  1. I was looking for some more motorcraft orange prediluted antifreeze that I've bought 2 years ago (# VC3DILB (3DIL) ), but apparently Ford doesn't sell it anymore. Instead they have the Yellow Prediluted Antifreeze now only. Did Ford update and recommend the yellow stuff now? Would it be OK to mix the orange with the yellow one? Or should I flush it first??
  2. Almost bought the wrong battery. My 2014 SEL manual says to use motorcraft BXT-96R-590 for battery when it should be BXT67R instead. Good thing I've double checked the old battery in the trunk for the correct #. Lasted me 7 years and 118 000 miles. Bought from the dealer and has a date on it from October 2021...so pretty fresh.
  3. I had that problem in the first years until I adjusted the Latch myself. It was very annoying but now everything is good. There are these 2 liftgate stoppers on each side of the body....I got them a little loose and pulled them far out..then closed the liftgate. After that I retightened the stoppers in the position they were. Also loosened all the lock parts and pulled the door from inside to a locked position and retightened the screws. I have the manual liftgate though.
  4. Thanks. I know in the manual it says you can use the 5w20 blend if 0w20 isn't available. But I'd rather use the 0w20 full syn from Mobil 1. My oil fill cap also says 0w20. I was just wondering if Ford also switched to full syn oil as recommended oil since they took the 0w20 Blend off their website.
  5. Did Ford update the Motor oil recommendation for the 2014 Cmax? When I go to the Ford parts side and enter my vin# to check for recommended oil, it shows No applicable results found for my car. Only the coolant shows up. According to manual it needs the 0-20 semi blend, but they don't even sell it anymore on their website. I know they updated the spark plug #. ?
  6. Yes.... I did. But I would use the same stuff that's already in there. Mine was not expensive from the Ford dealer. Like $12 for the gallon.
  7. My car came original with the Michelin Energy, and my mpg went down with my new Firestone Tires?. Only reason I didn't get the ENERGY's again was the prize...they're pretty expensive...though they lasted me 90 000 miles. Next time I might just get them again.
  8. I had the problem once, but I assumed I didn't put it tight enough.
  9. Maybe a brake caliber is stuck? Did you check if any of the wheels is hotter than the others after you drive a while?
  10. I wonder why they didn't just use the orange coolant. Would bother me too on such a new car. My 2014 sel has 115 000 ml and still original brake pads and rotors. But I also had to buy new solid lug nuts because of the swollen originals. I believe they swell from using the impact wrench on them...pretty sure if you would hand torque them to the specified 100 ft-lbf  , they would be OK.
  11. Good advise here. I used engine brake once on a pretty steep downhill and thought the rpms were way too high. Will not do it again. ( i used the transmission control switch on the side of the gearshift lever to activate grade assist, not the L gear)
  12. I stopped trusting the dealer, sometimes you get better service from a small independent repair shop. My dealer seems to have too many cars to work on and they are on a tight schedule, so it seems they work more like on one of these quick lube places. Just trying to get the car out as quick as possible. Since I've started doing my own service, I've noticed a lot of sloppy work was done from them. Like some screws are missing from the under engine cover and my lug nuts are swollen from overtightening with the impact gun.

    From the album: cmax

  14. The black inner part does not come off separately. I remember it is kind of hard to take the light out, you have to really push hard - more towards the front. And I would recommend to wear some protective cloves because you can hurt yourself while trying to remove the lamp.
  15. Supposedly the dealers make most of their money with servicing the cars, not by selling them....that's why they want to see you every 5000 miles?

    2013 cmax front

I have one more photo. I don't know if you can buy this front here since it is for the euro model. Maybe check some euro websites and see if they would ship to US.
  17. I did mine last month with exactly the same oil and filter, also from walmart ?
  18. Wow, 15 k miles only...that's almost like new. ?
  19. Well, I don't like it as a food nor over here...please fix it guys.?
  20. My 2014 SEL came with MICHELIN Energy (most expensive tires ☹️ but lasted more than 90 k miles)
