I've had a couple time on my 16 where the ready to drive doesn't come on and it was because I didn't have the brake pressed enough to register. I just pushed more and hit the button again and it was fine. I did have one time where I thought it wasn't working but I was down a hill a bit and the wheel was turned to blocking the dash. Turns out you have to give the throttle a big enough push to overcome the anti rollback brakes feature. In that moment I had forgotten that detail and panicked.

They are working well. Seem to be doing 43-45 when it's at or below freezing. Now I have a few prices of Velcro that keep popping off on the one corner I need to fix

I applaud him as well. There must have been a fair amount of time put into this plan. I just need to find a way to overcome my fear of the license plate falling off.

I'm not deciding anything just trying to get an understanding of level of effort for all options. I'm opposed to putting any more holes into the bumper, but I don't want to destroy the cover either. (I have great respect for what you have done for this) I've thought about using the upper license plate holes to attach through the opening in the gill some how using a strap or something but I'm not sure yet if that would work.

Im in Warrenton. The first day I drove with my grill covers noticed my ICE turning off about a mile sooner on a 30 degree morning. I also notice that driving on EV the temp gauge doesn't drop significantly noticeable. Today I had to go to Herndon for one of my customers and got 50+mpg both ways and wasn't really trying. I did have a few panic stops which are quite frequent around there.

Interesting ideas. What's the best tool to cut that Lexan? Jigsaw metal blade?

Wow version 2.2?? I wonder if my car will update now. I still have 1.0 sync3 and when the mobile apps don't show up I open them on my phone and then it links up. I have iPhone. These are called Applink and it's not apple/android play stuff. I believe you need an upgraded USB port to support that.

I thought about blocking the top off too but I think I will save that for when we don't have 60 degree days after a 20 degree day. When you got that temperature alarm did your temp gauge move above half way (gradually) or was it all the way to red? I guess I'm really asking if you monitored it before/during/after

Here's a quick shot of how mine look now. I'm considering putting my license plate bracket back on and trimming the cover to go around it. I find myself worrying constantly about the plate and covers falling off or someone taking it.

I've been working a bit on the pulse and glide. I stick with the 2-bar rule, but in Northern VA you can get pushed off the road if you don't dip into 2.5-3 at times. Currently at 44.5 with grill covers. I get stuck sitting in lines a lot and I love my heat so I get a fair amount of idle time. I was at 45.5 but then had a few cold days (8-20) and dropped to 43.

I've noticed I'm not getting notifications when I'm subscribed to a thread either. The Energi form works fine.

Today at 22 mine did the same. Started right away after turning on. Climate system was already off Same this this am at 14. Grill covers seem to keep things a bit warmer today while moving. The heater keeps draining the temp. I keep it on recirculate set to feet and face. Turn off the face when it starts to fog up (auto turn off recirculate) and set it back when it gets cleared up.

And my wife wonders why I always check the oil after it's changed

I just put my covers on today and will go for a ride tomorrow. It was about 22 degrees today and same prediction tomorrow. Past few days have been mid to low 30s and sitting in traffic leaving customers sites I was getting pretty cold. Kept the heat on recirculate so it wasn't too bad. Also found out I can grab lunch across the street and back all on EV (.6mi). My coworker can't stand the silence lol.

I wonder if doing the oil change is a mistory to then too. That's scary.
