well on your higher miles. To be clear Paul, are you saying 200k, 300k on the vehicle, which would be 100k, 150k on the ICE? That should be easy, eh. (((maybe double that ?))) Nick- 14 replies

I got a Blackstone oil analysis after break in
C-MaxSea replied to jackalopetx's topic in Lounge: C-MAX Hybrid
So Paul, just so I understand your glowing report correctly, that would be: 118k on your C-Max, 56,862 ICE miles, and 11,400 miles on the oil that was analyzed. The analyst seemed quite impressed and recommended that you go even further (13,000 miles) on your next oil run. Thanks for sharing, As you know, we are in the opposite mode only putting 5-10 K on our 2013 C-Max per year, and may need to put time in the equation for oil changes. For now we are getting free changes once a year for 5 years. After that we will be guessing at an appropriate interval in our 'miles vs time' oil change equation. Nick- 14 replies

I agree B4, keeping the human torso bent at greater than 90 degrees at the waist is my mantra as well. The crunched seating position (less than 90 degrees) in many sedans is not good for me with my long legs. The 'comfort height' seat in our C-Max is much preferred for me & my wife - not to mention the great entry way. Proper seating position with good lumbar support is a must !!! The happy knees & back club, Nick (((Still Eco Cruising as much as possible here in 'auto pilot' zone; although ironically, driving a manual shift in Italy back in April/May improved the minor left knee and hip pain I occasionally have. ;)))) Skip the P & G for me, and pass the poupon, please. :dancing:

"Fly me to the Moon and let me play among the Stars ..............." Sounds great Paul, go for it ! Stargazin? Nick (((Is that an oversized hockey puck ? )))

Well there you go Edward - screaming past a bundle of 600 ers, including yours truly. Great driving, great tank, congratulations and :hat_tip:  :hat_tip:!!! Nick (((Keep in mind the short runs are all about elevation difference, HVB SOC, and engine warmth/warm-up. Sky's (999 mpgs) the limit if you have all three going for you)))
-
Congratz Edward !!! Looks like you could 'climb the board' with more 600+ tanks. As Paul says, shoot some air in those tires. The ride at 45-48 psi is great (have not tried 50, I'm sure it is fine as well). Sure wish I had a good E0 opportunity. We get 'points' for our groceries, so I'm stuck with Kroger gas, whatever that is. I do not think it is as good as some other brands. Nick

Soooooooo glad we don't have a 'Prius' button; what a let down that would be - eeeeeeeeek !!! "Eco Cruise", we use it all of the time (AMAP) on the freeway - going miles & miles just tweaking the + or - occasionally. Smooth, efficient - Fab ! (((48.1 on the Lifetime' badge (46 at the pump) - guess we thrash it too much in the city ;) ))) Nick

I just switched to Firefox and all of my (Window's Internet Explorer) gremlins disappeared ! :happy feet:

I got my crazy MPG back......... (Oh, long time no post!)
C-MaxSea replied to Recumpence's topic in Fuel Mileage
Ditto Snowstorm, welcome back Matt - I need to get the grill cover thing going as well. (I've been losing a little ground on MPG's lately) Nick
