I heard this story on the radio (in the C-MAX). It said the US automakers are really gaining market share with the younger crowd which for the last 30 years have leaned to foreign auto makers.
I requested a C-MAX brochure from the ford.com website. I got it in about 2 weeks. On the inside back cover was a $750 rebate coupon that tacks on to the standard $750 rebate.
Jon, welcome to the forum. I've had my car for two weeks and I'm loving it. I apparently have the latest update to Sync and MFT and it is behaving well. Hopefully it will be released for retrofit for the earlier cars soon. I'll check out your blog.
I just got my jukebox (thumb drive) set up yesterday. I went out and ran some errands listening to Santana. Pretty darn sweet. I love the voice recognition.
I haven't noticed any of the Nav problems discussed here. My car was built on 2/13/13. Syncmyride says I have Sync VersionGen2 - V3.5.1 I tried to verify on the car itself but couldn't find it.
I got a door ding in my Fusion when it was only a few months old. I had Dent King (paintless dent removal) pop it out for $75. It's well worth it. Your dealer probably works with someone like them.
I came home with a new Ruby Red C-MAX SEL with the 302A package yesterday. I've been looking at small SUV or cross-overs for a year. I thought I wanted the Escape but I wasn't happy with the gas mileage. I got to looking at the C-MAX and I think it will give me all the utility I need. Four wheel drive or off road clearance was never a concern. I spent most of last night reading the owners manual. Lot's of technology to learn in this car. I'll will be good to share thoughts and questions with the rest of you.
