  1. The turning radius is the only thing I seriously HATE about this car. I am used to my old Subaru's, and tho that end, I am spoiled. The C-Max is a terrible 180 turner, IMO. I almost always require 3pts to do a 180 on an suburban street. In the first months of owning it, I had to use 3pts to park. I have since learned to swing out a little wider on approach.
  2. I reset my lifetime because the car had 260+ miles on it, a 75% brake score, LMPG of 25.6, and only 150 EV miles. I picked to reset at 1K because the rest of those nearly 700 miles I used to learn how to drive a hybrid. Since the flip, 98% brake score, 45.5 LMPG, 249 miles, 174 of those are EV miles :)
  3. I reset my Lifetime at 1,000k. I won't be resetting again for the same reason as you.
  4. I am not the one who drove like I stole it, lol. I was just laughing. Altho, I did drive the Subaru like it was meant to be driven :wub2:
  5. I had a 2004 WRX, a 2005 STi, then an 2011 STi. That phase of my life is not over. I love modding cars and it is a long standing hobby of mine. There is no bike, but it isn't over. I bought this car for all the money savings. In a few years, I will be able to have a toy car again, but it is the wrong time right now, so I made the grown up decision. Here is the way MY situation broke down, compared to the STi: Yearly Insurance differential: -$564/yr Monthly Payment differential: -$1200/yr Octane: Regular vs Premium fuel: Average price difference in my area is about -$0.30-0.40/Gal Fuel tank size differential: -2.5/gal Vehicle range: STi - 200 miles city miles (refilled at 1/4 tank, without fail); C-Max - 550+ for me so far. (refilled at 1/8 tank, without fail) Fill-up's per month: STi - every 7-10 days; C-Max - 3.5 week average so far
  6. I REALLY need to read up on the MyView thing. I had no idea so many options were available for display.
  7. Yep, that is what I am doing, too. My work and home locations are fairly flat anyway. I am going to try to set a new point 1 mile away each from work and home. This would be interesting to test for me. Once it is trained on the new locations, I can run EV+ until it forgets them (because of me not powering off the vehicle "in route" at the previously stored).
  8. THIS is exactly why I posed the question. All my previous knowledge is being challenged by hybrid technology. I am not new to closed loop operation and how little intakes alone do for modern engines. It almost always requires a re-tune, or flash, to see any benefit in performance. I was curious about FE on an otherwise non-modded engine, though.
  9. I found my EV+ locations to be pretty useless, so I turned my EV+ mode off . For Sh*ts and Giggles, I turned it back on yesterday. It has forgotten both my stored EV+ locations. My guess is that since I turned mine off, it reset my locations. I am going to manually retrain mine and see what results I can come up with.
  10. It was in the 1st post;) I now have the $$$ for the clear bra, so that and the tint are the next biggies on my list. Probably get that done in 2 weeks and of course, pics to follow:) Mine likes to cross her legs as a passenger. This tends to put dirt streaks on the center console "kick" panels, lol.
  11. ~Ford OEM Side Window Deflectors (Part No: DM5Z-18246-A) - 04/06/2013 Easy install, all necessary parts and supplies included. All you have to do is scuff the surface with the included green pad, wipe with supplied alcohol wipes to clean surface - let dry 3 minutes, apply 3M Adehesion promoter - let dry 3 minutes. Now, remove the the red tape, line them up and stick them on. The worst part of the install being the application of the 3M Adhesion Promoter It goes on easy, but will cause your fingers to be very sticky (my fingers felt like they were going to be glued closed, lol). Some serious scrubbing was required to get all the black off my fingers. The next big thing is that it really helps to have a 2nd set of hands to help hold things in place while you peel the backing off the 3M tape. That 2nd set of hands also helps keep things aligned during application. As mentioned in another thread, these deflectors ARE NOT IN-CHANNEL versions. They tape on, which means they WILL NOT COME OFF without fight and will certainly make a mess of the exterior if you try to take them off. Be sure you want them before buying them. I drove around and did notice a little bit more noise than usual with the windows cracked/ open. It does not seem like anymore noise than is created by any other window vent visors, so I am satisfied. Full Side ViewSide (Front to Rear)Side (Rear to Front)
  12. ~WeatherTech FloorLiner™ DigitalFit® - Grey (Front & Rear) - 03/27/2013 Install of these is so easy it is not worth it to type it out. They fit very well in the back. The front ones are just a tiny bit off. I locked the the driver's side one down using the factory mount locations, but as you will see, there is a very small gap around the edges on the front mats. I am still satisfied with the choice because I know these suckers hold water, not absorb it. They are super easy to remove for cleaning, too.
  13. Installed mine this weekend. They are the same part# used by the OP. Easy install, with the worst part being the application of the 3M adhesion promoter. The next big thing is that it really helps to have a 2nd set of hands to help hold things in place while you peel the backing off the 3M tape. That 2nd set of hands also helps keep things aligned during application. Pics can be found in my Members Journal. I drove around and did notice a little bit more noise than usual with the windows cracked/ open. It does not seem like anymore noise than is created by any other window vent visors, so I am satisfied.
  14. Unless you already extremely dislike the Ford wheels to begin with, that is.

That, and I don't want to give away all my ideas just yet ;) This post will be updated as I progress through my modification cycles. Installation instructions/ reviews for certain modifications will be posted in this thread, and linked back to this post. :wub2: my C-Max.
  16. The GPS module is located in the SYNC system, if I am not mistaken. Ford simply found a way to use the data that was already being collected.
  17. My home was recognized today so the 11+ method seems to be working.
