  1. If you do have an Energi, and are wondering about electrical compatibility, you should be fine. The Energi only pulls about 3.25 kW from a 240V charger, and the chargers around here can supply 6kW or more. Like fbov said, if you're not sure between Energi and Hybrid check for the charge port in the left front fender, but also the badging (Energi or Hybrid), the "EV" button on the dash, the trunk floor level higher than the folded-down seats.
  2. Yeah, the windshield vents are what does it. Although opening the floor vents (I think) makes it a bit less insistent.
  3. The car really doesn't like to recirculate when you have the defrost on. But yes, it turns off recirculate on its own.
  4. Yeah, that looks like a deep rich blue to me, and I am not color-blind. Well, when my wife tells me to pick clothes that go together....
  5. The links to the articles in both of today's postings aren't reachable from here, probably not from anywhere outside Ford's firewall.  Please post them on a public website.

  6. The link in today's posting isn't reachable from outside ford.com.

  7. I had a Subaru Forester with the well-known head-gasket issue (drips everywhere), and I used full synthetic for evaluation. When I changed oil the next time, the tech told me that when she opened the drain plug, only a few drops came out, and that the synthetic had save the engine. Good enough for me!
  8. On my 2013 Energi, there's a button at the bottom right of the center panel that pops it, right next to the gas cap popper.
  9. That smells like blame the victim, doesn't it?
  10. I'm blessed by having lots of free chargers for my Energi along rte 495! Littleton MBTA, 99s (Westford and Tewksbury), Chilis (first hour, anyway). Several of the Chelmsford chargers used to be free.
  11. Welcome! We're neighbors; I live in Concord and work in Westford. I have a 2013 Energi that's still going string.
  12. It's supposedly going to get merged with this forum Real Soon, but it's been weeks.
  13. Start it like you did in the video, roll down the window, turn the AC off and back on.
  14. Yeah, the AC compressor(?) makes that noise whenever it's running. Horrible.
  15. Yes, the high seating and headroom are some of my favorite features!
  16. If you buy something named Mustang, you don't ask about the MPG!!!
  17. And, of course, this morning *my* sound quit working, with your exact symptoms. My car reads this forum!
  18. Pull and re-insert fuse #79 in the cabin fuse box. You're seeing one of the symptoms of one of the electronic units losing its mind, and there's no other way to reset it.
  19. My wife's now-departed FEH had that same thing happen. Cabin fan got Really Loud...
  20. My wife closed the gap in the belt guide with nicely-colored duct tape, wrapped both ways so no stickum is exposed. Works a treat! The belt is in midair when we drop the seats, but that's minor...
  21. No, regen is all in the drive motors, not at the wheel. The wheels turn the motors, which can act as generators when being turned, instead of turning themselves.
  22. I've been looking but not finding for a fuse that has a "disconnect" button on it. I've found breakers that have reset buttons, but not a disconnect. This would be invaluable for folks like us who need to pull fuses occasionally. Has anybody seen such a thing?
  23. The fault that pulling fuse 79 fixes has many different symptoms. Last evening, the touch-screen feedback noise was off, the volume knob and buttons didn't work, but I could still play music from my phone through bluetooth. This morning, the BT screen just said "undefined" and I couldn't play anything until I reset the fuse.
  24. Ouch, I use my CMax's pump for everything now, bikes, other cars, you name it.
