I have this enabled on my 2014 C-MAX.  I only have rear parking sensors. It required changes to as-built data in two places in the APIM (first change enables the overhead view of the little car onscreen, the second shows the graphical rear sensor levels when in reverse):

7D0-01-01 xBxx xxxx xxxx - changed 2nd digit to "B"

    7D0-02-02 x3xx xxxx xxxx - changed 2nd digit to "3"

My wife has the car with her until mid next week or I would take a photo.

It would be super cool to get that overlay if we can.

I have a 2017 C-Max Energi Titanium (so it has the auto park, blis and rear cross traffic alerts).

    PAM - Parking Aid Module:
    Part number: CJ5T-15K866-BH
    Calibration level: CJ5T-15K866-BH
    Strategy: CJ5T-14C090-BH
    Calibration: CJ5T-14C091-BJ

I also do not show an option to edit the asbuilt for the PAM module. The only option that shows up for it is firmware upgrade.

I'll have to pay closer attention to mine and see if that's the same. I HAVE been fiddling with the app and refreshing it a lot and that also seems to trigger the vehicle to wake up and start pulling power briefly from the EVSE. Here's my power usage graph since Mar 27th:

I'll try not to mess with the app and see what shows up going forward.

The only issue I ran into was the actual side panel (the final piece of the puzzle to remove) wouldn't come out easily. It is wedged under a lip of metal on the top of the battery casing in the back corner right behind the seat. I had to essentially 'rock out' the panel from the top. This is different than what the WSM suggests sliding it straight out.

Other than that, the rest of the process was straightforward. Once I was able to get the side panel off, I basically followed the same exact instructions laid out in the CSP for the TCU installation including placement, use of velcro strips, etc.. Since the DIY modules are essentially identical to the official ones, that process is no different.

EDIT: As an FYI for the thread as a whole, I'll work on updating and cleaning up the initial post of the thread with the new and relevant info we have so far. Will try and get this done in the next day or two.

TL;DR: Despite some old threads either here or on the defunct Energi forum and some other communities saying Global Close wouldn't be an option, it looks like it actually is on our vehicles!

Just as an explainer what 'Global Open' and 'Global Close' are for those unaware: This allows rolling your windows down and back up via the keyfob outside the vehicle. The process is as simple as pressing the lock/unlock button once and then immediately press and hold it for about 3-5 seconds and the windows will roll up or down (unlock for down, lock for up). Unlike the Global Open function, Global Close only requires pressing and holding the lock button once to engage. Global Open will continue to require pressing the unlock button once and then pressing and holding it again to operate. At any time you can press lock or unlock to stop the windows while they are opening/closing.

NOTE: It appears newer models years like the 2017 and newer already have this enabled and specifically detail it in the owners manual. Before changing this willy nilly, confirm yours does not already have this enabled using the fob operation noted above.

There was a thread that popped up on the CyanLabs forum from a Fiesta owner who was trying to tackle enabling Global Close and the always helpful F150chief pointed out a thread for Kuga's (European Escape, essentially the same platform as the C-Max) on doing a relearn process on the auto-up/down functions on the windows to try and get it working. Not exactly sure what specific step finally solved it, but here's the process:

WARNING! You are making changes to the Body Control Module. This module is crucial to vehicle operation and manages functions like interior and exterior lighting as well as ignition operation. If you are not comfortable messing with this and/or ForScan, please don't. Following these instructions is at your own risk and I am not responsible for any damages or malfunctions incurred as a result.

As always with changes like these, please back up your AsBuilt/module configurations before making changes! Also follow all notes and warnings given to you by ForScan and their own resources.

In ForScan, go into the module configuration screen and choose the 'Central Configuration' (NOT AsBuilt!) for the BdyCM module. Locate the Global Open/Global Close configuration entry and change it to the 'Global open/close doors enabled (3 seconds)' option. I think this is listed as 02? Write this to the module. Follow all directions ForScan gives you in this process. For completeness sake, I relearned the auto-up/down functions on all four windows. This is as simple as rolling a window both down AND up completely and holding the switch in those positions for about 5 seconds to learn the extent of travel. NOTE: If the one touch up/down on your windows does not work immediately, it will impact the Global Open/Close functionality. Messing with some modules like the BdyCM/BCM can do this and the relearn process noted here will need to be done. Once the one touch up/down works, you should be fine.
And that was it! I can now confirm the windows now can also roll up via the keyfob. I'll try and get screenshots from the options in ForScan for later to add here.

One thing to keep in mind is if the ICE -JUST- started and is cold, the car is going to prefer to let it idle and warm up without a load before it has it contributing to propulsion of the vehicle. Cases that will override this are heavier acceleration or low HVB level as examples. But under mild to moderate accelerator application it will have the electric motor do the lions share of acceleration until the ICE is ready to go (read: All the normal cold start emissions checks are done, O2 sensors are happy, etc..)

Same boat here with the lack of VC/Go Time functions in the app so far. They function just fine in Sync though.

One user on the Focus BEV forums just posted at least having those functions in FordPass (hasn't confirmed them working) with the Sync screens working like ours. The Focus BEV was the one thing explicitly called out in this upgrade CSP as not having the 'scheduled charging' functions until sometime this Summer. So I'm curious if that is still going to affect us to some degree.

Thankfully with me working from home and already using public charging sparingly (maybe a handful of times a year at best), the default VC profile works perfectly.

Looks like data is finally starting to show for me after actually being able to make a few trips and not just sit in my garage. I lost the departure times and EV trip options that were there previously cut everything else is now working reliably.

I did turn on the journey stuff in FordPass but I was able to confirm data flowing through to my Home Assistant install which only pulls data from Ford/'The Cloud'.

Also was able to link FordPass to my Google Home which it wouldn't let me before saying the vehicle needs to be activated first.

I believe for the tire pressure stuff that much like the old TCU's and MyFord Mobile, with these H series TCU's it's only going to alert you if tire pressures are low but won't go into more detail. Supposedly, based on info on the F150 forums Sync Connect retrofit thread, the Hotspot equipped J/K TCU's will show individual tire pressures.

There IS a trick that someone made me aware of in the CyanLabs Discord where you can pull in more detailed info than what the app shows through the Ford website. Unfortunately with no data being populated on mine yet, this trick is also unavailable to me. Interesting development tonight...had to drive into town for a few hours, and there is a Chargepoint station near my location, so I plugged in to charge for the trip home.  After coming out, Ford Pass now showed additional info in the app, and saved the charge location to my charge log.  When I arrived home and plugged in to value charge overnight, I now see the same message banner at the bottom telling me the car is waiting to charge, the estimate when it will complete, and a button to click for more details.  I had not seen this before.  But I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning to see if I receive the same notifications post charge.

Ok. Looks like there's a similar delegation process in FordPass based on this FAQ.

TL;DR (if I'm reading this correctly): If the vehicle is already active on an existing FordPass account, a secondary unique account can add the VIN and the authorization request will come through the app vs another authorization in the vehicle.

Also, if you go to Settings > Vehicle on your Sync 3 center screen look at the Modem Serial number (ESN). If it starts with a U then you have a 4G/LTE modem. If it starts with a T then it's a 3G modem.

No. The 3G shutdown won't affect the radio, navigation, or other in vehicle functions. What you are seeing is the common issue of the ACM (Audio Control Module, handles the AM/FM/Sirius tuners and audio routing to the speakers) freezing. Pull fuse 79 in the passenger side fuse box under the glove compartment for a minute or two to reset. A proper fix for this is to have your dealer update the ACM. Other Ford models have had TSBs for this same issue calling to update it as the proper fix.

Alright folks, I'm happy to confirm upgrading my TCU strategy to version -UM did the trick.  I now have the charging funtions available in SYNC 3 again! I was able to reload a default Value Charge profile, and I also used the Ford Pass app to set Go Times (the app calls them 'Departure Times') which now show up in SYNC 3 as well.  The only bit still not working correctly is being able to set a Charge Level Notification within Ford Pass.  It just spins the loading function, but ultimately can't save it.  So I'm going to give that some time to hopefully sort itself out.  But I'm so pleased to have Departure Times and Value Charging back!

I remember when I did the original conversion, it took almost 48 hours for the stats you mentioned above to fully populate.  Go Times, charge notifications, and charge logs are the last bits I need to call this project done.  The -UM calibration file is loading in FORSCAN right now.  I'll check back in after a couple hours with a report.

Value charge now appears to be working! I have a 2017 C-Max Energi with Sync 3 and a dealer-installed 4G modem. I was able to load value charge times for my home location using the FordPass app on Android as shown in one of the screenshots. I plugged the car in at about 7:30 PM tonight and it did not start charging until 9 PM as it was supposed to according to the value charge times that I loaded.
There are two items of note:
    1. Loading the value charge times through the FordPass app appears to have deleted the Default value charge times that I had installed previously. I have not tried to reinstall them yet--that will be the next thing to try.
    2. The value charge times that have been loaded through the FordPass app *cannot* be edited using the Sync 3 console in the car. I think they can only be edited or deleted through the FordPass app.
I hope this information is helpful to someone.

OK, I finally bought myself an OBD USB adapter, installled Forscan on my laptop and ran it on the 2017 C-Max Energi. It reports the TCU configuration shown in the attached screenshot. As previously noted, I had a 4G modem installed by a Ford dealer on January 11, 2022 and it was activated on FordPass on January 16, 2022. I should know in a few days whether the value charge features are now working or not. I hope this information is helpful to someone.

Sounds like a worthwhile endeavor.  Here are snips of my current part number (from a 2017 Escape) and calibration version along with the firmware available for upgrade.  I had thought about doing the upgrade when the weather starts to warmup since it supposedly calls for 5 hours to perform.  Gotta get the battery charger out for that one.

So I am lurking on the CyanLabs Discord and a user posted a pic of the official upgrade module and surprisingly it is another H series TCU like the one I have and the one @bakedpatato have on hand from '17 Escapes. The official part # posted is HJ5T-14G087-UM (mine is HJ5T-14G087-UF).

This got another thought in my head and that is if there may be a differing calibration/strategy level on these? Just a wild guess as to a possible other avenue why the VC/Go Times features don't work. If those who have DIY'd it can confirm what ForScan reports on these fronts? @oldbeyondmeasure or anyone else here who has done the official upgrade can pull that info from ForScan as well, that'd be greatly appreciated. I'd be happy to help with the process if needed. For these tasks, a dirt cheap Bluetooth or USB ELM adapter will work. And for just pulling part numbers and strategies, I believe even the mobile app for ForScan will suffice.

I'll definitely be reviewing that info myself once I get around to doing the install this weekend and may see if the folks over on the CyanLabs boards have any info on new strategy/calibration levels for these.

Probably a long shot and dead end on the issue, but one that should at least be relatively easy to rule out.

EDIT: Sounds like we should potentially have a calibration/strategy level in line for that official -UM module. Probably wouldn't be bad to still get tallies of what other part numbers show up as these appear to be rebuilt/refurbed units potentially. Maybe someone will end up with a matching UF down the line? Not sure, just more guesses.
